I just bought this Ryobi lawn mower and used it for the first time. I have a good size lawn, this thing completely cut the grass and didn't even use up a full battery. I was amazed.
I bought one and the blade was hitting the deck straight out of the box. Exchanged it for another one and has worked great for the last 6 months. Very convenient not having to deal with gas and oil changes.
I have used various gas mowers, and also corded electric over the years for a medium sized suburban home, this mower is by far the best mower I have ever used. I will never go back to gas. No more oil, tune-ups. draining old gas, running out of gas, etc. I have slowly replaced my weed wacker, hedge trimer, leaf blower with Ryobi 40v tools and I haven't regretted getting any of them.
After buying the Ryobi model ry401210 in March (2023), I could not figure out a way to use self-propel **without** spinning the blades. I looked in the manuals. I chatted Ryobi tech support. I thought, dang! How could a design issue like that be missed? On soft scapes and hard scapes, this can be a huge problem if, let's say, you're on a steep slope and need the self-propel to get from A to B. Sure, turn off the motor and push it, old-fashioned way. I concluded that's just something I'll have to live with. But in THIS video ! Wait...really!? I was so excited. In the 8-to-9 minute segment, you can pull the safety bar in position and NOT start the motor and still use the self-propel feature. I went straight to my mower and what do you know?? It works !!

Just bought the non-motorized 'whisper' version of this mower. I'll say it again, in the top trim whisper series - you can get NO POWER wheels. I.e. 100% you push. Thing is, my yard is 100% flat, the mower is light, and it costs less. The cut is fantastic. It mulches like a boss. The whisper series is super quiet, no earplugs needed. I can do my whole yard on 1 battery. The whisper series has a "built in" mulch door, works very well. And I love you can fold the mower up when storing in the garage. Because the mower uses so little battery, I got the carbon trimmer (no battery) and use one of the mower batteries for it. It's also a beast. Cut right through 20" wet grass (as long as you cut somewhat slow and steady).

Bought this mower in July. I haven't used it all that much because of the drought this summer, but I find that it doesn't cut as well as I would have liked (misses grass here and there). On top of that, it stopped working today. The drive engages, but the blade won't spin. It's a Sunday, so the help hotline isn't open. I now have a big area of grass that is longer than the rest of my lawn. To answer a few questions, the handle is locked in correctly, the batteries are fully charged, and the key is in and pointing to the full batteries. As I said before, the drive function works, but the blade won't engage.

Thanks for sharing, that's great to hear. We were impressed with the Crosscut and this model. I will say that the Crosscut definitely performs better than this one. Not by a lot, but it's noticeable if you're looking for it. Thanks for watching.
I bought the 21 inch crosscut and the batteries didn’t last very long, 35 min with both batteries. I contacted Ryobi and they sent me 2 new batteries within 4 days. The new batteries are smaller and shorter but are the same 40 volt and 6ah. They are a new design according to Ryobi. These new batteries are way better than the originals and they lasted 35 min each. Also when I got into thicker grass the mower cut increased and slowed when it got back to normal thickness.
That's odd that you got the old batteries with the Crosscut. I thought they only came with the newer ones. Glad the new batteries worked out for you. Yes, the electronics are very cool when it senses the higher load and calls for more power. Thanks for watching.
I'd like to see more reviews of Ryobi 40V tools. Preferably the entire 40V lineup. I've had the pleasure of using the 14" Chainsaw and I have to say I'm really impressed, considering what it is. It's no top-of-the-line Stihl, but it has done a great job so far. It even impressed my Brother and he dislikes electric chainsaws, corded and cordless alike. So impressed, he's investing in the 16" model to put with his Camping Gear. I'd like to see what else they have to offer and how well it holds up to other Brands with a similar model.
@@jorge8915 Still works great. Came in very handy last July, we had a tornado rip through here and the cleanup is still ongoing. A lot of crews were running out of gas with no easy way to replenish the supply due to a 4 day power outage. I kept mine charged with some Harbor Freight solar panels and kept going until it got dark each day. From sunrise to sunset 7 days straight and not a single problem with it. I also have the 40V string trimmer(takes attachments) and a handheld blower that I use for my lawn care business and they work great, too. 5 battery packs and 2 chargers. 2 batteries are 4Ah and 3 are 6Ah and it only takes 45 minutes to fully charge a 6Ah. Nonstop use of the saw lasts around 30 minutes(20 for the 4Ah). Looking forward to investing in some 8Ah batteries soon.
I know this is an old comment, but I bought my first home last year and went straight to ryobi 40v for my ope (except the lawn tractor, that's gas). Got the 600cfm blower and brushless attachment capable trimmer in a combo with a 4ah battery (for 199 crazy). Got the 20' push with a 6ah, the earth auger (tool only) and found the second gen leaf vac kit on clearance. Not a single one has let me down in the year I've had them. My only complaint is with the leaf vac, and theyre both mimor. The leaf vac NEEDS a 6ah or bigger battery to run well, and it comes with 2 4ah batteries, which to me is a miss. I would of preferred 1 8ah battery.
I wish reviewers would test them on a lawn that needed to be mowed instead of lawns that are pre-mowed. I have found only one review where they mowed what would be a weeks growth for me and this mower went only 24 feet before dying!
I have this same mower...after I bought it, I charged up the batteries to full before cutting it. I have approx 1.25 acres of lawn, and it was fairly long before cutting it because my previous mower wasn't working, which is why I finally bought the Ryobi. So, it was WAY overdue to cut. Since it was so long, I didn't use the bagger because it would fill WAY too fast and I also didn't mulch. It cut the lawn just fine, and since the grass was long, the battery cranked up higher than normal when hitting thick grass (it knows when to crank up higher to cut properly) so...the battery will deplete a bit quicker with longer grass, but it cut it just fine.....I didn't use full both batteries to finish the lawn...I used approx 1.5 of the batteries charge to finish it off. Now...when I cut my lawn when its not TOO long, I won't use a full charge of one battery...but its good to know I have the second one if I need it. I do know someone who bought the big Ryobi riding mower for $5,000 because he has a VERY big lawn. It has become a disappointment for him for how much he spent....now THAT mower I would NOT recommend. Hope this answers your question.
@@defhoez449 Sorry, but I do not believe you. There is no way your mower goes for 4+ hours like that on one charge. You cannot mow 1.25 acres with a 21" mower in less time than that, especially if the grass it tall. Even Ryobi with their lying advertisements don't try to make ridiculous claims like that.
@@Margalus then don’t believe me..I don’t really care if u buy one or not. I don’t work for Ryobi, and I love my mower. The grass isn’t knee high, and it’s flat as well. Also..it doesn’t take 4 hrs to cut an acre and a half of grass
@@Margalus that pisses me off when i see these reviewers mow 1 inch of light grass, thats not a test i need to know if this mower can cut through overgrown grass and weed just as well as a gas powered mower, so far it looks like everyone is just trimming the top off of their 100 square foot lawns 😒
i've owned this lawnmower for over three years now it's still under warranty and the first thing that broke on it was the actual cover that goes over the batteries because the hinge is the clear plastic that you see that shines light on the batteries. I own a Ryobi rotary power scrubber it also has a battery cover that's the made of the clear plastic. It also broke at the hinge. I've been in contact with Ryobi for warranty repair and let me put it this way being on hold for three hours and then being told that I have to ship my lawnmower to Ryobi in a box that's the original box which I do not have anymore is extremely restrictive and the same thing goes for the power brush. My question is why did Ryobi make the lids on all these devices out of the clear plastic when these devices show that the clear plastic is brittle and fails and then when trying to locate replacement parts becomes a nightmare. I do not recommend you spend money on the lawnmower or any other accessories that Ryobi makes that uses the clear plastic. It is junk. Also, I found out that Ryobi is a Chinese brand now called homelite which is also also just plain junk.
I like that it allows mulching and bagging simultaneously. I’ve got a large yard where the front/back come to about 1.5 acres of actual lawn. I’m seriously thinking of getting the Ryobi battery operated mower for all the reasons mentioned in the video. The self-propulsion should make my walk much easier with the bonus of getting some exercise!
My lawn is approx the same size as yours...maybe a bit less. I've had my Ryobi 21" mower for about a month now, and so far, so good. I LOVE this mower, and it mulches and cuts nice. The self propulsion is great, and its easily adjustable for speed. I start to get a bit tired while cutting, so I easily slide the adjuster speed to slow it down a bit. I highly recommend this mower. I cut my lawn using not quite one battery charge...but, my lawn is also very flat.
I have this and love it, I only have 1/2 acre and I use 2 x 6ah batteries and 1 x 4ah battery to get thru the whole lawn, just fyi you might need a lot of batteries for that size yard.
Can you do a test now after 2 years? Hows the battery and hows the plastic holding up? Also, can you do a drop test, like if something heavy would fall on the mowers plastic frame? I would appreciate it. Considering this or a Honda.
My electric mower model RY401014 has worked very well since I bought it last August. After storing it over winter I have used it this year until yesterday when it just stopped. Batteries are fully charged. Key works fine. Still no go. There seem to be no adjustments to be made on the handle. What is wrong?
Here’s a question I can’t seem to get answered even by the Home Depot staff (not surprised!): Can a Ryobi crosscut dual blades be installed on the 3in1 mower?
That's probably not to shabby of a choice, but we've yet to test the new Makita mower. We've reviewed their stick tools, but not the mowers. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@Shoptoolreviews Stan the "dirt Monkey" did one on some tough conditions with I think the steel deck and it seemed to hold up well. The thing I like about Makita is that they stay with the 18Volt better and just keep inprovming it. I don't know, but is anyone else like me where you get tired of adding new batteries with new chargers because it is the latest and greatest?
This is the second season with my 40V 21in brushless mower. I need a new hub which connects the blades to the mower. The two projections that hold the blade have worn off. Ryobi does not have site where you can get this part. They have subcontracted this to various companies and they claim that Ryobi does not support this mower anymore. As well my AWD does not work as the front wheels do not drive, however fortunately the back does. Also, one of my 40V batteries is now not functional. It is almost impossible to contact Ryobi directly. The mower is great when it works, but beware the problems with maintenance.
It’s not hard at all. I think the plastic deck is really a benefit in this area. I chose not to use the self propel when going down hill, I feel like that would save some of the battery as well.
This might be a dumb question. Would not using that self-propelled feature and just manually pushing it helps save battery? I get that the light doesn’t draw a lot, but moving those wheels, I assume soes
Yes, pushing without the self-propulsion will save battery; however, it's quite a bit more resistance. That's one of our complaints about the RYOBI is that when you push it, you actually push against self-propel motor. Milwaukee and some others have an automatic neutral that allows the rear wheels to free-wheel when not in use. Thanks for watching.
You showed me how to activate my mower. Thought it wouldn’t cut. Do I have to sharpen or do something to the blade first? Will this handle tall (6inch) grass. If not will Home Depot refund? Thank you
I love your videos. Tons of info crammed into a short time. I'd like to know how this will cut a tall grass or a lawn that's sat un manicured waiting for a new mower. Also what the tallest and lowest cuts heights are. Also... Just say short or tall. ;)
Only thing I wonder is if the 21 inches misses as many blades of grass as the 20 inch? In terms of cutting these things blow. In terms of not dealing with grass great. Also terrible for tall grass compared to gas mowers.
When I bought this same model in May 2021, it came with standard batteries, not HP batteries. In fact, you can't get Ryobi 40V HP batteries. So what is HP about these 40V HP tools?
@@Shoptoolreviews The question was asked on the Home Depot site about the 40V HP tools. Ryobi says the tools will perform better with HP batteries. But we can't get them. It's a mystery to me. I'm wondering if they started selling the tools before the batteries were ready.
Bought one last week finally. I returned it , it cut great mulched great only used 1 battery for my entire lawn of KBG. Problem the amount of flex in the front wheels. If you pick up the rear of the mower it can cause the blade to hit the deck. I have one small off camber section in my lawn and if I ran across it the blade hit the deck. My old 16in ryobi does not do this , don't really care to deal with the hassle of warranting it out especially since it's priced as high as any other battery mower without that issue
We are going to be testing this scenario of lifting the back of the deck up to see if we see the twist and deflection. Sorry that we missed that. We did a lot of lifting the front wheels off the ground with very little twist, nothing that would cause the blade to hit the deck. Really, the only other battery powered mower with the power and runtime would be the EGO Select Cut, and that's a little more expensive. It's a power beast. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I just bought one from Craigslist a few days ago (haven't used it yet). I didn't realize it could be stood up - thanks, that makes storage a whole lot better! Does anyone know where I could download an owners' manual? I didn't get one with it.
Im thinking getting the previous model lol i always get the previous model before the brand spanking new one. Had my recent ryobi for years now but about time to replace. This looks good but im thinking about getting last years model.
I owned the 21” cross cut mower. The blade controller failed twice. It still is in the warranty repair location for the last 2 months. All controllers are on back order. While at repair location they had 35 mowers with same issue. Shame on Ryobi
I bought this mower one year ago. This year it keeps stalling every time I mow. and yes I set the height to the highest lever and it still stalls when I hold the self propel bar, but does not if I just push it, which is difficult. anyone else having this problem??
@@Shoptoolreviews I have. I asked Home Depot to either give me a new one or my money back last year. they said no. I've contact Ryobi several times and they told me to drive it to Melbourne which is over an hour away since Home Depot no longer accepts Ryobi to be serviced. Which by the way the first time took 6 weeks for me to get the mower back. :-( It's a $500 lemon!
Hi, Recently purchased the RY401014 mower, can't use it though until Spring gets here (I hope!). My question is could I put the 'hot' battery in the frig to cool it down faster so as to recharge it? Do you see any big problem in doing this? So glad I found your video it was very helpful, this is my first battery powered mower. Thank you.
The repair centers in TX for Ryobi are terrible! Once you turn your mower in for a repair; you never know when or if you're going to get it back because they keep telling you over and over they haven't started on it yet. Calling Ryobi Customer Service is terrible also because you can never get anyone on the line to talk to about the issues you're having with their designated repair centers.
The current price on this mower is $649!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is $180 difference!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s not made in America. That would mean that it wouldn’t be made of plastic. All that means is that they assembled it in the US. Which is what I can do myself.
Thanks for watching. How tall is the grass that you're cutting? This is definitely not the mower to cut overgrown grass, but it seems to do great on maintained lawns. Thanks for watching.
It's no doubt like all the other Ryobi mowers. Make sure all handle locks are fully locked. If not it kills it every time. And it could be incidental on how long it can go before it trips the system to shut down. Been there once. Also, make sure all cooling ports are clear. It's electric, not invincible. Brushless tools need good cooling. Top complaint about the cordless weed trimmers is they shut down. But people rest their wrist on the cooling ports on top and restrict cooling. It has to get it or it will trip the heat sensor. Brushless tools are heavily monitored.
Mine is shutting off randomly quite frequently. It has even done it rolling across the driveway. The handle is fully locked. It does it in any of the 3-in-1 methods.
Bought mine in July and am now having this problem. Called support and was told to put the handle down and up about three times. Still having the problem. Very frustrating!
Returning mine almost immediately. The first attempt at mowing the yard on a full charge & couldn't go more than 20ft without it shutting off. Tried different combinations of settings & always shut off after a few seconds. Apparently this is common for this brand, what a piece of crap. Avoid at all costs.
I've read enough of the negative reviews to know that there are all kinds of problems with these things. Affordable cordless lawnmowers are simply a bridge too far. Even worse, there are design flaws which don't have anything to do with electric power which render it toy-like, wholly unsuitable for its intended purpose. I would be embarrassed to put my name on products such as these.
I have the exact model, used it 4 times now the mower doesn't start but light will turn on and the automatic drive is working. Any idea what might be the problem?
People beware there are ads for Ryobi 40v self propelled 21" out there for $98.88,, there all fake,, don't send them your order , you will lose your money ,, they ads are fake

I don"t understand, so they give you crap batteries and if you don"t complain great, but if you do they send you better batteries, Im confused.
@@michaelwas8549 yes that sounds messed up. I was just about to by this but now I have to do some battery research first.
Just what I needed to hear before taking the dive into final purchasing decision. Well explained. Thanks a Million.👍
How is the chainsaw holding up?
Nice review, got one today and wife loves it. Kinda hard to backup though even when drive off.
so what is stopping you from backing up if drive is off? That doesn't make total sense for me.
Can you use the cross cut blade on this machine?
How does it do on rough terrain? Random roots, pebbles, twigs? Not everyone has a no tree perfect lawn. I have gumball trees and such
Yes, I understand. This does fine in uneven terrain. RYOBI also makes an AWD version that we will be testing very soon. Thanks for watching.
Please don't yell at us. We are your friends.
In addition to it being cheaper than the crosscut model, if you live in the tri-state area PSEG offers a $40 rebate check for buying a battery mower.
There you go, even better reason, save some money. Thanks for watching.
Do they still offer a rebate??
When it comes to handle bar controls and ergonomics which one is better the single blade or the cross cut?
Damn!!!! Y'all some CRYBABIES!!!
i've owned this lawnmower for over three years now it's still under warranty and the first thing that broke on it was the actual cover that goes over the batteries because the hinge is the clear plastic that you see that shines light on the batteries.
I use two batteries to get to and from the local corner store, and it barely drains the second battery unless the traffic is bad.
Excellent video, very easy to understand! Nice job! 😎
I have this mower,it's great,is there a striping kit for it?
What is the average run time on just one battery?
Thanks for the review, very informative and well orated.
Can you leave batteries in when storing for a week? Or is it just safer to take them out?
My electric mower model RY401014 has worked very well since I bought it last August. After storing it over winter I have used it this year until yesterday when it just stopped. Batteries are fully charged. Key works fine. Still no go. There seem to be no adjustments to be made on the handle. What is wrong?
Here’s a question I can’t seem to get answered even by the Home Depot staff (not surprised!): Can a Ryobi crosscut dual blades be installed on the 3in1 mower?
Seems like a good mower, but I would pay the extra for the Makita pro mower with the aluminum deck if you want a tougher battery mower.
I don't know, but is anyone else like me where you get tired of adding new batteries with new chargers because it is the latest and greatest?
thanks for the vid. does this have 1/2 in height adjustments or only full inch?
Yes, they are roughly 1/2". There are 7 different settings, yet it only changes the height less than 4" overall. Thanks for watching.
@@Shoptoolreviews thanks!
Great job on the review
Had one of these. Took it back because of the niw well-documented deck flex for this mower. I got the eGo 21' instead.
The blade won’t spin anymore but the self propelled part works?
Can you use the 12 amps?
I have this exact model. I thought I should be able to use the power drive without activating the blades, but I can’t. Interesting.
Mine didn't work either...... in the instructions it says to .pull the bail back and pull the drive stick to use. It didn't move.
I also have this model. Mine self propells without the blades running if I squeeze the handle buttons and push the paddle down.
Bogs down in taller grass & replacement parts are hard to find
This is the second season with my 40V 21in brushless mower. I need a new hub which connects the blades to the mower. The two projections that hold the blade have worn off. Ryobi does not have site where you can get this part. They have subcontracted this to various companies and they claim that Ryobi does not support this mower anymore. As well my AWD does not work as the front wheels do not drive, however fortunately the back does. Also, one of my 40V batteries is now not functional. It is almost impossible to contact Ryobi directly. The mower is great when it works, but beware the problems with maintenance.
Awesome video, very helpful. How often do u sharpen the blades?
How hard it it to push without using the self propel feature?
It’s not hard at all. I think the plastic deck is really a benefit in this area. I chose not to use the self propel when going down hill, I feel like that would save some of the battery as well.
@@Grumpysnacks That's probably a good idea
This might be a dumb question. Would not using that self-propelled feature and just manually pushing it helps save battery? I get that the light doesn’t draw a lot, but moving those wheels, I assume soes
Yes, pushing without the self-propulsion will save battery; however, it's quite a bit more resistance. That's one of our complaints about the RYOBI is that when you push it, you actually push against self-propel motor. Milwaukee and some others have an automatic neutral that allows the rear wheels to free-wheel when not in use. Thanks for watching.
Do you think this can be alter to 2 blades?
You showed me how to activate my mower. Thought it wouldn’t cut. Do I have to sharpen or do something to the blade first? Will this handle tall (6inch) grass. If not will Home Depot refund? Thank you
Hello, I just bought this mower and my light and propeller work, but my blades do not turn on. Any tips?
Would you recommend this over the Ego 21” with 7.5ah battery?
the height varies from 1.5 to 4.0 inches, but the height indicators don't say what height slot 4 is. Do you know?
Can this mower fit the 8ah high capacity battery
I love your videos. Tons of info crammed into a short time. I'd like to know how this will cut a tall grass or a lawn that's sat un manicured waiting for a new mower. Also what the tallest and lowest cuts heights are. Also... Just say short or tall. ;)
Can you show it cutting thick grass? You can see open dirt in almost every clip.
Only thing I wonder is if the 21 inches misses as many blades of grass as the 20 inch? In terms of cutting these things blow. In terms of not dealing with grass great. Also terrible for tall grass compared to gas mowers.
Your video editor failed. No links in the description or onscreen for the crosscut review you mentioned.
Got one today
When I bought this same model in May 2021, it came with standard batteries, not HP batteries. In fact, you can't get Ryobi 40V HP batteries. So what is HP about these 40V HP tools?
HP in the 40V line is more about the Brushless motor in the tool/mower. Thanks for watching.
@@Shoptoolreviews The question was asked on the Home Depot site about the 40V HP tools. Ryobi says the tools will perform better with HP batteries. But we can't get them. It's a mystery to me. I'm wondering if they started selling the tools before the batteries were ready.
Great review! Thanks. Got a question. How do you clean the underside? Cause it's electric, I'd be leery of hosing it down.
Compressed air works well, especially after it dries. Thanks for watching.
@@Shoptoolreviews Thank you!
Same. Just bought one and a lot of flex on rougher uneven grass. One day on and have cut marks inside from hitting.
I can usually get through my 1/2 acre on the 2 included batteries. Not always, but usually.
That seems about right. Thanks for watching.
I just bought one from Craigslist a few days ago (haven't used it yet). I didn't realize it could be stood up - thanks, that makes storage a whole lot better! Does anyone know where I could download an owners' manual? I didn't get one with it.
Mine didn’t come with one either and I just ordered it today from Home Depot! Crazy. 😅
Thank you sir 😊
Is it safe to operate in the rain?
In light rain, yes. We wouldn't recommend in a downpour. Thanks for watching.
Wait a darn minute!!!, did nobody else even see that toxic cloud of smoke burning up in the background!!!!???
4:20 you never showed the bagger
Im thinking getting the previous model lol i always get the previous model before the brand spanking new one. Had my recent ryobi for years now but about time to replace. This looks good but im thinking about getting last years model.
Can you do a review on HONDA NEXITE 200CC 21-IN 4N1
I have the Honda hrx 217hya. I've had it for 3 years, no complaints.
I owned the 21” cross cut mower. The blade controller failed twice. It still is in the warranty repair location for the last 2 months. All controllers are on back order. While at repair location they had 35 mowers with same issue. Shame on Ryobi
I had one that blew up like i hit a ied...worked it to hard pulling amps battery over heated and blew..
Wow! Did the battery blow up or the motor?
No gas, no oil, no run. Used mine 5.1 times. 😅
I bought this mower one year ago. This year it keeps stalling every time I mow. and yes I set the height to the highest lever and it still stalls when I hold the self propel bar, but does not if I just push it, which is difficult. anyone else having this problem??
I'd take it back to Home Depot or contact RYOBI support. That shouldn't be happening. Thanks for watching and sharing.

Thank you.
Condensation comes to mind
that lid separate after few months of use. I end up using glue on it.
Really? I haven't seen or heard of that. Did it just fall off? Thanks for watching.
My 7 year old Ryobi mower takes one 4 ah battery to mow my whole yard. I bought this and it takes both the 6 ah batteries, I’m really disappointed.
mine wont start, barely used it and nobody will service it.
In a mood
The repair centers in TX for Ryobi are terrible! Once you turn your mower in for a repair; you never know when or if you're going to get it back because they keep telling you over and over they haven't started on it yet. Calling Ryobi Customer Service is terrible also because you can never get anyone on the line to talk to about the issues you're having with their designated repair centers.
I loved the review, just missed how to load the bag but it was informative
Very helpful. BTW, it's pronounced RYE obi, not REE obi. Tootles!
I’ll wait till you don’t have to switch the key over when a battery dies. Can’t be that hard to make it automatic
It's been done, but it's patented and nobody wants to pay the company for the rights to use it. ;)
It’s not made in America. That would mean that it wouldn’t be made of plastic. All that means is that they assembled it in the US. Which is what I can do myself.
Anybody have a problem with it stalling out? Mine goes for 20 yards and the blade stops. Any troubleshooting solutions?
Thanks for watching. How tall is the grass that you're cutting? This is definitely not the mower to cut overgrown grass, but it seems to do great on maintained lawns. Thanks for watching.
Its not tall. Very maintained. Cuts out when I tilt and turn
Don't spend the money on the crosscut. Just buy this model and a set of crosscut blades and put them on this. It's the same thing but cheaper.
Have you tried this in real life? Genuinely interested. Just bought mine today
Returning mine almost immediately. The first attempt at mowing the yard on a full charge & couldn't go more than 20ft without it shutting off. Tried different combinations of settings & always shut off after a few seconds. Apparently this is common for this brand, what a piece of crap. Avoid at all costs.
That's an odd one. We haven't seen this type of issue.
Which design flaws are you talking about?
I have the exact model, used it 4 times now the mower doesn't start but light will turn on and the automatic drive is working. Any idea what might be the problem?
Hate the handle on the cross trek model
Really?! I like the cross-cut handle better than the regular 40V HP model. Thanks for watching.
People beware there are ads for Ryobi 40v self propelled 21" out there for $98.88,, there all fake,, don't send them your order , you will lose your money ,, they ads are fake
Lightweight is good and what did I use it for it’s a lawnmower th-cam.com/users/postUgkxTPN04aT-Qdjr_KS3ql7ng8wnU3wwsCqk also recommend Yes it is lightweight so hence not as robust as our old one. But if you take care it does the job really well.
