I don't think Tarkin was there to actually test. He was there find a reason for the Empire to stop using clones, but unfortunately and to his amazement he not only found no reason, he also saw that clones truly were far superior to a traditional army. That's why his face changes from impressed to troubled. Palpatine doesn't want the clones anymore and it's going to be hard to find a reason to get rid of something that's so effective.

I agree that clone troopers trained all their life to be soldiers would be overkill for peacekeeping and enforcement. However clones could have still been produced in smaller quantities as elite task forces meant for dangerous and high profile missions. Maybe make more like the Bad Batch, genetically enhanced super soldiers.

the problem with that is cost. the kaminoans already were raising prices on new clones so smaller units would have been more expensive. far to much for what they are worth. also there's still the problem of kaminoans having control of cloning tech. better to have the tech themselves. then maybe this might work. but i would have the imperial red guard any day over any clone.

What Tarkin said isn't true from a legal point of view, nor is it consistent with what the Empire was claiming. They did say they were the continuation of the Republic- which is why the Senate survived as well. We do have legal examples of countries using the same argument however to not pay debts or reparations. So in the end, it comes down to politics and power. Clearly, Kamino was not in a position to negotiate anything. They should have known that not only will they be not contracted, they will be eradicated, as were all sources of power, such as the jedi or the CIS. They were naive.

To see if they are the best. If they die from it it's no loss to him because they didn't perform to his expectations. We the audience are rooting for the Bad Batch because they're the heroes and we've seen their heroics (well, for a little bit anyway). Tarkin on the other hand is thinking of the grand strategy, and only deigns to visit the cloning facility to tie up lose ends and to be sure he isn't overlooking a potentially more valuable option.
Plus he's going into it seeing them as "just clones" and assumes the Kaminoans can just create more if he is sufficiently impressed.
Being able to recruit from any world is an advantage over getting clones from one place, especially when it turned out that they were unique clones and not readily replicated.

@@preciousotoakhia9789 They basically are after order 66. They're still well trained but they lost all their inventiveness and originality which made them much weaker. You could also theoretically hack their chips and make them do whatever you'd like.

@@tadious9415 You cannot hack their chips or deactivate them as if they were droids. I suppose the Kaminoans engeneers could change whatever info the chip has and implant it for newer clones.

Hate is just a part of it but I think mostly he was trying to nullify the contact so that the Empire does not need to pay the debt. Since he was trying to argue about the contact being between the Republic and Kaminoan so Empire should not have to assume its debt. After that he protest and said that the Clones are not up to standard and needed to be re-test, hence why Bad Batch were put into such an extreme practice with life-round. Sadly for Tarkin, the Batch prevail and he has to resort to other method which led to the Clone uprising if I remember correctly.

En dinero pero nala se pensaba en su proyecto de crear más jangos fett con las mismas habilidades o como mínimo con habilidades especiales superiores al clon promedio
