Senior mechanics like this, that are constantly joking and making light of things, make learning a new trade for a young guy so much more enjoyable and memorable. Gotta love work when its comical
You seem like hood shot to work with man, sense of humour and giving your time of the day to teach the young guy. That’s what it’s all about. You remind me of my journeyman welder right now, the exact same. It’s awesome, and makes it fun to work with you guys.
I want to know about that extension bar he uses on the wrenches that’s a genius idea, it’s like using a knuckle buster but you can put it on the opposite end and still have an open end
Hey man, it's a wrench extender from Mueller-Kueps. amzn.to/3ICYc9J Any unique tools we use in these episodes get linked in the description! Thanks for watching.
I have been thinking about finishing my heavy duty diesel mechanics. I work as a correctional officer right now, but I’m thinking about going back to school or getting back into the industry.
literally working in a fog, mist floating in the air, can only see 200 yards from the moisture hanging in the air and Cams out there like: “I love this weather. Not to warm not to cold, don’t have to wear crab fishing gear “ lmao. Talk about a glass half full kind of guy ✊✊ “MY TOOF MY TOOF “ dude you guys really should be wearing mouth guards 👀
Truth be told, I had a jack stand fly out the back of my service truck 😅😅 I looked in the mirror and see this poor Ford Focus run into it. The girl and the guy must of not had a license or something cuz they decided “it’s ok” and drove away 😅 until this day I haven’t told my boss 🤣
I have worked with the Eaton Fuller transmission lineup for a couple years. I’ve also worked on the Allison. Enjoy the work. I work on cars and trucks since I was very young interesting too discover how things operate and work.
There are 3 hoses, 2 directional, one for case drain. I'd have to look how 2 speed is controlled on the schematic and get back to you. I may be wrong, it happens.
@@BluTechEquipment i am sure the small line is for high speed and case drain normally at highest point, park brake is internal via main line, delay with orifice and brake is on counter balance spool
That classic raw humor of our good neighbors too the north … nothings off limits and they tolerate just about anything except for the thought of someone from the lower 48 pretending to drink Budweiser from a fake Stanley sippie cup … not cool
Works great until you blast off a -4 fitting with it haha. Often times I find air works great for blasting out dirt, and better than a pressure washer as no mud or waiting for it to dry.
Dear god it seems like it’s always raining in canaderp! 😂 love the channel guys, cams fucking hilarious too lol HD field mechanic here from North Carolina, through the the videos with cam in them I’ve noticed we have a bunch of the same ways of doing shit. Unconventional as fuck lol keep it up guys!
Great video brothers greetings from the United states virgin islands in the carribbean us territory st.thomas I am a journeyman heavy Equipment mechanic my dad taught me about heavy duty trucks and earthmoving Equipment repair he passed away last year so I am going to persue this trade full effect all the way forward you guys are great to work with this what I am talking about teamwork without stress and backbiting I am learning a lot from this channel I already subscribed and I am seeking to become a certified heavy Equipment mechanic thanks for the great content I have a question are you guys looking for an apprentice I would love to work with you guys and upgrade my knowledge thanks for the great content God bless
Sometimes I wish I could go back to being a young buck and have worked with a guy like “daddy” lol. All the ppl I worked with took advantage of me being an overachiever
Without humour the day can drag forever. Carson is lucky to be with Cam because there are some real losers out there who act like they know everything but share nothing.
How dare you Using a ryoby impact Thats a sin a big huge sin. Every pro mechanic lnows ur suppossed to use it as a hammer or burn it against another impact. Hahahahha

Absolutely! If you can’t have fun and laugh at work, you’ll never enjoy it!
The jokes are what make this good... people like "being there" vs. watching a class
Haha glad you liked the jokes. We'll continue to keep them in if y'all like them.
@@TekamoHD you guys nailed it with the angles and shots of the actual work being performed too , I know I can't be the only one to appreciate that!

I love watching cam he reminds me of an ex army boy I used to work with in Canada on deployments. He taught me everything I know on tanks
Hi I’m Ebenezer, I’m a heavy duty mechanic can I be your friend?
I must be sick. I work on shit all day and then come home and watch other guys work on shit😂
Good morning Cam!
Thank YOU for finishing this project!
Thanks for watching Bill as always!
I want to know about that extension bar he uses on the wrenches that’s a genius idea, it’s like using a knuckle buster but you can put it on the opposite end and still have an open end
Hey we'll make a video on that tool specifically if that's something you guys want to see in more detail.
Yeah please do, I was watching on my tv and pulled out my phone to ask this very question.
@@petermackinnon6724 Ok will do! Keep letting us know what you want to see. It helps us get good content out to you guys.
@@TekamoHD what's the part number for that wrench extender that thing is sweet
That’s a great idea and I’d like to be part of your team mate I love heavy duty mechanics
ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO
Thanks Perry!
This is mint! Thats the way apprenticeships are supposed to be! Laughing and making work fun with some good old banter.
I liked that wrench trick with the bar as leverage with the two wrenches I never knew that but now I use in my bag of tricks thank you for sharing
Glad you liked the video. Let us know when you get a chance to use it and how it goes.
Great work lots of fun
Thanks buddy
26:57... You guys have a way of bringing out the professional in me.
Videos are amazing 💯
Thanks Chris!
super mecanic respect maxim pentru voi si eu lucrez pe excavator hitachi si mecanicu a montat furtunurile la finali gresite😂😂 maine o sa le inversez
The kinda work i love, watching from Fiji Island 🏝
I swear this bring back memories has a trainee 🤣🤣
Its nice that cam cares about carsons knees
Fun vid! What is the tool called that you used at 15:39 to get more leverage on the two wrenches?

How did you loose tooooth ?
Overzealous seals
I love working on track machines, packed dirt under the covers is like playi g in the dirt again. Haha
What are the spanners called you’re using @15:30? Are they just “hydraulic spanners” been trying to find them for ages
four way angle wrenches snap on makes the best set in my opinion but you can get the same tool from cat for a bit cheaper
Nice one Wrenchy!! Just leave it to the Camster!
What ear protection do you use?
Thanks for sharing
I had to do the same job on my 160 two years ago
You should have a rench noble prize!! Love the trick 👌 ..... keep the good work ❤
Thanks for watching man!
Cam is so funny, he would be so fun to work with
How about a needle scaler to clear all that dirt out.
Worlds deadliest catch 🤣
How does Hitachi do their two speed if the 4th hose is for the brake? Maybe they do a trick with the main flow lines.

I am thinking of becoming a heavy duty truck mechanic but I am not sure if i am physically strong enough for it. What are your thought about this?
Hey on those big fitting an air hammer with a blunt tip works great because it rattles all the rust out and then it won’t twist the line
air hammer and chisel bit makes quick work of loosing packed on hard dirt.
Works great until you blast off a -4 fitting with it haha. Often times I find air works great for blasting out dirt, and better than a pressure washer as no mud or waiting for it to dry.
Needle gun works the best cleans bolts and all
How come you don't wash the parts before you take it apart? Great content.
20:43 cam went german on us
Secure your load
i have a exacavator that won't turn left or right what is your idea about that?
And also the rubber plugs I got to get me some great idea
Get some for sure
I wonder if a needle scaler would have worked good to clean all that dirt away? Or at least blast it with air pressure.
What if someone went to school at wyotech but did not finish. Could they still get a job?
