Navigate to: Documents\My Games\TS2Prototype\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
Open Engine.ini in your favourite text editor
Add these two lines to the bottom:
[/script/engine.renderersettings]
r.DefaultFeature.MotionBlur=False
Save the file.

Hey Jeff I am a Amtrak engineer and I am shocked that ever thing in the video is 100% accurate! Every curve, signal and even the speeds are spot on!!! Minimum brake wouldn't slow you down that quick though 😅

Holy cow! That really looks like Newark Liberty International Airport's train station. In previous versions of the game they get close enough or just a generic looking station, but this one looks like the legit station. I've only seen Newark Penn from the outside, go Devils, but it looks like the legit station too. I think Train Simulator already had a pretty accurate looking Newark Penn before TSW but TSW is better. Secaucus and New York Penn are as accurate as always. Every time I've seen NEC lines they get those easily. There's not much there anyway.

If you turn on the safety systems it actually tells when the speed limit is changing and gives you time to adjust

Dale Robertson The fun in activating the safety systems is you actually have to pay attention to the speed you’re going at or else the emergency brakes trip. The real gangsters turn the safety systems on🤷♂️

The graphics are great, but the game is unrealistic. Those markers that sit right in the middle of the track annoy me. I would much rather have a rail simulation with realistic wayside and cab signals that follows the actual signal rules of the depicted railroad. I truly wish that some developer would develop a rail simulation for North American railroads only.
Would be cool to have an option for that
you can turn off all the UI elements and just drive the train via the onboard instruments and trackside signals if you want. this guy is playing in easy mode...

@@pennsyrailfan4995 Are you referring to real life? There are multiple spots in real life where it is allowed to go 125mph. None that are represented in this portion of the route though
If you want to get rid of the motion blur in-game, just press Ctrl+F2. This toggles motion blur without having to mess with the game's files.

One of the best trips I ever took was on a train. Until I woke up looked out the window and was like omg where dead. We went over a track right over water. Lol. Was a fun trip. 25 years ago. So I can imagine how sweet new ones are
Fun fact: There is a mod on the ATS workshop that allowed you to receive 10 mill money and 135k exp, it's called profile jumpstarter.
Thanks for the tip to disable the motion blur, very useful! It was driving me crazy and I didn't think there was a way to stop it.
A shame they axed FlightSim World if it had this much potential.

If you're new and struggling with the game just keep watching helpful content and keep practice on the game, I started playing this game with no experience but a while after getting it I can now complete a new service without any hud

That's on the old Train Simulator, which is PC only.

Welcome to the world of the Northeast Corridor, Amtrak's pride and joy. The route is gorgeous, and the ACS-64 is the current face of operation. ACS-64's are 70 Siemens Mobility built engines for Amtrak from 600 to 670. Two units (601 and 627) are out of commission due to wrecks. The fan favorite is 642, aka the Veterans Sprinter. There are an additional 15, 901 to 915 used by the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority or SEPTA of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The coaches behind you are Amfleets. Just a little info about the NEC operations. By the way, 600, the class leader is named David L. Gunn after the former Amtrak president who commissioned them to replace their predecessors, the EMD AEM-7 and Bombardier-Alstom HHP-8.

Hey Jeff glad to see you playing this again, I come back to it all the time myself! I have to think you'd really enjoy the newer LIRR dlc :) Those trains sound amazing with the way they take power from the third rail.
Btw you don't need to mess with config files anymore to disable motion blur. Just open the game and once you're in a scenario press CTRL+F2 to toggle it on/off.

Only problem I have with this game we cannot finish the route when you go service mode it said Washington to Boston don't let us do the whole thing still getting off at Newark Airport and New Rochelle to me that's a half job is not finished I hope some of these updates they let us finish the route
The reason the engine is so quiet is because its electric-- electric trains are MUCH quieter than diesel trains.
I take the train Secaucus to NY Penn/MSG all the time! They got this down pretty much to the T!

it looks like the signal color icons block the speed restriction icons. for a split second at 20:27 you can see the speed restriction ahead, but it goes away as soon as the next signal color is displayed.

So weird to see this slice of the NEC without any NJT traffic (or for that matter PATH around Newark and Harrison). Also weird that they want you to load/unload passengers at Secaucus, which is an NJT station only where you're supposedly only stopping to let another train pass you...which...did it even pass you?

Hi Jeff. I'm a big fan of your GTA LSPDFR videos, but it's nice to see you do something different. I have filmed many trains, this also includes Amtrak's ACS-64's. I enjoyed watching this video, and hope you will make more.

My Favorite game, i play on xbox one jeffy. I got some miles under my belt 3,125mi, only got 293mi in the ACS-64. NEC Speed zones are difficult to remember.

Hey jeffy best time to use your dynamic brakes is when your on a downgrade, fiddle with the dynamics to maintain your speed going downhill. The bigger the downgrade the more dynamics your need. Its wayy better then Automatic braking losing 10 mph everytime. When you get the hang of it, you'll love dynamics going down any grade👍😁😎

From experience, it's amazing to see the express trains FLY past the platform. Also Secaucus is a beautiful station in real life, it has a great view of the NYC skyline.

The Summerset route DLC is great for that. Slow single-track route through countryside with 2 classic British locos.
