- One of Cam's typical days as a heavy duty mechanic. He drives to the jobsites, works on machines, and does it all again the next day. But not every job is the same and as a heavy duty mechanic Cam needs to adapt to get each job done and to get the customer's machine back up and running.

When I watch your videos, a German saying comes to mind: "You don't have to be crazy to do this job... But it helps!"😉😂
finally a mechanic that speaks in actual BC mechanic dialect on their youtube
Please keep these style videos coming, I love how natural they are & how honest you are as a mechanic out in the field 😂
lots more Service Call episodes coming. Glad to hear you like em
@@TekamoHD watched all of them mate, keep them coming, love from Australia 🇦🇺
We need a new truck tour NOW
and a new truck tour shall be coming
Great to see a man that knows where air tools are superior.
air is there
Electric tools suck
There are several things that make air tools better. Its hard to take a battery impact on a job that is dirty .
When you returned to the job site I was thinking.. 5 hour drive that would suck if you forgot the hoses and seconds later you said you did. Lol. Thanks to josh for the solid.
haha nah, just too busy working late getting other customers up and running and the ferry is early. Josh is the man for sure.
THANKS JOSH FOR KEEPING ALL THIS TOGETHER
Thanks Josh !!! and thanks Cam for being such a nice and polite HD mechanic waiting for the next episode !!!!!
Josh is the MAN!!! More episodes being worked on!
One thing I like to do when I’m working on the hoses under the turret is take a narrow track whole bucket and dig about a 3 foot deep trench and pull the machine over the top so you’re not having to crawl around on your back. It is awesome for access and keeps you from rolling in the mud. Safety guru’s will cry about it, but it takes 2 minutes and makes getting under so much easier!
I’m convinced that Cam is effectively Canada in human form. Let’s go.
yes
Just the guy that washes the stuff for the mechanics... it is extremely helpful seeing what these guys actually do when i leave and wash another machine, so I can make their job even easier and learn more. Thank you, get some merchandise!
Cam is one of those mechanics that would never get old to work with! Shout out to you, I've done this very job before..what a treat!
cam's the man. Thanks for watching!
Thanks Josh!!! 😂😂
THANKS JOSH
Commenting for the first time on these videos just to THANK JOSH!!! Truly the man

Thanks Josh!
Way back when I was younger, I did what you do. I don’t miss those muddy, hydraulic fluid soaked coveralls. In 2000, my son was born and in ICU. I had to scrub my hands to be able to see him. It took 3 days of scrubbing each time I arrived to get all the grunge from under the fingernails. I am 59 now and sure don’t miss working on heavy equipment! Electronic technician is much cleaner and pays well now.
What you think of generator mechanic as a career?
I'll have to say the cordless grease gun will always be better than air. Everything else I could go either way on.
Oh man, this is the shiz nit for content! Very awesome, Im so jealous of that “office”, so cool to have to take a ferry out to work. Today I was out to a 583 side boom, one of the fan blades came out of the hub, and completely annihilated everything! Busted the fan Hub support off the front cover of the engine, which broke the mounting bosses right off the front cover, then the whole works fell into the radiator and smashed it to smithereens. So I had to go out and get it somewhat able to run enough to be able to rig it out, get the boom off and pull the counterweights off of it so we can haul it home. Then the Zoom boom got stuck since it poured like 2” of rain in the last couple days. Lmao.
Good times! Anyway thanks for the awesome video
Hahaha how fun. Glad you liked the video bro. Always nice to see you in the comments
Finally footage of that *lbeeping* job!!
Always hated pulling belly pans
Every winter maintenance

For crying out loud! Thanks, Josh!
Josh is the MAN
Jesus, you ain’t lying about a challenge, doesn’t look like this thing was ever serviced or even been worked on. Look how pointed the damn sprocket segments are lmao! Wow
Nice to see a Cam work video! Put a tarp down, clean dirt then pull tarp out with dirt on it.
Love the shit talk on parts guys😂 Worked the parts counter at a truck shop for two years any only got crap from the techs. New favorite channel for sure!
Finally.. a mechanic on youtube i can trust
Thanks Josh.
Thanks Media Josh.
We need more and longer videos with Cam! Just found this channel the other day and am instantly hooked! As a career equipment mechanic myself and well it’s my hobby too I 1000% relate with Cam! He has the same attitude and acts just how I or coworkers in this industry do. Plus he seems to be a natural in front of the camera! So I hope to see more and longer service call/repair videos in the future as I will definitely be following along!
Oh lots more Service Call is coming out and lots already out. Glad you found us and you enjoy the episodes. Welcome to the community!
These videos are among the best available on all medias. Keep em coming guys.
Thanks, will do! Lots more Service Call and truck tours coming
"Look I'm David Bowie", as he rotates two ball bearings in his hand like Bowie does in Labyrinth. Comedy genius. 😂
Hahaha yeah Cam is jokes
I grew up in Gibsons, love that little town but I moved up north for cheap homes and great jobs. Logging and the pulpmill are basicly the only industries
Great video guys. So professional work ethics. Worked this industry for many years. The general public has no idea of the tool investment required to do this. Worked with Finning for years.
Thanks for the memories, the old school guy. I mean really old school. I turned 80 this year.
Thanks Josh! And cam! Best H.D channel on TH-cam. A big thank you all the way from Ireland 🇮🇪🇨🇦
Thanks that’s very kind of you. We’re a small channel and community so glad to hear we’re doing a good job
We all need a Josh in our lives. THANKS JOSH!!! 👊
Easily my new favorite channel. Great content. I come from the industrial hvac world but good to see all the guys in the trades are the same. Salt of the earth brothas
Really appreciate it man! Lots more episodes of Service Call and truck tours being worked on
my service truck is a 5500 as well, they’re the best
Send us pictures so we can feature it in a service call episode media@tekamohd.com
The Milwaukees are super powerful BUT you have to have a fully charged high output battery. Best way is to mix air and electric as it suits you.
Thanks josh!!!
Josh is the MAN
This is some immaculate content
Thanks Evan. We're working on tons more
Nice bring back the air tools! I remember him saying he was done with batteries

I love that I’ve rebuilt a d39 Final and smelled the oil and made that exact same face
What happened to our favorite apprentice
I missed you yelling"CARSON!!!!" Every 30 seconds
Killer content lads. Keep them coming
Thanks!! More episodes are coming
All this time I thought it just our shop that had strange guys making strange comments and dong strange things! Apparently after viewing this channel all HD mechanics are totally awesome!!!
Thanks Josh! Love these vids, a lot of good information and I love how Cam keeps it fun and entertaining. Keep it up guys!
With the Duo-Cone if you don’t have the specific tool. I use a piece of SOS (sample tubing) tubing, it’s the like exact thickness. Wrap it around the gap between the back of the duo and the toric ring. Acts as a spacer and then just push it in. I think it’s easier than the specific tool to be fair.
Thanks Josh. And thanks for promoting the adapt or die approach.
"has to come apart eventually right"
Well, some of my experience working on rust belt equipment says "no, actually not" 🤣
Totally AWESOME show! I would love to watch the uncut version, LOL. This has become my favorite channel. Keep up the great work guys. Cam, your acting has you on the way to stardom! You're gonna walk the red carpet someday.........in your covies!!! LOL Stay safe!

Tom at coast is a wizard! Always has the goods!

Watching from New Zealand. Love your content. Thanks so much
What in the world. I’ve never witnessed a dude just moving the track off of the sprocket. I’m in the midst of a duo cone, which turned into replacing the spindle and hub. I split the tracks like some kinda Neanderthal.
Miles is a legend
Thanks Brandon…….whoops I mean thanks Josh, your the locktite holding the whole shitshow together.

That Milwaukee is clearly stronger than that mueller. The small size allowing tighter spaces is nice. Speed also would be nice. Have to torque either.
Awesome content yall. Thank you
Why is this my new favorite channel.
cause we're the best
Great video. What an amazing view from the ferry.
Right? BC is gorgeous man
Thanks a lot George

Hi Cam, new subscriber and loving your content. Thanks very much for sharing your time and impressive insight with us! Best regards from Innisfil Ontario. 🤙😎
Thanks Josh !
Keep up the good work brothas
Josh's are 10/10 work buddies
I’ve been liking the locking flex head Matco’s. I like comfort grip but as a heavy equipment mechanic I hate dealing with the constant grime. I go on the truck to buy a smooth handle and then leave with comfort grip 😂
I like the 18 volt Milwaukee grease gun for tracks. The impacts are bulky but I use them a lot more than air for the convenience. It sure sucks when the batteries are all dead because I can’t remember to charge them. The air is king then
Cams comedy is why I keep watching this stuff , funny as
Thanks Josh! Just recently started watching you guys and I already feel apart of the crew love the vids and knowledge. HEO from Golden soon to be abbotsford!
You’re the man, Josh. Thanks
Thanks Josh !!
