Thank you Tim. Excellent review of ChatGPT. You have just about made my year with this one. I am enrolled on a data science course for completion in 2023. This course includes the learning of Python, R , and the application of statistical equations. I have just asked Chat GPT to write a number of scripts in Python, R, and SQL for showing the world growth population and to include the percentage difference. I also asked it to write a script in SQL to unpivot data. It did it! Not only that, in explaining each of the steps I was able to instantly learn and to adapt the code for use with a real dataset. The experience is like having a master tutor on hand for each and every question. I can see why many people will be concerned with this technology but I think you demonstrated where it is useful and that it is not a replacement for coders and data scientists...yet. Accountability for decisions made on output is probably the biggest blocker. Also, bsinesses will still require their qualified, trained and skilled data engineers as models must be altered for specific taskings, functionality or data breakages/bugs. Worst case scenario at this point, in my opinion, is that a company may not need as many highly skilled staff as tech skills become better, quicker. This could lead to more engineers being available to smaller companies, or those currently less able to exploit data analytics. Such an outcome, were to occur, would have a positive impact on industry as a whole. I really look forward to the discussions that this is creating.
Exactly what i was looking for, I couldnt find a single other video talking about Tableau working with ChatGPT. Your content is really high quality too and you're awesome at explaining things!
Just posted a video on ChatGPT as well and can finally watch yours haha! Great job as usual. Curious to see how the issue of copyright and the impact of this type of tools on the creator economy will play out moving forward
Just learned about the copilot introduced by Microsoft 365 Copilot. I suspect that Tableau probably has something similar. What's the equivalent? Thanks!
Really excellent video! Hoping this is what many companies will see in the benefits ChatGPT provides and the hype of overtaking humans subside once they appreciate it is the next big game changer in helping humans do their jobs more effectively and effiiently!
I think AI is quite far from this. The main reason being usually business metrics aren’t as linear as more sales better performance. There so much nuance in analytics but I think it could help frame descriptive analytics and like explain data highlight where things are changing.

Excellent work Tim!!! Look forward to more content👍🏼
Tableau needs to add Timmy as the new on-site helper of the tool ;). Imagine if you add to the loop of data the TH-cam content too ;)
Of course I’d love that 😂
Yeah !! Tableau Tim and SQL belle are 2 authentic tableau users who know about every button available in tableau

Just Announced at Conference Tableau GPT. I'll make a sepearte video soon.

Bravo 👏 my friend! Well said!! 👍 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Thanks for sharing this Tim. I am thinking on idea where we can use chat gpt AI for reading chart information. Do you have any thoughts on this ?

Is there a way to generate graphs in tableau with chat gpt automaticly not the step by step isntruction of how to do it
I added a image of clipy to help users navigate my dashboards.
What a great idea! Let’s bring clippers back!
