Unfortunately it looks like next year all they are adding is green. It shouldn't be that hard to have more paint choices. This is the kind of car that begs for customization, and they should offer 20 colors if they can. The pastel colors would be fabulous as Hardy points out.
They truly did nail the iconic old design in the new model's looks. Chevy and Jeep could have learned a thing or two from Ford on this (shaking head at new "Blazer" and "Grand Wagoneer").
Hey Tommy! When you said don’t roll over in a old Bronco. You are right, and I have survived one that happened about 2.5 years ago now. I had installed a proper roll cage which is about the only reason I’m alive! I had a 69 Bronco with a 3” lift, 302 with automatic, running on 32” tires, it was a better and safer vehicle than any that left the factory, not even a rattle in it. I was broadsided by a vehicle doing 65 mph, I was doing 50 mph, the speed limit. It was an intersection with traffic lights and I had green, the other driver was distracted, texting. I almost died, was in a coma for 3 days. I Remember when I was hit, and saying “you little F’cker!” And that was it. Don’t remember anything else. Broken ribs, pelvis, hip, dislocated shoulder. Disc damage in my lumbar, closed head injury, internal bleeding from my spleen and a bit more I just don’t remember anymore. I am in permanent pain for the rest of my life. That was with a 3 point seatbelt as an update as well! Glad a doctor was one of the people who stopped to help. I knew the kid and his father. The lawsuit put the father in significant debt as his kid was not authorized to drive that vehicle due to other accidents as a distracted driver. The kid is banned from driving for 5 years, and the lawsuit my insurance company hit the father with was significant. My payout is well into the 6 figure mark, mid 6 figures even and they will likely pay for the rest of my life. Ironically this February of this year, I was in a similar accident and again it was a texting driver!! I just had my new 2021 F150 for about 5 weeks by then. It was again an intersection where the speed limit was 50 mph outside of Calgary and a texting driver ran a red light. He shows up perfectly on the dash camera. He was not speeding this time. I was spun, caught a curb and rolled onto my roof. (In the Bronco I rolled more than once, it like a ball!) I walked away and was only a little stiff the next few days. All the airbags had gone off and the are a fantastic safety feature!! The new Bronco will be many, many times safer than the old classic one, of course. I still like the looks of the classic model better, but the new Bronco is impressive!! Don’t drive distracted, not even with your phone or camera being held in your hand while driving in order to get video, please. I have also lost a nephew & a high school buddy to collisions where distracted drivers caused the accident where they were killed. In every case I discussed the distracted drivers walked away,,,,,,,,.

I have to go into the city once in a while for the fact I’m old and abused my body working way too hard. That’s life, but I hate that city for the way people drive. It can be ok and then there are days where every nut in the city is on the roads. I use a different route into the city now just to avoid the faster intersections, and most intersections in general. Never lived there and so I don’t know the roads well. I’m learning!! Haha. I am very careful with where I take my other classic vehicles now just to avoid the possibility of another accident. I have learned to really appreciate air bags. Also none of my other classic vehicles are as dangerous to drive as the Bronco was. Maybe my 1981 Corvette would be a nightmare to have an accident in. I have heard stories, but never ran across any accidents with one in my 30 years in law enforcement. Gotta have some toys!! My 67 C10, 67 Mustang 2+2 and a 1990 Chevy Silverado 454SS. My real prize, for my tastes is a very well documented one owner, before me, 1967 Chevelle SS 396 4 speed. All of these were teenage and a little older, dream vehicles and now I can have them. They would have cost a lot less if I had just bought them brand new though!! Haha. Stay safe, Eh!
Sorry to hear about your accidents. Stupid kids and their stupid texting. Every time I'm stopped at a red light, the car in front of me fails to move when the light turns green because the young driver is too busy texting.
@@bkucinschi - exactly. I will toot my horn and if they don’t move I lay on the horn for 1/2 a block while following at a safe distance. Often they think brake checking will solve the problem. I leave it be and if they brake check me again, I send my dash cam video into the RCMP or applicable city police. I put a full narrative including the horn info, often if I can make things work right I put the whole video together of it all. They almost always get a warning or warning & distracted driving ticket. Oh well,,,,,,,,. They gotta learn somehow. If only they knew I am hoping it prevents another accident for them & their victims. Not just being a jerk, although the latter is a bit true as well, I must admit.
They should have kept the fold down tailgate. I use my Jeep for sitting a lot and I have to move gear out of the way where a fold down tailgate would provide a seat or a workbench without the shuffling. They did their own thing, but they also mirrored the wrangler as much as they could also.
I agree. Tailgate is more functional than the swing out rear on my Wrangler. A tire carrier is also better for big heavy tires. Ford missed an opportunity.
They thought of that I guess. You can get a slide out tray as an option on this 6th gen bronco. It's stored under the cargo area and slides out like a drawer for you to use as a work bench or a seat like a traditional drop down tailgate.
Not going to lie, I'd like to see Ford do a limited run of "Bronco Classic" or "Retro" where the front grill and wheels are painted white, the bumper and some accents chromed and the body and interior are color matched to original bronco colors. If they don't do it, I'm sure someone else will buy one and do it themselves. I personally prefer the happier light colors and white accents to the modern brooding colors and black accents on the new Bronco, even the cyberorange looks more "aggressive" than "happy" because of all the black accents.
Cool. FYI. That’s a nudge bar on the front of the new Bronco. It’s there to protect the grill from damage in minor bumps etc that might happen off road.
The new bronco is a beautiful vehicle. I love how you can get the sasquatch package on the base model. Its hard to believe that they couldn't get more than 16 mpg out of it. Shocking really. I fully expected no less than 20
I believe Tommy is incorrect here; it’s estimated to be around 21 mpg combined. That likely without the Sasquatch package, but still decent, and certainly better than “mid teens”
There's no way that thing is only getting 16. I have 3.6L w/8 speed, 2 door JL on 35 inch tires and it still gets around 19.5 mpg as a daily. The Bronco should be about the same if not better because all of its engine options are turboed. Even with the sasquatch package, I would think a 2 door should get around 20/21.
@@mrpoizun it's that new 8 speed man, that thing is awesome. Plus it helps that the majority of my commute is on the highway, about 36 miles one way and 30 of it is highway driving.
As a Jeep owner I am excited to see a Bronco in person. I can say I am not a fan how the winch mounts to the Bronco, I much prefer how the Jeep bumper encloses the winch.
I think they’re awesome. I do wish they had something naturally aspirated though (V8 or V6). I’m not a fan of turbo because I keep my vehicles long term. I don’t know how durable turbo is and it seems it would be expensive to repair.
that wont be the problem... Ford has a tough time making all four wheels spin on anything thats not a truck... in typical Ford fashion, im guessing thats Not an F150 under there
There are 3.5 litre EcoBoosts out there with over 300,000 miles. Yet do last if properly maintained. At the very beginning when offering the EcoBoost there were some minor hiccups, but that was 10 years ago. The 2.7 is built very much like a turbo diesel. Same block metallurgy as the 3.0 Turbo diesel offered in the F150 diesel. Turbocharged motors are not what they were in the past. They are significantly better.
Good job Tommy pointing out similarities. Ford did a good job with the new Bronco, really wish they'd offer the manual transmission in both engine options.
Just went through the build and price on the Ford website. If I were buying I'd probably go for the 2 door black diamond trim level, 2.3 turbo 7 speed manual hard top. Add front/rear lockers and the rear ac plug for a fridge and call it a day. Strong argument for the base which I haven't tried to build yet. This is coming from a guy who just took delivery of a 2021 F150 XL short bed regular cab 4x4 with a 5.0. I just love that Ford has still allowed off road options across trim levels, speaking of which that would be a cool video.
I actually really like the new Bronco. I usually don't like the newer vehicles showcased but the new Bronco is very nice. As long as it isn't the Sport.
Well it's a unique model that's not being made anymore so it's rare and a collectible, obviously it would be worth more, but the actual quality and build of it doesn't even compare in that value.
Good video Tommy and Andre. I am not a big ford fan but I can see why people will like these, I loved my 1970 f-100 and 1973 thunderbird was one of the best vehicles I ever owned.
Something you didn't mention is - the speedometer on new Bronco is in a similar location (to the left of the steering wheel) to the original. As always, great video !
Love them. If they had only used a solid front axle, but that is just my boomer whine, if the articulation is there so be it. Much like the Mustang, Ford continues to keep the heritage alive with this design.
@@bartwaggoner2000 Right on. Like I said, if the articulation is there so be it. Probably won't need to worry about death wobble anyway in a vehicle this small with IFS as you point out. Really think Ford will sell a metric butt ton of these. Hopefully they bridge the chassis mods over to the Ranger and kick some Tacoma butt.

I like the new bronco, but there some things that sadly didn’t carry over from the old one. I’d’ve liked to see a tailgate on the rear for more work surface rather than a side gate, and the belt line in the cab looks like it’s at shoulder height rather than a more comfortable height that would also allow more visibility on the trail. The dual tanks on the old one are also sorely missing - the lack of range on the new one (assuming 8mpg off-road) means that it won’t work for several of my favorite day trips around NM, and the lack of payload makes carrying auxiliary fuel an issue.
In terms of inflation-corrected price, I don't think there's really that much of a difference between the old and the new. I had a 1973 for about fifteen years. I bought it from my dad, who bought it new, and kept the window sticker. It was a mid-level trim called the Explorer package but had every mechanical option offered, including 302 V8, automatic transmission, power steering, skid plate group, front and rear limited slip differentials, optional 4:10 axle ratio, heavy-duty GVWR package, dual fuel tanks, and so on. It also had dealer-cut fenders and dealer-installed flares to make room for dealer installed 10-15 Gates Commandos on Jackman white-spoke steel wheels (those wheels sucked, and they're dangerous, btw). The asking price on the window sticker was $5450.00 which is equal to $33,043.08 in today's money. My dad sold that '73 Bronco to me after buying a new '87 Bronco II. He paid about $14,400 for his '87 Bronco II, which is equal to about $34,123.31 in today's money. I recall the actual sticker price as being higher by about 1,000 dollars, but what he paid got him an Eddie Bauer Edition with every option including 3.73 axle ratio with rear LSD, skid plates, and so on. In terms of "real dollars," a Base Bronco at under $29,000.00 seems like a bargain compared to the '73 Original Bronco or the '87 Bronco II. Now you know one of the reasons why Ford only managed to move about 12,500 Broncos per year during the original's '66 to '77 model run. They might have had the refinement of a farm implement but they were never exactly cheap and the asking price was a lot for the lack of refinement and creature comfort the vehicle offered. The people who paid the price weren't "mall crawlers," in the main, but people who actually had a planned use for the low-range four-wheel drive capabilities the vehicle offered.
I like the first gen bronco...and the last gen (~1990-1996). But since Ford still sells the Expedition, we won't see anything like that OJ bronco again😥.
Thanks for the video. I was telling my son ( who is about your age) about the international scout and how the bronco and jeep were trying to catch up to it. So I appreciate your mentioning that. I was thinking about all of the features in the new bronco and thinking that is why it is so expensive. But I really like what I see in it. Thank you for the video.
I hear you but off road, as long as you could keep it running, the scout was better off road. It’s crawling gears were better and heavier. But, like many vehicles from that era they were prone something breaking down…
One big difference in terms of safety features is the fact that the old bronco’s column would impale you if you got into a high speed collision. Much like other vehicles at the time.
To be fair Tommy, there is an efficient version of the bronco that gets 20+ mpg. It’s a big boxy car that weighs a ton, so not surprising you get 17 mpg with the huge tires. It’s comparable to Jeep (if you lifted and put 35s).
I use to have a 77 Bronco-302 Auto that was the Best Handling vehicle I have ever owned. I wish everyday that I still had it. Best 4x4 off road vehicle made, could turn completely around on narrow road...
Tommy, TFL’s previous videos have been saying the the 2-door is only available with a hard top. Now, you’re saying (1:14) in front of the 2-door you are demonstrating, it’s available with a hard top AND SOFT TOP. Could you perhaps clear up this conflicting information in a future video?

You have that backwards lol. The Bronco was a Scout imitation back when it first came out, then they imitated the Blazer when they went to their second generation.
Thank you Tommy, good review. Nice Ford brought it back and kept some versatility. Although love the styling and utilitarianism of the original - then I am old.
They are rubberized so they are pretty well protected against the elements so that includes water, obviously don't be stupid and abuse it by putting the hose directly at the electronics or washing them completely with a hose like that, just wipe it all down with a wet towel or slightly splash some water on the lower area and drain it with the bottom drain, super easy to clean and nothing gets damaged if you actually properly clean like you would normally.
Great series TFL. We are reservation holders and will be trading the wife’s Mopar lifted JLU. Not hardcore off roader’s and the IFS and Ecoboost engines are big reasons we like the Bronco. Our JLU has had steering issues since about 5200 miles (all stock), electronic issues, and other problems there’s no point in getting into. On 315’s she averages 14-15 mpg on a corrected speedo. Ford has Jeep scrambling for headline grabbers and the rivalry is just getting started. The Bronco seems to be a great effort to rival Jeep. Where’s GM?? BTW- we are a Ford and Jeep family. The Bronco will sit in the garage with her lifted TJ and two foxbodies.
If and when the new bronco is actually ever sold, will it increases in value like the old bronco? What about all the computers, sensors, and electronics. Will they still be serviceable in 15 to 50 years from whenever they are actually made?
On the inside the gauge cluster on the old one was reminiscent to the old one how the circle leaned considerably to the left when you turned the key. For a side not I would have to keep the doors on and top closed on dusty roads...I couldn't handle all the dust inside.
I absolutely love the old bronco, and the only thing I don't like about the new bronco are the engine choices, would have liked to see a coyote in there.
I've thought they did a good job harkening back to the old design style from the beginning, you could kind of see it from the early spy shots, and more and more up through this level of direct comparison you did. Very cool!
Nice comparison, that isn't a '71 though. Ford didn't offer the automatic until '73 and the transfer case in '71 wasn't a J style, that also was introduced in '73. The 302 was rated at 200hp, but I think that was gross, so the real number was 170-175. I owned a bone stock '71 from 1991- 1998. It was really fun and the suspension was really comfortable on the road.
I like both, but the electronics are probably going to limit the longevity of the new ones. Especially in the rust belt. Dielectric grease on all connections might help, but who's going to stockpile spare sensors? I miss not having a tailgate on new Jeeps and Broncos. Swingates don't cut it. A gate like the Ridgeline would be great.
I’d take one of each. They did a great job with the styling of the new rig, and kept enough of the concept styling to not water it down to be confused with the plethora of other vehicles on the market. Disappointed that it doesn’t have a solid front axle and v8, but not a deal breaker for me. Who can argue with 35s from the factory?!?!
I think they did a great job on the new bronco, however they should have focused more on the truck side with the bed, i don’t need a large truck, but I need a truck, if they made a bronco that I could through a sheet of 4 by 8 in or even just some boards it could be the truck for me

If the EPA has its way it will be totally disposable once Ford stops making replacement parts...ie modules/electronics that keep it alive and the aftermarket is no longer aloud to play....the old one well it will keep chugging along.
You didn’t open the hood compare the engines. Because one huge difference is that most anyone could work on the motor in the original. But they design the new motor so you have to take it in to even get the oil changed!!
71 is still better! If something goes wrong on the trail, good luck getting it back on the trail. The 71’ could be put back on the road with a beer can duck tape and a coat hanger !

Old cars always looked better in my opinion. Look at the Dodge pick up trucks, the old ones are more "masculine" then the newer ones. Those look a lot more rough then the newer ones. Thats why I'm such a fan of the old W200's
I like the Bronco, but the old one is a lot better for the interior. Nothing but basic with wing windows. Not sure how all that electronic stuff will hold up out in the mud. Would definitely get one with the least amount of electronics as possible.
what's with the open top if it rains get wet get hot aint got top or doors won't be secured. I'd want lock doors turn on alarm. the brush guard keeps grill nice roll over be fine a in old bronco air bags unless seat belt all that needed.
The way they harnessed the soul of the old classic Broncos really makes this such a hit.

maybe they could of did the tailgate like the Honda ridgeline. Swings to the side & also drops down. Tailgate are a nice seat

I believe Tommy is incorrect here; it’s estimated to be around 21 mpg combined. That likely without the Sasquatch package, but still decent, and certainly better than “mid teens”
@@jesslesko3122 I would guess that he’s quoting the mpg for that specific one with the Sasquatch package. Two different engines as well to consider.
There's no way that thing is only getting 16. I have 3.6L w/8 speed, 2 door JL on 35 inch tires and it still gets around 19.5 mpg as a daily. The Bronco should be about the same if not better because all of its engine options are turboed. Even with the sasquatch package, I would think a 2 door should get around 20/21.

@@mrpoizun it's that new 8 speed man, that thing is awesome. Plus it helps that the majority of my commute is on the highway, about 36 miles one way and 30 of it is highway driving.
As a Jeep owner I am excited to see a Bronco in person. I can say I am not a fan how the winch mounts to the Bronco, I much prefer how the Jeep bumper encloses the winch.
I think they’re awesome. I do wish they had something naturally aspirated though (V8 or V6). I’m not a fan of turbo because I keep my vehicles long term. I don’t know how durable turbo is and it seems it would be expensive to repair.
that wont be the problem... Ford has a tough time making all four wheels spin on anything thats not a truck... in typical Ford fashion, im guessing thats Not an F150 under there
There are 3.5 litre EcoBoosts out there with over 300,000 miles. Yet do last if properly maintained. At the very beginning when offering the EcoBoost there were some minor hiccups, but that was 10 years ago. The 2.7 is built very much like a turbo diesel. Same block metallurgy as the 3.0 Turbo diesel offered in the F150 diesel. Turbocharged motors are not what they were in the past. They are significantly better.

Good job Tommy pointing out similarities. Ford did a good job with the new Bronco, really wish they'd offer the manual transmission in both engine options.
Just went through the build and price on the Ford website. If I were buying I'd probably go for the 2 door black diamond trim level, 2.3 turbo 7 speed manual hard top. Add front/rear lockers and the rear ac plug for a fridge and call it a day. Strong argument for the base which I haven't tried to build yet. This is coming from a guy who just took delivery of a 2021 F150 XL short bed regular cab 4x4 with a 5.0. I just love that Ford has still allowed off road options across trim levels, speaking of which that would be a cool video.
I think they should have kept a regular tailgate and had a tire carrier like the 1st gen

Well it's a unique model that's not being made anymore so it's rare and a collectible, obviously it would be worth more, but the actual quality and build of it doesn't even compare in that value.

Good video Tommy and Andre. I am not a big ford fan but I can see why people will like these, I loved my 1970 f-100 and 1973 thunderbird was one of the best vehicles I ever owned.

Really think Ford will sell a metric butt ton of these. Hopefully they bridge the chassis mods over to the Ranger and kick some Tacoma butt.

I like the new bronco, but there some things that sadly didn’t carry over from the old one. I’d’ve liked to see a tailgate on the rear for more work surface rather than a side gate, and the belt line in the cab looks like it’s at shoulder height rather than a more comfortable height that would also allow more visibility on the trail. The dual tanks on the old one are also sorely missing - the lack of range on the new one (assuming 8mpg off-road) means that it won’t work for several of my favorite day trips around NM, and the lack of payload makes carrying auxiliary fuel an issue.
Ford missed an opportunity to option it with a coyote with a manual trans. Aftermarket engine swaps will make this thing a monster.

In terms of inflation-corrected price, I don't think there's really that much of a difference between the old and the new.
I had a 1973 for about fifteen years. I bought it from my dad, who bought it new, and kept the window sticker. It was a mid-level trim called the Explorer package but had every mechanical option offered, including 302 V8, automatic transmission, power steering, skid plate group, front and rear limited slip differentials, optional 4:10 axle ratio, heavy-duty GVWR package, dual fuel tanks, and so on. It also had dealer-cut fenders and dealer-installed flares to make room for dealer installed 10-15 Gates Commandos on Jackman white-spoke steel wheels (those wheels sucked, and they're dangerous, btw).
The asking price on the window sticker was $5450.00 which is equal to $33,043.08 in today's money.
My dad sold that '73 Bronco to me after buying a new '87 Bronco II. He paid about $14,400 for his '87 Bronco II, which is equal to about $34,123.31 in today's money. I recall the actual sticker price as being higher by about 1,000 dollars, but what he paid got him an Eddie Bauer Edition with every option including 3.73 axle ratio with rear LSD, skid plates, and so on.
In terms of "real dollars," a Base Bronco at under $29,000.00 seems like a bargain compared to the '73 Original Bronco or the '87 Bronco II.
Now you know one of the reasons why Ford only managed to move about 12,500 Broncos per year during the original's '66 to '77 model run. They might have had the refinement of a farm implement but they were never exactly cheap and the asking price was a lot for the lack of refinement and creature comfort the vehicle offered. The people who paid the price weren't "mall crawlers," in the main, but people who actually had a planned use for the low-range four-wheel drive capabilities the vehicle offered.

I was thinking about all of the features in the new bronco and thinking that is why it is so expensive. But I really like what I see in it. Thank you for the video.
I disagree, the CJ came out over 15 years before the Scout did, the Scout was trying to catch up to Jeep the entire time it was in production.
I hear you but off road, as long as you could keep it running, the scout was better off road. It’s crawling gears were better and heavier. But, like many vehicles from that era they were prone something breaking down…

One big difference in terms of safety features is the fact that the old bronco’s column would impale you if you got into a high speed collision. Much like other vehicles at the time.
I would rather have the front camera and the safety equipment than a windshield that I'd never fold down
To be fair Tommy, there is an efficient version of the bronco that gets 20+ mpg. It’s a big boxy car that weighs a ton, so not surprising you get 17 mpg with the huge tires. It’s comparable to Jeep (if you lifted and put 35s).
I use to have a 77 Bronco-302 Auto that was the Best Handling vehicle I have ever owned. I wish everyday that I still had it. Best 4x4 off road vehicle made, could turn completely around on narrow road...

Tommy, TFL’s previous videos have been saying the the 2-door is only available with a hard top. Now, you’re saying (1:14) in front of the 2-door you are demonstrating, it’s available with a hard top AND SOFT TOP. Could you perhaps clear up this conflicting information in a future video?
2 door is available in hard top. Thats why orders are being pushed back. I have to wait for my 2 door until 2022 because of the hardtop.

You have that backwards lol. The Bronco was a Scout imitation back when it first came out, then they imitated the Blazer when they went to their second generation.
They usually do a good job with retro vehicles. I really liked what they did with the mustang in 05 and 06

Is everything waterproof like the dash m, screen, shifter etc if you want to hose everything down after it gets all dirty/muddy?
They are rubberized so they are pretty well protected against the elements so that includes water, obviously don't be stupid and abuse it by putting the hose directly at the electronics or washing them completely with a hose like that, just wipe it all down with a wet towel or slightly splash some water on the lower area and drain it with the bottom drain, super easy to clean and nothing gets damaged if you actually properly clean like you would normally.
I believe the interior on the new one should be pretty waterproof so you can wash things down

Great series TFL. We are reservation holders and will be trading the wife’s Mopar lifted JLU. Not hardcore off roader’s and the IFS and Ecoboost engines are big reasons we like the Bronco. Our JLU has had steering issues since about 5200 miles (all stock), electronic issues, and other problems there’s no point in getting into. On 315’s she averages 14-15 mpg on a corrected speedo. Ford has Jeep scrambling for headline grabbers and the rivalry is just getting started. The Bronco seems to be a great effort to rival Jeep. Where’s GM?? BTW- we are a Ford and Jeep family. The Bronco will sit in the garage with her lifted TJ and two foxbodies.

Blazer competed with late 70's Bronco. I don't think that GM ever has this kind of vehicle before as the wrangler or early Bronco.

On the inside the gauge cluster on the old one was reminiscent to the old one how the circle leaned considerably to the left when you turned the key. For a side not I would have to keep the doors on and top closed on dusty roads...I couldn't handle all the dust inside.

I absolutely love the old bronco, and the only thing I don't like about the new bronco are the engine choices, would have liked to see a coyote in there.
The problem is that new cars and trucks are made to be replaced. The old stuff was made to keep in most cases.
I've thought they did a good job harkening back to the old design style from the beginning, you could kind of see it from the early spy shots, and more and more up through this level of direct comparison you did. Very cool!

Nice comparison, that isn't a '71 though. Ford didn't offer the automatic until '73 and the transfer case in '71 wasn't a J style, that also was introduced in '73. The 302 was rated at 200hp, but I think that was gross, so the real number was 170-175. I owned a bone stock '71 from 1991- 1998. It was really fun and the suspension was really comfortable on the road.

I like both, but the electronics are probably going to limit the longevity of the new ones. Especially in the rust belt. Dielectric grease on all connections might help, but who's going to stockpile spare sensors?
I miss not having a tailgate on new Jeeps and Broncos. Swingates don't cut it. A gate like the Ridgeline would be great.
I’d take one of each. They did a great job with the styling of the new rig, and kept enough of the concept styling to not water it down to be confused with the plethora of other vehicles on the market. Disappointed that it doesn’t have a solid front axle and v8, but not a deal breaker for me. Who can argue with 35s from the factory?!?!

1971 Bronco is 205 hp and 225 pound/feet of torque. I bought a new one in 1971.

If the EPA has its way it will be totally disposable once Ford stops making replacement parts...ie modules/electronics that keep it alive and the aftermarket is no longer aloud to play....the old one well it will keep chugging along.
You didn’t open the hood compare the engines. Because one huge difference is that most anyone could work on the motor in the original. But they design the new motor so you have to take it in to even get the oil changed!!

Old cars always looked better in my opinion. Look at the Dodge pick up trucks, the old ones are more "masculine" then the newer ones. Those look a lot more rough then the newer ones. Thats why I'm such a fan of the old W200's

I like the Bronco, but the old one is a lot better for the interior. Nothing but basic with wing windows. Not sure how all that electronic stuff will hold up out in the mud. Would definitely get one with the least amount of electronics as possible.
what's with the open top if it rains get wet get hot aint got top or doors won't be secured. I'd want lock doors turn on alarm. the brush guard keeps grill nice roll over be fine a in old bronco air bags unless seat belt all that needed.
