My 3rd year using ry401014us. Love it. Very quiet and cuts very nicely. I have found that it is much better to insert only one battery at a time also try to use battery until just before it cuts off and wait a few hours to let battery cool before recharging, same after charging, wait at least half an hour. It would be nice if it came with option to use battery or extension cord.
Good info. Can you think of reason why my ryobi won’t propel and cut at the same time. Most of the time now when I try both at the same time it will shut down.
Welp I did 2 things - first I disconnected the LED lights and i cleared out a weird cavity on the top of mower deck hidden behind a small 4x6 door. It was full of grass so i vacuumed it out. Now it runs like new. I have been mad at myself because I made both changes at the same time so I don’t know which one actually solved the problem.
After a 3 month backorder, I received my replacement controller. I'll report back here if it fails again. I wouldn't expect any problems until next season during the hot weather however.

thank you , you saved me buying a new one
My mower ran until the battery was depleted. The cutting motor wouldn't start with a fully-charged battery. Head light and self-propelled both work.
Same. Any ideas yet?
At 1:12 minute mark, what is the long yellow piece on top of handle near/on the power switch? Mine doesn't have this.

I'm having the same issue. Did you find a fix?

Do you know how to replace the motor on that. I'm having a issue getting to the motor.
I wonder if the replacement controllers will last any longer than the original?

Where did you get the replacement controllers for blade
Did you figure out where to order those parts?
What are these parts called and where can I buy them?
