The video literally states that the mother agrees with the hospital that her daughter is too sick to be moved at this time.
She would like to move the baby as soon as it is safe to do so, as she does not have the confidence in the current hospital that would make her feel safe, and it is okay to seek a second opinion or to wish for a different hospital and plan of care.

Thank you for taking interest in this story. Carter deserves great care, AND her mother by her side as much as possible. The insanity of banning a parent is nothing but intimidation and over reach, HOW DARE YOU??? I’m assuming mom had heightened emotions (who wouldn’t?!?!?!?!?!) after having two babies in the NICU born extremely prematurely AND dealing with recovery from cesarean delivery, and all the hormonal changes. I pray she gets a lawyer and demands an investigation not only into the administration of this hospital, but the SLEEPING NICU staff as well. Critically ill children being monitored by people SLEEPING?! Outrageous, that’s where the ban should start! I’m so disturbed by this story, I am praying for sweet Carter and her family.

I had a similar experience. I did not believe the hospital was taking the necessary precautions for her recently diagnosed condition. I did research and found another children’s hospital that had the expertise. I requested that she be discharged but the hospital disagreed and a doctor started yelling AMA, AMA but I would not budge. My daughter is now an adult with two children. And the racism? I kept a binder of her healthcare history and the staff always assumed I was a social worker. 🙄Moms know. This mom rocks!!

Now the part of the story still to be covered-how long will they hold this vulnerable infant inpatient while they work hard to maximum bill insurance? It’s something that happens tens of thousands of times each day across the US. They deliberately make it even more painful if a family member (or patient) dares to advocate for themselves (in other words, they engage in reprisal). My gut says the baby will be held as an inpatient until they have no choice but to discharge due to external pressure and blowback🤦🏾‍♀️🙄

The newscasters here, and the parents, are NOT the medical experts. This baby is clearly too sick to be moved at this time, and the hospital has an obligation to the baby as the patient. The lack of comment from the hospital means you do not have both sides of the story, so the editorializing here implying that the hospital is doing the wrong thing is completely uncalled for.

That’s just horrible. What she can do is , she can call an advocate at that specialized hospital, to see if they will transfer her daughter via ambulance from this hospital to theirs. They can also check with medical insurance to see if this is covered, if not to see what the out of pocket cost is. It’s been done many times between hospitals. I would also have the mom have every single med written down, treatments etc , so if they were approved to go forward, some hospitals like this could inform the Paramedics wrong information (unfortunately it has been done) so that way her daughter us safe. My son wasn’t gonna get the care he needed a couple years ago from an unknown condition at the time so I requested him to be transported to a university hospital that has the top children’s Neurology department. I had to fight it but stood my ground and made sure he got the transfer. Glad he did, soon as he got into the ER he went down hill and was seizing uncontrollably. Grateful we got it under control and he’s doing great today.

I would like to know if they even did the study asking white people because I'm a registered. Nurse been in the profession for almost 30 years and I work with a bunch of heathens. People that should not be care givers. In the health care field, they're only there for the money. They do sleep on the job. They do talk b******* They do run their mouths. They do make a lot of mistakes and their superiors have them covered up. There's a lot of 4 Jing going on in hospitals. This is absurd. I'm shocked that other parents haven't gone into these places with their second amendment right? When they get threatened to not see their children, this is absurd. A hospital should not have the right to kidnap a human being, but they do well. They don't, but they think they do. But the court system, you can't see a judge to. Day so yeah, it's a messed up system, but welcome to America. God is the only one that gives freedom our creator and heaven. My father, I hope he is yours. Most of us he is not if he was. We would have a better society now. Wouldn't we gross again? This is gross. And I'm so sick of the news. Putting out dividing newscasts about a black study again. What about white people? You don't think we get treated that way we do? I'm also a patient or I was.

"Disruptive" for complaining about your child's care?
Black women who speak up are routinely labeled "disruptive" instead of being listened to.
You need to look up "racial disparities in health care", as a nurse I witnessed it first-hand.

DO NOT make this an issue of race 🙄 White, Latino, Oriental children are getting mistreated too. 🤨
If you make it a racial issue it'll end up getting brushed aside. Black people are no longer a minority.
This is an issue that crosses all lines except income. Poor kids come in all colors but it is dependent upon the parents to make sure they're cared for properly.
Leave the race out of it. Please. Our children are more important than the color of their skin. ♥️✌️

First of all, if I have an infant in the hospital, I wouldn't be at home in my bed. I would be sleeping in the room with my infant. I wouldn't be relying solely on the care of the hospital staff. Even I have to leave and go to work directly from the hospital.
My child isn't the only patient, and they aren't baby sitters.
The same as schools. You can't stay at the school, but you can be actively involved in your children's education.
I was a black single career mom when my children were attending grade, middle, and high school. The teachers, administrators, and superintendents knew my name. And would respond when I reached out to them.
As a single mom, I raised a US Marine, who died in active duty, and a future physician who is currently working on her masters degree at 25.
Be present in the moment with your children. It matters.🌹

These special newborn doctors and nurses don't have time to deal with moms who are all up in their faces, getting loud and sassy thinking they are not doing what the should for her child. They would never ban a parent unless they had a very good reason to. Also, she didn't feel that she was treated right? I know how she wanted to be treated. Family members like this mother make it difficult for medical teams to care for their loved ones. It’s the arrogance and feeling entitled, bossing the providers around, acting obnoxious, and acting like they are the nurses/doctors.
Stay out of the way and let the medical team take care of the patients!!! They are experts and trained to do so. I can guarantee you there’s a good reason this woman and her family were banned from being at the hospital. And it’s usually this group of people. If you know what I mean.
If she knows what needs to be done, she should simply go to college and get a medical degree, and then treat her loved ones at home.
Doctors, Nurses, and CNAs are doing the best they can. They are not anybody’s servants or puppets, and should not be treated as such.
This whole entitlement and victim mentality has got to stop!

Why are you pointing the finger of disdain at the victim of this ongoing healthcare ‘victimization’ when said behavior is brought to light? Are you a perpetrator, a perpetuator, or a beneficiary of such bias, bigotry, and racism? So, if you don’t know what it’s like to be a “person of that group” . . .perhaps you should ask your family, ask your friends, ask a neighbor, . . .oh, wait, you probably don’t know anyone of “that group”. . .you just assume the role of making definitive judgments about people you know nothing about.
