    Paczki!! Raspberry are my favorite 😋 We say it more like poonchki though, probably Americanized 😆

      Raspberry packzi is delicious. I had an apple one in Krakow too that was fantastic!

    The obwarzanek dough is first steamed, then baked. The bagels also come from Krakow. Krakow's Jews had been baking them since the 17th century. It was occasional bred. The bagels were given to a woman after a successful childbirth. Bagels were brought by immigrants to the USA at the end of the 19th century. The oldest dumplings come from China. Saint Jacek Odrowąż brought pierogi to Poland in the 12th century. He saw the recipe for dumplings in Ruthenia from the Tarars. Hence the traditional name Ruthenian pierogi (pierogi ruskie). Before the dumpling meal, the following prayer was said: "St. Jacek with dumplings, pray to God for us that these dumplings will be on the table all year round and protect us from hunger ”.
