A lot of people have been underestimating SB. Yet they don't know how he can be a killing machine when used properly. Superb counter for melee opponents like NH because u tend to be getting free hit outside of the smoke when skill 3.

Then I realized I needed a key so instead of finding one I got LoL....couple months ago I got my Dota 2 key and recently I watched all of the spotlights to catch up. You're totally right it's so deep!! I need to put years of gameplay into it like you next ;)
the only thing that bothers me in hon is that sometimes some hero skills can be quite redundant and are somewhat similar to other hero's skills. like maliken's sword throw which has a similar toss and teleport effect with bubble's first skill or rally's first skill which is quite similar to grinex's second skill leap, or even rally's ulti which takes similar form to solstice's ulti that channel and damage in a cone. aside from that hon is a pretty decent game.
@dollsage MoA and Gemini don't really have different roles than the ones given. which is to carry/dps shadowblade on the otherhand can actually change attributes and do a role he has to fit aka Tank/Melee Dps/Support so how is that related to MoA's double skillset and Gemini's wolf split?
@Filo011 -the jump looks like any range blink ability. He can still be stunned and killed. Nothing special with it. -The AoE slow will not be op in ganks and teamfights. There are many heroes with better slow / cc and the dmg reduction may save his life once per game. It will not save his life when he gets ganked by stunners. I'd prefer a passive defensive ability. -He wont build intel anyway so third will not generate much dmg. The vision however will help him a few times each game. -ulti bad

This is a very original hero, he doesnt seem that op but he can become a hard carry or a hard tank, really freaking hard to kill if he gets a good farming and early game
there is a good reason ranged str heroes got removed in dota, esp ones that can fulfill the carry role (other then huskar hes still there for some reason)
@LUESoldat Shadowblade was originally called Lothars, how do you know HoN copied Dota2? Shadowblade sounds like a perfectly fine hero name, it doesn't relate to lothar's in anyway.
@tehmummra oh really? did you see how many people commented "OP" on Lord Salforis spotlight? he's not totally OP as hell. his base armor is to low and even he's STR is not that Buffed. You Better Play the Hero first before commenting. the problem with you guys is you judge the Hero by looking through he's Power, not he's weakness.. btw, i have all EA heroe's except Monarch and i find those heroe's not that Over Powered, they still have their weaknesses.
@HerrBismarck The reason why HoN is not as popular is because LoL was designed for casuals. Everyone knows that for every hardcore player there is thousands upon thousands of casual players. Most people don't want to go through the trouble of learning the whole game. We as a society were built on the principle of instant gratification and LoL pleases that well. Also many HoN players who have played the beta have come back saying the game feels like HoN under water.
ye bt if u want build him as a ranged magic dealer, he actually deal most damage in range form. its like fcking 500 magic damage per strike if u get a Harkon
Am I the only one to notice the new creep models (and the ballistae)? Could this be the long awaited HoN 3.0 with revamped spectating and coaching? And imho ever nicer the new Mid-only map? If so this friday is gonna Rock! Can't really comment on Shadowblade's skills, they seem nice but until I get my hands on him it all seems moot to comment. (I thought Rhapsody looked boring in the spotlight, but is surprisingly versatile and fun to play).
@minizehow All new heroes are S2 heroes, with the exception of possible DREAM heroes. (or heroes made through some other contest or w/e)...every 2 weeks...
@bunnygopoke Your comment is a bit amusing. How can a hero that can actively play tank/carry/ganker/nuker and switch primary attributes at will depending on the needs of a team, be boring? Could it just be that you don't know how to use the hero? Remember, it's not always the hero that's problematic but the player.

Try pyromancer if you like ranged heroes but chose ra if you like melee heroes better. Also just try to build the items the hero guide tells you to build.
@TheOverlordPlayer Coming from Dota and going to HoN, and being level 29 in LoL enables me to say that. LoL is slow, yes it has some awesome things but for quick skill oriented games you resort back to HoN.

The music, they put into these spotlights FAR extends League of Legends. I love this music, so epic
Probably one of the most under rated heroes. I don't think people realize how incredibly powerful he can become late game.
