Wow... tapered nuke. So simple, but brilliant. It has the turnaround possibility of Axe, but with a much more satisfying mechanic overall. HoN has stepped up their game since I quit. Even if they can't balance everything, I hope that they will start looking into having their originals featured in other games ;-).

This one deals damage and disables healing.

i always love HoN hero spotlight than LoL because of incredible intro and ending + ms Pudding is way better than Phreak

@UhhGawblin those are however direct ports with minor tweaks. Even if both Salforis and doom might share the same theme, i doubt they will be play in the same way.

DotA does not have cartoony graphics. It's the same style as HoN (dark, somewhat-realistic). The only difference is the game is 10 years old and the graphics cannot compare. They style is not cartoony though.
@AMGrevolution it depends, if you like playing melee carries and to micro then go for Gemini, if you like to initiate or to do burst damage go for Salforis

@harshsmi yeah DB's ultimate totally negates health regeneration and totally gives him a soul after killing a hero with it.
But i guess every single target DoT is a "steal" of DB's ultimate?

He certainly doesn't. The only thing his passive does is mitigate HP regen, he doesn't do disgustingly high damage to a hero just by walking next to it.

@maccajoe it really isnt played by "pros more". All the dota pros went to hon and they're also playing in dota 2.
it's because the people "in charge" of Lol and Hon Steve Feak(Pendragon) and the guy in charge of HoN (that one before ice frog) were the heads of dota when it started, so although they did not ahve the copyright they ahd the right to use what was theirs from the start also Geomancer is a word that can be found on the dictionary how would it be copyrightable??

guessing from his characteristics and spells that he is a legion hero? i mean he seems very fitting for the legion

The question is why they add a new hero in HoN and then give him an aura named "Presence of the Dark Lord" which is the exact same name of the - armor aura that Shadow Fiend has...

@Slayer3264 First thing its mot mordekaisers ult cuz after he dies he doesnt make an illusion that fights for his side other thing if this ulti is a copy of MK then MKs ult is a copy of Lucifer from DOTA

@redownse Well if you take a look at the Cthulhuphant spotlight around 1:14, and then compare it to this spotlight at 3:34. You can clearly see that both healthbars (it seems that enemies's healthbar now show in red, or maybe i haven't taken notice before) and the trees (which at much more brighter and varied in colour and texture).
i read bout a blog that Lord Salforis is actually the forgotten brother of Jeraziah and Ophelia Grimm...
@Slayer3264 Usually heroes that do no scale help their team with items that boost allies or disable/annoy enemies, also, as the spotlight said, the damage is high on a single target, you somehow need to go back to your teammates or the creep wave to mitigate all that damage
@maccajoe that happened incredibly recently, when these games have been out for over 2 years....
@Sawer89 So you say that hero devolopers should just quit doing their jobs and wait for the hero designers to "balance" some heroes you think are op/bad? Have to say the opposite, think they're making a great work with the balancing, even with the new heroes. Each hero got their pros/cons, and some might take more skill to handle, for example Pandamonium.

@bengtHonVideos yea, that's why I called it improved version of Necrolyte's Heartstopper Aura. Haha.. anyway, the effect is different :P. It inflicts more damage if there are only single unit around, which is way better than Heartstopper Aura :D. Also the his ulti is more like Ancient Apparation's single unit Ice Blast, not Doom Bringer's Doom.. Anyway, can't wait to try the hero for myself when it's released!

@Xeudonym I play LoL exclusively now after playing HoN through beta and having several thousand posts on the HoN forums, the HoN heroes are MUCH more unique. If you are picking LoL over HoN for fun (as i do) it is because its easier and playing with friends doesnt make you want to murder them when they fail.

It says when the ult kills someone it gives him bonus movement. It does not. Only attack speed and attack dmg.

@marnusk1 i would recommend starting with old-classic dota if u havent played these kind of games before. The heroes there, while not as good graphic as in hon, are still awesome (some even better than those in hon, and vice versa)
@amsd1231 in archaic latin it was, in ecclesiastical latin it was not. Usually today we stick to ecclesiastical latin (at least when I was younger and did study latin, maybe things have changed in the last 10 years) when it comes to pronunciation, but indeed both ways are right.

@maccajoe a "season" tourney. LoL's seasons last for over a year. Season 1 lasted absolutely ages. Dota 2 had one tournament which was 1 million dollars. 5 million dollars spread out over 6+ events over the course of a year is not more lol...

They seem OP cause you are used to spells scale well till lategame. In HoN spells are not scaling which means they are very baaad late.
What is that new hero at 0:11 or is it an alt avatar? It's when Lord Salforis stands at the tower and someone is shooting with a bow from downhill.
