Insane damage rotation for strand warlock would be to have 5 threadlings perched, cast melee, then rift, then super, and then with Apotheosis Veil alternate grenade and Euphony to get immediate max stacks and damage. You can even run the new exotic class item for an Apotheosis+Star-Eater combo.
5 Threadlings perched is hard to reach on Prismatic, and you'd lose Thread of Evolution's 40% increase to Threadlings too. The comparison here is between 1. Apotheosis + Star-Eater perk on the exotic class item, and running Prismatic (maybe an extra 5% damage from transcend) 2. Real Apotheosis on Stand Warlock, with more consistent ways to perch Threadlings and access to Thread of Evolution. It's hard to say what will be better without knowing how strong Bungie is willing to let class item Star-Eater be.
The fact he didn't include a Warlock strand super, something that would instantly give x10 threadlings, is criminal. Consume grenade, super, create rift, boss shield goes down, and you're likely looking at close to max stacks with Euphony. That is how this linear would be used for DPS, especially considering that the Strand super is already the best damage super for warlocks anyways. I can't wait to test this out for myself.
Homie he never does builds for damage testing. It’s always about getting the weapons base damage, if there’s a buff it’s only a well which is also used on every other weapon to keep things even.

He absolutely should've done a run with needlestorm tacked on, just to see what that does in a burst dps setting we have all the other dmg numbers from the other test for baseline comparisons.

That's a really bizarre comparison. Not only is it a special vs heavy, where heavy will almost always come out on top because it's heavy. The amount of ammo used (and the total reserves) is completely different, although it is done within the same timeframe it changes total damage and longer damage phases. This video should have been comparing special ammo DPS options.
I think the difference is that full dmg from Euphony is a Threadling-specific build. The rest are just rolls and running with a class. So, it wins if you build toward a specific thing but the rest can mostly be run on any class. Still an amazing exotic and a cool raid to get it from.

I have used sleeper as my main heavy for almost everything for years. Nothing beats having giant red rail gun + whenever I need to wipe I can shoot the floor at a 45 degree angle
i think this just proves that some linears need a slight bump in damage, specifically the single shot legendaries like cataclysm and taipan, doom petitioner or rather precision instrument just needs to be reverted back to how it functioned before final shape launched, glad to know that sleeper is still a hard hitting linear though! but yeah, most legendary linears just need that little extra bump in damage. also queen's breaker needs SOME attention, more ammo in both magazine and reserves would be nice and maybe a catty since it doesn't have one, it is technically a utility weapon since it's one of few weapons that can arc blind, BUT that doesn't excuse how bad the gun is.
I agree that I don't see Bungie giving us an additional damage perk rolling on this, but a few potential (realistic) options off the top of my head that would make sense for a three-burst linear would be Rapid Hit and Rewind Rounds. As far as unrealistic options, imagine adding either Triple Tap or Fourth Time's the Charm...that would take this to another level.

Sleeper will be a more desired pick or a legendary linear + Izi will perform much better

So your argument fails because it's not just building for DPS. It's also for add clear too with all the threadlings. Sleeper is a good pick for the average but this allows you to delve in add clear/dps at the same time and benefit both from each other. Also all of this is without the needlestorm super which is prolly our best DPS super too currently(excluding artifact mods)

They're just not considering the intended use 😭 Threadling builds are some of the best add clear in the game. Building up to the damage phase, you do threadlings to clear adds > enter the damage phase with 25 stacks already present > do insane damage.
Full stop, the triumph about the extra weapon trait is a typo or error. Every other raid has a similar triumph but it says the extra trait is for the legendary weapons.

A strong rotation in my opinion would be pairing hazardous populsion with a adaptiv burst linear cause it would use 3 shots for 6 rockets getting loaded if you have a warlock using song of flame u can spam thrusters more often, on primsmatic even more.
I mean if you're comparing Euphony with a full setup, it's be fair to give others more of that - Song of Fire actually boosts solar/kinetic weapons (so for Sleeper, Cataclysmic, Briar's and Arbalest) and potentially using Mantle of Battle Harmony, maybe? Since you are using an exotic for Euphony. On the other side, using Needlestorm spawns threadlings, so you could use that to ramp up the stacks faster, too, but would need to subtract its damage somehow
Been running this with a Perpetual, Hatchling Immortal for the extra threadlings and im comfortably running into DPS phases with around 12 stacks of its buff ready and waiting

I think that flinch on Lorenz Driver is a full auto glitch. Theres a weird glitch that happens with bows like pre astyanax and point of the stag where your sight almost completely disappears and the bow gets cocked in a weird fkin direction (lol I think you're hands dissappear too? I might be wrong about that part). You can't really see what you're shooting at. You have to release the draw/trigger and shoot/charge/draw/knock/reload it manually for it to not happen. I've only noticed it happening on bows so far when reknocking/drawing with full auto sometimes, and it's only frames like those particular two. This animation looked really similar. Looked really janky, not like flinch. Could be flinch, but the way it just stayed there until reload and then shot fine for a couple of shots and then did it again, makes me think it's the same thing I'm talking about. If you look the second test with lorenz, atheon was blasting the shit out of you for the first whole mag and you weren't getting flinched that way. Also, Euphony is a beast. The new perk chaos reshapped is too on the other weapons. I'd be interested to see what kind of damage Final Warning gets up to with the catalyst now, (I forgot it was getting a catalyst tbh). As far as primaries go, it was already really great dmg and the catalyst adds more. I'm curious as to how much. I got mine to drop in comp. If you're gold or higher you get increased chances at catalyst drop rates now.
I think wewind wounds would be enough for an extra trait. It has more than enough damage as is lol, but would help keep the damage pumping without reloading, the threadlings would probably help proc too like outbreak.
id test the compared damage of warlock, all strand buffs. rift with full perched threadlings and super. then dps with whatever weapon. so its fully stacked Euphony dps vs other linear with the same burst. Id also test with just super and grenade since not all linear bosses are viable to hit with perched threadlings.

Euphony and Conditional Finality should switch place as raid exotics. I mean, what does euphony have to do with TFS? Strand was introduced in LF along with agressive frame linears, Euphony would have fitted perfectly. I don't have to explain CF, I think you guys get the point.

What people don’t realise is that euphony isn’t meant to be viewed in a vacuum of Dps setups at all, the power of euphony is its ability to surpass certain heavy weapons, and still have the heavy slot open for something like a LMG or whatever else, it’s not meant to be a universal exotic, but an exotic that’s extremely good when built into while also allowing extreme flexibility in regards to weapon load outs
Since it's a special ammo exotic, how does it compare to other special ammo DPS exotics and they're damage rotations? ie Izzy + bait and switch heavy weapon?
Not a single lfg raider is gonna be able to get this, it’s cool the day one event was so hyped cause of only one team getting through in 24 hours but otherwise the raid will not be enjoyable at all for anyone that doesn’t have a regular and reliable team of six to run with every week. I’ve loved raiding these past two years since getting back into the game and I’m sad that that will no longer be able to be the case
2:30 Any math people to help me here. Cross did a calculation of 4/5th's of 867,875, his logic seems to be because the 25% strand bonus this week is calculated as 125% dmg, is this correct thinking? Or is the correct way to just find 3/4th's of the total damage of 867,875 to remove the 25% dmg strand bonus?

If you look the second test with lorenz, atheon was blasting the shit out of you for the first whole mag and you weren't getting flinched that way.

Since it's a special ammo exotic, how does it compare to other special ammo DPS exotics and they're damage rotations? ie Izzy + bait and switch heavy weapon?

This boss has no additional scalars that inflate damage numbers to be higher or lower than what they usually are.
It's neat that it performs well, but it's real nice how Sleeper's the best and all you gotta do is dust her off
Not a single lfg raider is gonna be able to get this, it’s cool the day one event was so hyped cause of only one team getting through in 24 hours but otherwise the raid will not be enjoyable at all for anyone that doesn’t have a regular and reliable team of six to run with every week. I’ve loved raiding these past two years since getting back into the game and I’m sad that that will no longer be able to be the case

Should’ve used Strand Super with Apotheosis Veil and the raid exotic . It would’ve done so much damage
2:30 Any math people to help me here. Cross did a calculation of 4/5th's of 867,875, his logic seems to be because the 25% strand bonus this week is calculated as 125% dmg, is this correct thinking? Or is the correct way to just find 3/4th's of the total damage of 867,875 to remove the 25% dmg strand bonus?

I think I’ve finally met my match I usually have to play a raid 20+ times to get the exotic and I lfg every raid but this raid seems to be the lfg killer
