45:08 Life is hard for us right now. My girlfriend is going thru chemotherapy and sometimes it really feels bleak. But listening to gianmarco buying front row seats at a jabbowockeez show makes me feel our situation isn’t all that bad.
Low blood sugar sucks so much worse than when it's high. It fucks up your entire day. Headaches that don't go away even once your back to normal. Exhaustion from your body literally feeling like you're actually going to die.
1:03:00 - turning off your phone after your long-term partner asks you to keep it on to check if you're safe. You're just asking for trouble at that point
Deeply validated by both the Vegas rant and the critique of sentimentalizing animals and pretending they like us no matter what we do to them!! (While I'm sure there's great bits of Vegas away from the strip, I am ideologically opposed to cities where getting to those good bits takes forever and the public infrastructure around them is totally broken. I found the useless swathes of empty space in Vegas utterly bewildering, starting from the nightmarish airport itself.)
"Did you see that South Korea video?" *curiousity peaked* "Oh my god. It's bad." *opens new tab* "That was a land. That was a smooth land.: *typing south korea plane landing* "Then it didn't stop" *stops typing* "Why have the plane decided to explode. Don't watch it" *closes tab*
i respect Sam for having such clear boundaries about what he is or isnt willing to talk about on podcasts/stage even if it means not going along with a joke.
Low blood sugar/low blood glucose, doesn’t just feel like you can die, you can die and people do die. High blood glucose can have long term health effects that can also kill you. It is so difficult to manage not just because you are trying to guess how much insulin to give because you don’t know how much your body is going to utilise to feed your cells. If you workout, your body needs more sugar to feed it. Stress will effect the way you absorb and use sugar, being sick will do so too. Hormones will change the way you absorb sugar, so if you are a woman or a young g girl then it can really be difficult to manage. Diabetes is a life-threatening condition that requires a lot of management and can be very scary.
High blood sugar is something you have a longer time to react to but low blood sugar is something you have to take care of quickly because it can turn into a severe medical issue. Which is why he has snacks to take care of low blood sugar.
I will never forgive the LA fires for cutting short Sam and Gianmarco queening out together IRL (I was extremely endeared by Sam choosing to every once in a while fuck with Gianmarco's mic)
this whole thing is the humor of like ironically petty bickering and some people don't find it funny, but to those of us with that kind of family... its so good, my dad and i are just like this on purpose for the humor
i didn't connect with the guest which is a me problem but just leaving a comment to say gianmarco did so much with so little. russell was sorely missed.
i agree with Sam right out the top....having a disease or i would add taking care of someone with a disease is exhausting, it is a FT job on top of every thing that makes regular life FT. when i was 25 i was a FT caregiver for my mom for 6 years until she died; so when i heard people complaining about nonsense like "i really want to get married", "i need to have a baby", "the job I chose is annoying me", you definitely look at someone and see how spoiled rotten they are and also just not emotionally healthy. and then ya having a disease you just see how much people are so distorted and create problems in their own life that are so irrelevant and then complain about them.
They were both funny but seemed like they maybe don’t like each other much lol? The guest kept not so subtly criticizing Gianmarco for his jokes about his family…
@@jakemullin7730 I found that odd too -- Gianmarco talks about his family, but also relationships, politics, the news, does amazing crowd work which shows he can talk about anything.

Please, please, please react to Elon's "weird hand gesture" during the inauguration. I'm not naming the gesture so YT doesn't kill this comment.
Sam told you about his anxiety around flying and you proceeded to tell him all about the Korean plane crash 😂 This is why you need Russell.
That's why this episode felt more savage. 😂

This episode kind of feels like a therapy session and it’s very endearing.
“I’m sorry, the ashes got bigger???? There’s more love in my house now??” 😂😂😂😂

fr. If i cut myself at the right time of day, I don't even bleed. It's like you're half corpse sometimes.
Isn't low the side of it that can cause coma too?? Heart goes out to you!
I love how this turned into a conversation about art with a side of therapy.
‘The Downside: The LA Chapter’.
Good luck!

Vegas is a literal nightmare
i miss russel so much

I was like "jumping straight to the intro" then quickly realized lol
Your vibes match perfectly

Yooo the glasses are a LEWK
awesome to hear the stories of musical theatre lmao
Oh my god this got deep and i love it so much
1:12:00 Sa-fecious is my new favorite word
I’m glad I’m not the only one who caught that 😂
I'm glad you're ok. I was wondering where exactly you all were at and how you and Tovah were doing. The videos coming out of there were crazy.
Vegas has an amazing Chinatown but that’s all it has 😔

Gianmmarco is the type of guy who needed to come out as straight to their parents
this whole thing is the humor of like ironically petty bickering and some people don't find it funny, but to those of us with that kind of family... its so good, my dad and i are just like this on purpose for the humor
I love Sam, your episodes together are amazing, laughed out loud at the office kitchen 😂
Therapeutic fighting, loved it.
17:03 THE HAND
Straightest hand gesture.
Saw,Gianmarco in Wichita. FREE cavity search upon entering the venue GM always giving his fans a good time lol
Ruuuusssseeeellll 😭
I have dreams frequently about a plane just falling out of the sky and just being on the ground watching it. I wake up so unsettled.
Yay it's Sam❤
I thought this was Hasan Piker at first
def not Hasan Piker. I think he'd even get offended at the comparison lol.
Lmaooo def one of his doppelgangers
Do what you gotta do. I once had to evacuate at work mid-call with a customer. The canteen on the top floor had a small fire
3:24 me juggling my celiac snacks
how long before gianmarco resorts to thirst trapping entirely, i mean gay-baiting, i mean what?
i didn't connect with the guest which is a me problem but just leaving a comment to say gianmarco did so much with so little. russell was sorely missed.
Was gonna say the same thing.
Minute 37:00 yikes. Well ok then lol. Even the world Palestine gets to people.
yep, that was disappointing

Tell Russell we miss his laugh 😢
1:09:53 Now he's getting roasted by people instead. Crazy
Made it like hour 6 mins left before i couldnt take it. This is the worse one ever. First pod in like 2 years i couldn’t stand a guest.
“Shore”
Finished!
I hate when comedians rag on Vegas because they never book venues off the strip. Locals never go to the strip and we have a great time.
now kith
Gianmarco killed ..guest was kinda rude &unfunny tho
I agree. I know the guy through friends of a friend (2 degrees of seperation) and he's not very friendly. Gianmarco is always amazing though.
I think the guest js just awkward, not rude, but this was an awkward convo 😐
They lowkey just dont seem to vibe together as personalities, idk

I've been highly anticipating the LA evacuation episode ❤️🩹 thank goodness for the pod, it's been a rough year 💀
