Or something on board caused a fire that reached the ammunition locker and caused it to sink it. Having been a sailor on board a US aircraft carrier I can say that fire and border ship sucks, but you do everything in your power to fight it. This was likely poor crew training, poor quality of workmanship and poor design. Or a combo of all three.
I spoke to a sailor and he told me the US / UK navies put a massive emphasis on damage control for this reason. Looks like another example of Ivan being sloppy.
It's like those firefighting groups in WWII Japanese carriers. They didn't know how to handle the situation and the plane fuel leaked everywhere. The carrier was burnt down at the end. That ship is carrier Taiho, Drachinifel made a video about it.

While I wasn't thinking about a Diorama (my skill level isn't there yet), I was thinking about buying and constructing a ship of the same class, considering how historic it is in the interesting times we live in.

That needs a reference.. Clearly this model is based on the photo only. Looking at that photo (0:59), I can see why he left the forward structure undamaged - it looks clean through the smoke. This model is great because it shows the size on the ship. That the central damaged structure is a relatively small proportion of the total ship.

The model is really cool. But, there are inaccuracies with the prototype. 1. In the central part of the C300 missiles are not damaged. 2. Lump ladder of the left side is lowered. 3 The side railing of the left side and starboard side in the area of life-saving appliances is folded. The rest of the model is great.

If you can't find it, buy the Varyag kit! I did, Trumpeter includes the decals for her sister ships including Moskva and also includes parts for the Moskva's top radar. As far as I can tell there aren't any other noticable differences.
The conflict is not over yet but someone already doing dioramas of it, I guess it speaks on how important events like this one are going to be to the future.

It depends on which criteria. In the Falkland war General Belgrano was sunk, a former US WW2 cruiser, which had slightly more displacement, but was 1 m shorter and 2 m less wide

The missiles may have hit below the water line and then started a fire which led to the ignition of the ammo and the blowout panels.
The colors are shown on the instructions of the kit.

That needs a reference.. Clearly this model is based on the photo only.
Looking at that photo (0:59), I can see why he left the forward structure undamaged - it looks clean through the smoke.
This model is great because it shows the size on the ship.
That the central damaged structure is a relatively small proportion of the total ship.
Thats total BS as the captain was seen on parade a few days later

The model is really cool. But, there are inaccuracies with the prototype.
1. In the central part of the C300 missiles are not damaged.
2. Lump ladder of the left side is lowered.
3 The side railing of the left side and starboard side in the area of life-saving appliances is folded.
The rest of the model is great.

Just a note. The hull number (121) was painted over before the patrol that she was sunk on.
I really dislike the barrel rocket tubes. They just make the ship ugly, but I understand it's for very lethal weaponry.
It's an absurd level of firepower. If the Moskva had traded even half of the launchers for additional AA and radar, she propably would have been able to survive the attack. A very russian mistake

If you can't find it, buy the Varyag kit! I did, Trumpeter includes the decals for her sister ships including Moskva and also includes parts for the Moskva's top radar. As far as I can tell there aren't any other noticable differences.
Now you need to make a diorama of Admiral Makarov. 😂

I knew you'd do something like this to a modern day ship that was wrecked.

Moskva is the largest Warship sunk since WW2.
It depends on which criteria. In the Falkland war General Belgrano was sunk, a former US WW2 cruiser, which had slightly more displacement, but was 1 m shorter and 2 m less wide

excellent model loved how you painted it and your attention to detail with bits of wreckage on the deck. RIP to all the sailors that died. I had hoped that the war would not incur such losses and would be resolved quickly.
yeah unfortunatly it seems that fighting for their freedom gave ukrainian the strenght to resist russian invasion

Корабль был потоплен из за проблем с системой пожаротушения и нарушений правил безопасности.
Смешно конечно, но мы не знаем когда точно были сделаны фотки и как менялась погода дальше.
