That's fantastic. Is there a valley in Knockanure? I drive past the memorial twice a day to and from work and can't figure out where the valley is. It might be poetic license, or it might refer to civil parishes that existed in the past.
Thank you for your nice comment. From what I can gather there is no valley but don't quote me on that. Gortaglanna where it happened seems to be an area of Knockanure. I have in-laws living in Ballylongford which is not too far away from there and because of that I am familiar with a lot of kerry but I have not been to see the monument yet, I feel I must someday.
excellent!
Thank you so much for your kind comment, so glad you liked it.

A wonderfully well done rendition!
Thank you so much, always nice to get comments like that, P.
How have I not found this before now? Fantastic!

You have a great resonant voice there Padraig. Nice rendition of this fine tune.
Thank you so much, that was a few years ago, maybe it's time to give it another go.
Very good

Ur voice reminds me of Tommy Makem's.
Thank you very much, Tommy did have a very distinctive voice, I was a big fan of Makem and Clancy. You don't see their likes much today...P.
