He’s not a certified dermatologist. He can’t give those recommendations, because he doesn’t really understand what would really work for another person’s skin. All his recommendations, are based of what works for him. Dermatologists or even estheticians have a better understanding of the nature of the skin and biology. Shu Uemura is a J-Beauty company, Shu was the “creator” of the cleansing oils in the market. They exist since de 80’s and in Asia is one of the most famous brands and their cleansing oils are always best sellers!
I think the $83 is for the big one (400ml above, at least the one she is holding is big), which if you actually see that, it is in a huge can. Not that I am saying it is not expensive, but if you can, it is totally worth it.
I was born in Asia and Shu Uemura was pretty much everywhere from tv ads to magazines. I'm a bit surprised that he has not heard of it, but yeah, I used to follow a TH-camr who used their cleansing oils too.
I adore shu Uemura cleansing oil. Especially the sublime version, it has so many nourishing ingredients and it’s advertised to be use without a water base cleanser.
Yes but remember that he said for such simple ingredients, so if he does that don’t hate on him if some of his products are that expensive, as long as with that price point he makes up for it in quality
Here’s a fact about Dove Cameron’s name: Her real name is Chloe, but when her father committed suicide, when she was 15, she changed her name to Dove, because it’s what he would always call her :) Edit: just because you know that, doesn’t mean that others don’t. It’s useless to comment saying that you already knew that, I know a lot of people know it, but some people don’t. So if your going to comment please don’t say that you already knew that. Writing a rude comment when I’m just trying to give out a fact, is unnecessary and very rude. You know who you are, and I wasn’t trying to be your ‘google’ so think about what your going to say and how it’s going to affect other people before you say it, there’s no need to be rude about it.
I’m 95% sure that she changed her name to Dove after her father committed suicide. In one of her tweets she said "My father always called me Dove, He took his own life when I was 15. I didn't get to say goodbye, so I changed it in honor of him." After someone asked her why she changed her name.
@@Scarletttt___ Well unless he died and came back to life she's lying, there's a yearbook from 2010 and she is named Dove Cameron under her picture, if she wanted to honor her father she would've kept his family name as well.

Hey, when it works, it works. Almost all of my shirts are navy blue 😅 it's actually hard to find certain cuts sometimes. Less to think about, and therefore more focus for what matters. When you find something that works, stick with it and you'll have more space for new intakes. 🤟🏼🤙🏼
So hyram, you said “who names their kid dove” well not her parents, her actual name is Chloe Cameron, but her dad died when she was little, and he loved doves, so she made her stage name Dove Cameron in memory of her father
Not trying to be rude but that’s completely wrong. Her real name is Chloe Celeste Hosterman, and her dad called her dove all the time, so after he died she changed that to her legal first name.
austin bevis that’s so rude, Hyram always says you don’t hate on others skin. Even if you don’t like James Charles doesn’t mean you can say things like that.
Hahahah. Interesting to hear Hyrams comment, I had a human anatomy professor that said working facial muscles helps keep the skin tight. I’d be interested to know why Hyram says extreme facial expression ages the skin
@@brooklynharvey3278 i think it's just because when you make extreme facial expressions, your skin creases. the more your skin creases the more chance for wrinkles to "stick", especially if you don't have a good skincare routine
When Dove slaps her skin, that could be a variation of a method of tapotement, which is a massage technique often used in facials to increase bloodflow and invigorate the skin. -cosmetologist
Yes definitely could be increasing circulation to bring bloodflow to the skin which does have skin benefits! By the way, I'm a cosmetic chemist and would love it if you'd check out my Insta @labcoatcosmetics for skincare tips, ingredients, formula and product reviews.
I’m a licensed esthetician, the “wake up the skin” concept I think could literally come from a common way to end a facial with tapotement massage which is just tapping on the skin like a drum, it is to promote blood flow i believe but it’s also mainly used to literally wake up your client and signal the end of the treatment 😂
Hi! Since you’re a esthetician, would you mind letting me know what kind of sunscreen to wear? I’m in Virginia and it’s summer, so I know I should wear some, but I’ve never really thought about daily. Also toner lol
a b b i e hi : ) sorry I just saw I had a reply on this comment! I buy drug store sunscreen because it all just comes off in the water anyway (the key is remembering to reapply!) My favorite is Neutrogena Pure & Free Baby Sunscreen. That sounds weird but I promise you I have found products that are intended for children are much safer and more effective *most of the the time*. Coppertone kids once gave my dad chemical burns! I manly like to make sure a sunscreen protects against UVA and UVB rays, also anything that says it’s higher than spf 50 is a scam. always go for the lotion instead of the spray. 1 you get more product 2 you can properly work it into the skin. I’m an odd gal and read the ingredients in EVERYTHING! Always look for titanium dioxide or zinc oxide as the active ingredient. You’ll notice a lot of makeup products contain these without even advertising that the product contains spf. It’s probably not much protection but it’s helpful to know those ingredients are in your makeup bag too. Sorry this was so long but hope it helps you at the store : )
a b b i e as for a toner, I am a weirdo and make my own with rose petals it’s my great great grandmas recipe that no one in the beauty community would say is trendy or most effective but it’s what she used her whole life and she was gorgeous and it’s completely natural. I sell it on my Etsy store CAYLiNz : )

The way that you talk about the importance of sustainability and affordability on your channel is so important! I really appreciate your use of this platform to speak truth on these topics.
Its more about the long run than on the short one, sunscreen helps with aging and also it helps with uv (idk how to spell that last one sorry) I started using sunscreens just a few years ago and i defenitely see improvements!
You’re the reason why I’m not scared of salicylic acid. I was scared to use it bc I didn’t know how!! But it’s been like two weeks since using it and I’ve seen tremendous progress!!! Pores, scars, redness, texture: it’s has all improved. Thank you for being a great educator ❤️
I started using the AHA and BHA exfoliate from the ordinary (don’t use it all the time) but my face looks smoother and I have less ache My skin seems happier Hyram is the best 🖤
Can I ask what is the difference between niacinamide and salicylic acid 2%? Cause niacinamide has it as second ingredient. Sorry for dumb question im new
as a person who grew up in east asia, shu uemura cleansing oil has always been known to be a one step cleanser (no need to double cleanse), hope this might clarify for many of us used to the double cleansing method! ❤️

Can't respect such an overpriced brand. There are better products out there for a fraction of the price

Here’s a fact about Dove Cameron’s name:
Her real name is Chloe, but when her father committed suicide, when she was 15, she changed her name to Dove, because it’s what he would always call her :)
Edit: just because you know that, doesn’t mean that others don’t.
WRONG she changed it before he died.
K' Lapis no she changed it after-
I’m 95% sure that she changed her name to Dove after her father committed suicide.

So hyram, you said “who names their kid dove” well not her parents, her actual name is Chloe Cameron, but her dad died when she was little, and he loved doves, so she made her stage name Dove Cameron in memory of her father
Actually, if I'm not mistaken, I'm pretty sure her name was Chloe Hosterman, but everything else you said was true
Kristine Le ye it is Chloe hosterman I thing her middle name is Celeste or something I’m not sure
It isnt just her stage name she legally changed it
it wasnt because her dad loved doves. it was because dove was her nickname from her dad lol
Not trying to be rude but that’s completely wrong. Her real name is Chloe Celeste Hosterman, and her dad called her dove all the time, so after he died she changed that to her legal first name.

Emily Gladser sometimes you got to sacrifice your skin for other peoples entertainment 😔😔

These videos are so helpful! Speaking as a teenager I learn so much!
Lmaoooo
Hi! Since you’re a esthetician, would you mind letting me know what kind of sunscreen to wear? I’m in Virginia and it’s summer, so I know I should wear some, but I’ve never really thought about daily. Also toner lol
OMG, the last part made me laugh loudly, lol. Immediate thumb-up!
a b b i e hi : ) sorry I just saw I had a reply on this comment!
