These are my settings that I ran RPCS3 with today 1st Jan 2024, latest emulator version. On my dual core Intel G6400, 2 core, 4 threads cpu (released in 2020). GTX 960 graphics. Game: Sleeping dogs. In the 2nd mission based on walking behind his friend . - With these settings: I got 12-18fps with a lot more responsiveness to controls, and i could actually play, for testing purposes. Also Rendered cut scenes are now 30-40fps, very good! I set program priority to Above Normal in task manager. ** Settings used ** CPU tab: - Preferred SPU Threads: 2 - Enable SPU Loop Detection: Disabled GPU tab: Shader Mode: - Async w/ Shader Interpreter - Number of Shader Compiler Threads: 2 Audio tab: - Audio Buffer Duration: 125 ms Emulator tab: - Max LLVM Compile Threads: 3 Advanced tab: - Maximum Number of SPURS Threads: 4 Next i may try your settings
SPU Loop Detection absolutely saves the game and as far as i can tell is the one setting that makes Skate 3 go from unplayable to playable as if you’re on the console…. BUT it completely ruins the audio and i can’t figure out how to fix that other than turning the setting off which makes it go back to running terribly
@@FairlyAverageYT Could be, I only tested both on my own rig so I would still recommend xenia over rpsc3. Though I enjoy both, xbox emulation is certainly easier and smoother than ps3 emulation. I would go for xenia for the games which are on both consoles.
Thanks bro. My laptop for some reason cannot dissipate the heat when running AVX instructions, so the temperature used to hit up to 100°C in seconds just by unpausing the emulation. Disabled core boost, temperature is now about 60-70°C. Quite low. With core boost, temperature hit 100°C in seconds. With these settings, now I can enable core boost and temperature will stay around 90-95°C. Thanks
@@XDtko it fixed itself when i got a new laptop with 16gb ram instead of 6 bro srry i think it was just 2 much for my old 1 to run correctly. imma do a vid on ikon story on my channel soon tho and show my settyings at start if u wanna sub and be on look out for it tho to see if it helps..
@@XDtko no prob and skate 3 and def jam ikon was ones i had choppy audio with till i got new laptop everything else i played was fine.. idk if that helps also
I have a shit GPU in my laptop but It can run dying light perfectly fine but on the PS3 Emulator I can't even play ratchet and clank properly just lags whole time
Your computer needs to go up to W10 and honest you should consider going for a much powerful processor. Very outdated quality for a video also i would recommend you use a better mic. You should consider using a condenser mic. Just my two cents right here.

play the not exclusive games on xenia, better performance. xbox has a pc like architecture thus better performance.

@@KaptanWintersTR Xenia is way more GPU dependent though, so players with a stronger CPU will benefit with RPCS3

@@KaptanWintersTRfor me RPCS3 barely uses my GPU, most of the time my RTX 3050 (mobile) utilization are 8% while my CPU at 100%

Games were only playable at 30fps on the entire ps3 console, to get 60 you need to modify the game
