I've worked with one of the world's most famous magicians and while non-disclosure agreements prohibit details, I can tell you that while the actual mechanics behind magic tricks are deceptively simple, it's the years of practice and showmanship that make it magical.

It wasnt real beer in those glasses, they're just plastic props notice how the top of the beer never moves.
My guess is he had some plastic seal that kept it closed and he pulled it off before he showed it

Its not about the magic or revealing their tricks .. its how skillfull and amazing they performed those moves.They are indeed worthy for this talent show
Okay but the real trick is him actually not spilling much beer despite moving so much.
Actually it's even more boring then that. The majority of the beer glasses are double walled, with a small amount of beer in between the walls so that from any angle but top down it looks full but you could hold it upside down and no beer would come out. It's only the last glass which he drinks from that's a normal glass.

@@SeithonJetter it is not neccessary for the beer glasses to be double walled, it also could be that they simply are covered to prevent spilling.
@@SeithonJetter You can easily spot double wall glasses if it was filled with colored liquid. I don't see any signs of that, so it's not double walled. I think the beer foam is actually hiding a soft seal. Look at how the foam waves. It does not stick to the glass, showing it's a fake foam and it's sealed.

Beer glasses trick, they can not split. Those bottles probably have invisible cover to pretend that. I don’t think he would risk it. Also he only drinks the one which he filled so.

The beer trick is very difficult, because he was needing not to turn over any glasses during the show, very difficult and dangerous

That beer has glass tops on them, I am sure
The matter of a glass of beer that doesn't spill is very simple. All beer glasses shown are special glasses with the top covered by a clear glass panel that cannot be opened. Note that at no point did the actors put their fingers inside the glass to pick up the glass, although it might have been easier to pick up with some of their fingers inside the glass.
The last glass that must be filled with beer is a normal glass. And the beer that is added is not beer because there is no foam at all.
So u telling me terry crews know saw all these and still acted like it was awesome

They wouldn’t allow people to just come on stage and start hugging and touching the judges like quite a lot do had they not vetted the contestants.
It’s likely they do a dry run of each of the contestants or the judges have a script they follow and just judge based off technique

The second trick is what I call a "too perfect" trick. There's no way to do it other than to force a page number, so obviously that's how it was done
Late posting for sure but in the event the judge doesn't take the forced number, how would things go????
I mean the reveal of the word was the point that made me roll my eyes, like if the performer already knew the page why wouldnt he already know the word, not like they chose a word from that page. Just pointless padding to make the trick look bigger.
Even knowing how it's done must take so much practice to pull it off flawlessly in front of an audience of that caliber so kudos to both of the them!

Book trick was new to me. Never seen it before. The beer trick is pretty common but very very very hard to execute right. So props to him for doing it so well. As you said ... lots of practice went into it.
Still you can't take it away from them for putting up a brilliant show
When you now tricks and how they're performed, you move away from bewilderment to amazement at how skilled these professionals are.
The beer trick is certainly the most impressive one. Handling filled glasses like that is no small feat -- although I think he could cover up most of them with plastic foil.

Simon Chang he did the drinks to the judges though. So wouldn’t they have seen him remove the foil.

These videos are only how the tricks might have been done based on mainly assumption there are Normally more than one way of doing a trick but people watch these videos and it can ruin magic for them because they think they know how it is done even if a different method is used because people will assume that's how it is always done so you may have worked on a trick for years but these videos don't always reveal it but knowing or assuming the secret shouldn't make people dislike magic as the performance is just as important as the trick

That beer trick is super impressive. The precision to not reveal him swapping in the beer glasses into his jacket. Not revealing the hiding places on his jacket or any sign of a bulge. The book trick feels like it would take less practice to nail it. The whole setup feels more impressive with having a page in a bottle and the page ripped out.

Even though you're revealing how these are done, it is still amazing that some of these can be pulled off without too much complications.
However, when it comes to magic tricks, I don't judge by the trick itself, but by how entertaining I believe the performer is during the act.
If the trick were to fall apart, could the magician remain entertaining, and act as if what is happening was all part of the plan (as if it was a comedy sketch)?

you put a small piece inside the bottle, try metal ball, or ceramic, or screw... then you shake it hard once so the thing inside will speed up to the bottom and breaks it of - don´t believe it? Give it a try! ;-)
BTW he rolled the side of the book up so you cannot see it in the bottle and further more it was no coinsidence that the glass was not transparent ;-)
