ARAGORN VS THE ARENA | 1 VS 100 | MESBG MINI-GAME | BATTLE REPORT | WARHAMMER

- Aragorn takes on the Two Trees Gaming Arena where 200 points of heroes battle against 100 wounds worth of enemy models.
Enemies come on in waves (generally three at a time) and the heroes must get as many kills as possible to advance up the Two Trees Gaming Leader Board.
Patreons can make their own submissions using the following rules:
- 200 points max.
- No red allies
- No mounts
- No models that can fly
If you're not a Petreon, feel free to make some suggestions of what they should submit in the comments.

Thranduil on foot fully kitted out could be epic with his terror, once per game natures wrath, and bladelord for 7ish attacks a turn when surrounded 🥳
I couldn't agree more! But would it be better than Legolas and Tauriel from the legion with a bunch of attacks each?!
@@twotreesgaming hmm itd be interesting to see the difference. Feel like terror would be huge against all those low courage models and could even out the playing field/keep Thranduil safe much longer. Plus skipping Legolas for awhile as youve just done him makes it more interesting maybe. Either way itd be cool to see some elves with those extra attacks!
Very true! I can confirm up next isn't an elf but it does cause terror..!
Don't think you'd want his circlet as it's to your advantage to be surrounded when it's increasing the number of attacks. Spare points could go towards a Dwarf hero which I think would likely prove more valuable.
Bolg would be interesting with the The Bringer of Death. After 10 kills, mighty hero with higher Defense, S5 with +1 to wound, and it causes terror!
The Arena is kind of built for his special rule with them coming on in waves starting easy, I will say he's not one of our picks but hopefully there are Patreons looking..!

I would suggest Elladan and Elrohir, with Bows, Cloaks and Armour it should be close to 200 😊
Two Elven heroes with F6 and the option for three attacks and even a high courage against the spectres and Warriors of the dead.

Yeah Boromir, Merry and Pippin would be really cool (maybe the Captain of the White Tower version to make up the points?). Or Boromir and Faramir for an Osgiliath vibe.
I think Helm Hammerhand from the Helm's guard LL could perform similar to Aragorn. Gets the free point of might and a free heroic combat thanks to the LL, then he's D7 and S5 with Burly

Gulavar's not allowed as he can fly and it breaks the game a bit - but for Treebeard, lets just say you won't be disappointed..!!
Intra-faction match ups really don't work well in the mesbg system imo. Unless you have good models facing him but then the courage issues you mention will be less of a problem.

Helm Hammerhand. Free Heroic combats and free Might per turn would be amazing. Plus being sble to two hand with Burly. I think he would get close to Aragorns number

@@twotreesgaming great minds think alike. Shame he won't get his Horse but with base strength 5, he won't need it
recommended kings champ+shieldbearer on the last video, so going evil this time, got 3 lists. Bolg and a moria goblin captain.(165 +35) gets stronger the more he kills, nuff said. kills 10 and he's better aragorn. army bonus doesnt matter here so going yellow for a sidekick is fine. second is a monster list, suped up troll chief from th black gate opens with a morannon captain shield+axe (140 and 50+5+5). brutal power attacks could really help i think. just hurling models back towards the gate etc. or the third one, going back to the numbers theme but ranged and running 4 corsair bosuns with crossbows (45+5) X4) low defence but heaps of shooting/throwing weapons to clear early rounds/get kills on priority and they all count as banners for themselves and get backstabbers. could swap a couple bosuns for dalamyr
You sir have some very interesting ideas! I've had the Troll Chief thought myself and think it could do well but the Bosuns sounds really interesting for the fun of it! 👌

Dragon Emperor is 200 on the dot now, and while he is "mounted", it isn't cav. No zooming around the map avoiding combats, picking charges, large base to get stuck. As the palanquin gets wounded he gets slower. But he gets the win against a bunch of guys and he has the chance to mow them all down, lots of heroic combat potential
Yeah I think we said we would allow the Dragon Empoerer with an asterix on his score..! Certainly be interesting to see.
@@twotreesgaming Looking at Aragorn's run through, that free might was much needed! If the dragon emp was taken as his LL and got his banner and hero re-roll that might make up the lack of free might
Yeah I think number of dice is key! And obviously the free Might helps with him only having three
I'm really surprised no one has mentioned beorn and grimbeorn with their annoying monstrous charge they could be killing 3-4 models per turn along side with their 8 defence and the 6+ fury, i think they could do really good.
I completely agree! I wonder if Beorn's having to charge might work against him but very interesting to see!

This is interested, I like the idea of pairing Oin with Thorin - if Oin can staff safe he can just keep replenishing Thorin's wounds (who can play the long game with the shield!)

Bard (with armour) and Bain together are 185, with Bard firing 3 strength 4 shots a turn if the enemies are clustered, and buffing Bain to Fight 4 with a Banner bonus. Probably won’t perform as well as Aragorn or Boromir, but a father and son team up could be pretty cool to see.
Yeah that would be cool! Love any themed pairing and if they can stay on top of it they might do ok!
The first few rounds probably should be two-handing Anduril and using the free might to bump to a 6.

No, we're sticking to evil enemies but evil models will be allowed to enter, another good one next time and then it should be mine which is an evil choice!

It'd be fun to see how many kills a Mordor troll chieftain could rack up. Hurls all over the place as well as if it got charges off seem like it'd chew through stuff but the low might/fate seem like they'd keep it on edge as the waves increased.
I wonder if it Might pair well with a wraith purely to give -1 Courage and make it harder to charge the troll..!

Yeah I'll do that in a future one, with no heroes not sure how much it actually adds up to but he definitely pulled his weight! For Azog and Bolg they'd be more than 200 points so it would have to be one then the other but they'd do well I've no doubt!

@@twotreesgaming Aragorn is an incredibly hard act to follow. One might a turn scales so amazingly for this.
52 kills is ridiculous. Not surprised though, a few better rolls at the end and he'd hit 60+ prob.

Very true! I was thinking the 100 point one paired with someone else but maybe beefy Boromir would actually be better
After a certain round you always will be trapped. And then every lost duel will result in multiple wounds. But the horn will compensate for this because you are less likely to lose a duel and therefore you need less fate.
A normal hero will lose a duel after one bad roll but Boromir will only lose after two bad roles (one for the horn and one for the duel). And even if he loses twice then he still has 6 might to save him.
Elessar would be mega with D7 and a banner re-roll for himself.
100% although he is over 200 points so couldn't do this version of The Arena...
