A video of myself playing "Svetit Mesyats" on the balalaika. In this video I'm using a balalaika strung with a metal E string, a nylon E string and a metal A string
Glad you liked it! Out of interest are you still running balalaika lessons? I am taking a gap year from university and I am interested in learning the balalaika through lessons this year
Can you do me a huge favor can you measure the distance from the Nut to the bridge of your Belalaika from all i can source on the internet the distance is 17 inches but yours in the video looks longer than that .. i build cigar box guitars and now i want to build a Belalaika . i will make it as close as i can to the tradictional ones. i am also trying to find out the guage of the strings what i have found on the net is .008 .008 and .010 but not sure if that is really correct ? thanks so much if you help me with this
The distance from the nut to the bridge on this instrument is about 44.2cm. I would recommend two 0.040 gauge nylon E strings (or guitar G strings) and a steel 0.0115 metal string
Спасибо, здорово сыграно! 👍👍👍👌Виртуозная работа! 👏👏👏👏👏
Beautiful song!
