Also would like to add that stock tires (No Vanity) on different specs may have a different width, so installing even Spearhog type can help.
In a word, yes, a wider wheel base gives you a bit of better performance in terms of handling, some tires that also are really good are the Wo Lun Tires and the F1R3 retro tires
Could be so but I put semis on a rally and rally raid and they perform like the standard rally or rally raid tires. That make no sense if tires are really having some kind of impact in the handling.
@@joseangelgarciagomez4085 In most case scenarios, tires will in fact affect handling performance which is dependent on the compound being used. Slicks by logical definition offer the most grip on tarmac but suffer anywhere else, whereas off-road tires are the complete opposite. Since The Crew is an arcade racer there's of course going to be a lot of unrealistic aspects about the physics.
wheelbase theory was confirmed by a dev back in tc2, its a "feature" of the way the physics on the car are calculated (it does use actual wheel placement, which is why widebodies improve handling too). there would be no reason why this isnt still the case in motorfest.
I hear you but there is definitely a reason why Motorfest would be different. They completely redesigned the physics and handling
@@MilitiaGamingCommunity handling yes but i think the internal physics calculations are still mostly if not entirely the same. Its known that tcm started its life as a tc2 dlc, which is one of the reasons why the same game engine is still used. The concept of using the actual car model as the platform to base your physics calculations off is also a very logical one in my opinion.
So could it be different? Technically yes, which is why its good to test it, but it was a very logical assumption from the start that it was going to be a similar story to tc2.

Wheelbase is NOT affected by vanity tires or widebodies, as it is the measurement of the distance between the front and rear axles - the parameter being affected by vanity tires and widebodies is TRACK WIDTH.
From my experience in TC2, it’s not so much grip, as it is stability &/or agility.

That's like saying the wings and front bumpers or rear defusers actually increases down force, this is all cosmetic
no its not all cosmetic devs have confirmed some tire make the wheelbase wider and also confirmed the wider the wheelbase the better the handling and grip because it effects the physics it has all confirmed back in tc2 and motorfest is developed as an map expansion dlc from tc2 wich just got released as standalone and even with the different physic you can also see in motorfest that some tieres are wider than others
Why don`t equip offroad tyres instead of second slicks on one of the test runs ? That could prove the diffrence in more obvious way and literally prove the theory that tyres choice mattters.

Awesome! TBH I haven't done enough research on which vanities cross over but I plan to make a video about all the TC2 exclusive cars that you can get..im just swamped with the Hoonigan stuff at the moment.

Brother do the Story missions( many free cars and vanitys) ore do the Discipline Trees and unlock the boss of each Discipline(4free boss Car).
And on top you can win 2street cars if you finish all special episode races(i unfortunately dont know the name) bmw m8 in a special edition and an Mitsubishi3000 in a special edition.
Last thing is there are extra races that give you cars like the Rally Raid Mercedes X ore Sls Racing.
Just search for „all free Cars in crew2“ and most of them should show up

well i know the most will even with this proove say it doesnt make any difference but it does since tc2 and tcm is build on tc2 so same for tcm and in terms of wich tires are good i have a whole google spreadsheet wich is basicly a list of all good tires and this was testet on multiple accs from multiple persons and union jack is not the only one

the hyper beast tires gives you so far the widest wheelbase. wider than union jack and every other one.
the funny thing is i said this with vanity tires and wide bodys already in your very first summit videos over and over again and a couple months later this is like a new invention and everyone heard the first time of this🤣🤣🤣
hyper beast is not the widest tire at all just use the known atlantic method and you will see the hyper beast is smaler than the union jack
@@TheRawhead66 for me the hyper beast gives the Most alignment If you compare the Tires on an Alpha gp Car. With hyper beast Tires im also nearly 2 Seconds faster than with Union Jack in my tests.
One one Track i tested the F40.
With Union Jack i couldt pass 2:15
With hyper beast i Managed 2:13

Well I don't think that tires have impact in handling because when you put semis on a off-road car his handling don't change.
It’s not the tread that makes a difference. It’s the width of the wheelbase. Check out Akors vid linked in the description

It says in the description of tires that "the item only modifies the visual aspect and does not modify gameplay" So it's just in everyone's mind that they do. They are "vanity" which is only for looks.

there is default vanity tires, that have the exact same effect as the union jacks for example...just look for the tires that give u the widest wheel base...those were added back in tc2, coz of the discovery of the effect those tires have on the handling of the cars

Yes, wider fenders also have an effect. I made a video testing those as well.
Ultimately, vanities u rock DON’T matter. If ur consistently making top 5 in grand races and top 500 in summits, ur already at a skill level where having 5-10% more grip won’t make a difference, not that those vanities tires give u that much grip to begin with. The only time where it would make sense using them is if ur going for world record times or if ur constantly neck in neck with second or first place in grand races while they’re using the same car as u. That second part wouldn’t surprise me since some people only get enjoyment from games if they win, and we’ve seen a bunch of ppl rocking the same meta cars in grand races already. Those ppl probably enjoy watching paint dry as well, but that’s besides the point. Put wtv vanities you like aesthetically, it won’t make enough of a difference anyways if u play casually. You’ll still be able to win grand races and make platinum in summits. That’s all the game has to offer in end game anyways, so why sweat ur balls off?
the meta tires can give you a small help if your skill level is not great or the car your using has very bad handling characteristics.
but yes in general if you're very skilled the diference is negligible.
Actually, the only players where the vanity tire WILL make a difference is the ultra skilled. At the highest skill level EVERY advantage is huge because the players themselves are basically equal.
