I thoroughly enjoy your videos! I'm not able to get out and travel much, so i have to vicariously live through people like yourselves, and your style of videos I love. You don't just visit places, you explore and explain the terrain and wildlife/flora in such amazing detail. Keep up the good work! You guys deserve a tv show.

They must explain in the video titles, they're for NON hikers and uneducated people.
They should also warn us the videos are full of lies and insults.

I've come to the conclusion that Andrew is the 'Bear Grylls" of the group. I mean, he'll pretty much eat anything that's not toxic. haha related Andrew quote from this video: "I'll eat your tail!" Awesome production per usual, guys! Love all the nightsky timelapses. That last one with Orion, in particular. Great stuff!

I know, they act like the union wasn't completely horrible to blacks as well. Can't blame them on their ignorance though seeing as history blames ALL slavery in the world on the American south. Like the south had anything to do with the actual slave trade besides buying maybe 10% of what was being shipped all over central America, South America, and the Caribbean islands. They also act as if everyone living in the south during slavery times actually owned slaves.

The south looks so lush green. I always wanted to visit New Orleans because of the food culture, but now I think Texas looks more naturally alluring. This trip is great to show the broad range of this wonderful country. People can spend their whole lives in the United States and see only just a small portion of it. If only everyone could broaden their horizons they could see how small their own lives are; what truly matters in the grand scale of the world.

I am proud to say my great grandfather, passed down to grandfather owned a large cotton farm in East Texas and did not have one slave. My family did not believe in one human owning another, no matter the race or color. All family worked along with hired men and women. Families were large back then along with lots of cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. My father was the oldest son in a family of 12. The farm was 6 or 7 miles from town in a community called Red branch Texas because of the huge red ravines or gullys as we called them. The soil was perfect for growing cotton, watermelon, peas, and many other things. It was sandy in most places yet the red dirt gullies were throughout the property as well. Along with all family working on the farm, everyone who lived in the little community that didn't own a large property usually worked as hired help for my grandfather. My father said he picked cotton from sun up till sun down then did his share of other chores everyday. The 14 of them were blessed and never went without. Always had what they needed and were self sufficient in every way. Sharing with others was a way of life for them as they did so often. Grandfather had a smokehouse for hanging and curing meats, which was off limits to us. I still remember the smell always made me hungry just walking by it. They kept two milk cows stalled behind the house and Grandmother churned her own butter and made the best cream until she got too old. Then one day my uncle sold them, i think she cried. As a kid if you were caught in the house doing nothing she'd have you churning that butter, by hand. I got caught a few times, really didn't mind except i never did it to suit her. I'm 62 now and feel privileged i got to be part of the world my father grew up in till my teens. Grandparents in their 90s died of old age. The house by the road with the China berry trees and one persimmon, grandfather built himself. He made every shingle that went on that house by hand. No way would you think 12 children were raised in that house. Just a small frame with 2 medium, one small bedrooms, a very small bathroom, medium living area with fireplace, no separate dining, only the kitchen with large table in the middle. Back porch off kitchen built of stone was length of house. On one end was a small wash room with sink, no toilet. Years later my uncle added one. Before my time they talked about it being such a long span between one town to next so my grandfather drilled a water well out front beside the road. Was the only source of water for miles and the only road leading anywhere. He was always generous with whatever he had. Shared many a meal with strangers and friends alike. People traveling by horse and wagon would stop and water their live stock before finishing up the next 7 miles into town. My father said they would usually leave fruits and vegetables out by the well also for anyone who might need them. They always had plenty to share and share they did. "The Austin Smith family". (More then enough.)

I took a trip down the East coast to Virginia Beach then shot over to the West on I-40. I hit up the Petrified Forest National Park, Grand Canyon, and Meteor Crater on the way. Stopped in Vegas for a bit and then headed West into CA. On the trip back I took I-80 all the way from Utah back to the East coast. I couldn't hit up many places on the way back as I had a job interview in NY 3 days later. I drove from Nevada to NY in 52 hours!
I'm looking forward to more great trips from you guys. I just got back last night from the White Mountains in NH. It was a 3 day trip through the Pemigewasset Wilderness to bag a couple more peaks and just decompress from life. If you are looking for a great challenge, I highly recommend the area.

Fun fact. the cone under the bird box is there to keep the snakes out. Sometimes due to weather and other conditions, the cone falls which is how the snake gets in. They're used a lot to protect some species of birds.
    Great content. I can't stop binge-watching.

    State Parkers youtube channel:
    th-cam.com/users/spiffjackson
You have a nice channel; HOWEVER, I think it’s tacky that you only put the State Parkers name in credits (that most people probably don’t watch) instead of also including a link to their youtube channel in your description.
So, I’m taking the liberty of adding it here.
You obviously put a lot of effort into your channel, and the nice thing to do would have been to direct people to their channel. They were certainly gracious hosts to y’all.

Hey Stephanie, thanks for posting the link to their channel! We use a default template for our description and it totally slipped our mind to add their channel there. They totally deserve the recognition for having some awesome vids and being awesome hosts/people!
