Man johnny you must be a mind reader. I've been doing research and racking my brain thinking of opening some type of on line shop if for nothing else just so my hobby could pay for it's self . still uncertain and confused but your video did help me a lot! Man it would be so awesome to be able to sit down with you and just talk and carve ( just so you know you are one of my favorites on TH-cam) . your carving friend from Kentucky
Great info and so true. U have to post and sell yourself the agrithems are not good anyomre to have to pay for advterzing etc U have to promote yourself to gert the sales
Appreciate the information Johnny! Great Video. What of tips would you give someone who has never sold a thing on etsy? You mention people would be hesitant for a shop with 0 sales ?
My first Etsy sale was a tiny little "frightened Ghoul" I posted him to social media as if he was an orphan ghoul looking for a good home. I wrote a cute little paragraph about his likes and dislikes. He sold 30 minutes later. Go the extra mile is the only advice i can offer. That first sale was a $20 carving on sale for 30% off. I didn't make much money, the goal at that point was to make a sale. Then to keep making sales. 1 sale turns into 2. Turn two into 5, then work on getting to 10.
Thank you for the shout out Johnny. Great content as always!
Thanks for the advice brother, it's much appreciated. Hopefully it goes on to help more folks as well! =)
