(HD) ALP-45DPs on the Atlantic City Line

During late May, early June of 2021 two ALP-45DPs were sent down to the Atlantic City Line to fill in for the lack of available GP40PH-2Bs. These units were NJT ALP-45DP #s 4500, and 4531. This marked the second time in history that ALP-45DPs were assigned to the Atlantic City Line for 3 month term revenue service.

Theirs quite a few ALPs that sound like 4500 unrestricted, a large portion of the older RL don't sound half bad either. It's the newer castings post 2014 that sound like garbage
