    Favourite automotive TH-cam channel. Every video is quality. Idk what but something about the way you present yourself and how you showcase things, makes the video really engaging. The POV also helps a lot too.

    So long as the tires last, yes, no downside.

    Looks very good mate, I've even had brand new cars which have needed a proper alignment. If you're in tune with your car then you will notice the slightest wheel alignment issues
    I drive a 22 M135i and took it to a specialist and the difference was beyond night and day.. steering angle really bugs me.. glad it's sorted mate...
    Over the next couple of weeks the suspension will settle further and you'll notice improvements even more so. Let me know

    Makes sense for a FWD to favour toe out on the fronts. If you want some more stability on the straight go for a tiny bit of toe in on the backs and don't be too afraid to do up to 2° of negative camber. Be mindful it'll make tires wear a little bit faster. Oh yeah, be mindful if you go a bit too much toe in on the rear coupled with toe out on the front can make the car a bit oversteery.
    Also, on mods, I always tell people that there are 5 mods one should doto their car, regardless of the car:
    1. Better tires
    2. Shoft shift kit
    3. Correctly sized steering wheel for them
    4. Limited slip differential
    5. Develop a proper alignment for the car.

    @deviceohohtwosixdelta ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Did he toe out for the rear too ?

  • @davidhocevar8510
    @davidhocevar8510 ปีที่แล้ว

    Toe OUT is for steer response, toe IN i for straight line stability, worse possible thing is zero front toe, then wheels are fighting and car is all over the place. You made mistake, those 3 bolts inside bonnet where top of the strut is mounted are slotted, and if you loose them and push strut towers inside you can get free negative camber. I got -1.3 camber in front in my Megane 4 RS, combine that with toe OUT, and rear is set to -1.5 degree.
    i find that settings perfect for daily with occasional spirited driving blast. Tire wear is even.

  • @Kev5F
    @Kev5F ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Won't the toe out alignment fuck up the 4control ?

    • @MickDrivesCars
      @MickDrivesCars  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      not at all - the front wheels still do the steering and having them steer slightly quicker doesn't affect anything
      I'm tempted to do the opposite on the rears so the rear wheel can turn harder too... not sure if that's something anyone's done before

  • @Trophy_R
    @Trophy_R ปีที่แล้ว +1

    So you’ve gone from a blunt knife to a butchers knife in terms of steering sharpness, what toe in mm out has he set it too, my TrophyR has 1.7mm toe out and that’s gone from a butchers knife to a surgeons scalpel.

    • @MickDrivesCars
      @MickDrivesCars  ปีที่แล้ว

      I was told in terms of degrees and minutes
      0 degrees, 10 minutes

    • @MickDrivesCars
      @MickDrivesCars  ปีที่แล้ว

      He did say it was on the very edge of the "green" according to factory
      I did a converter and some maths and
      0 degrees 10 mins/wheel = 0.32 degrees total toe out = 1.2mm toe out

    • @Trophy_R
      @Trophy_R ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MickDrivesCars So 0.6mm toe out each side then, mine is 1.7mm out each side 😂

      @MickDrivesCars  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh god, I thought you meant 1.7 total 😂😂
      It is my daily though so I didn't want to go super crazy and have to replace the front tires every 4000 miles
