    *ATTENTION*
    That Eb1 Chest is actually a slide that stops at G1/G#1 so no record yet, tho these F#'s are crazy!
    Shout-out to Casper for coming in clutch for this one! (He provided with isolated vocals)

      Eb1 wouldn't be his lowest. In Grow Old With You, Geoff slides down to a C#1; unless we aren't counting that.

    The Eb1 chest is actually a Gb1 (F#1). It sounds like an Eb1 because there is one layered in the instruments, as well as it being the root of the chord.

      I agree Ferny, apart from the fact that it‘s a Gb1. The most prominent pitch that I hear is a Bb1.

      @@BangYongguk-sf8ly Another way of saying F#1. They’re the same note, however they’re both specific to different keys. It depends on if a key is using sharps or flats.

    It is so fucking crazy, how Geoff has been developing not only his upper limits, but how he developed his voice in a couple years, when it comes to strengthen your full voice, but also the vocal techniques you have to become even more stylistic!!! This guy had a super unique vocal development, that no other bass singer did like him!!! He is such a versatille singer, and he runs all over the place with his voice, since the bass at the top of the range!!! I'm so glad he's my favorite singer since I first watched his cover of Misty Mountains 2 years ago, I was blown at how he did the arrangements very well, and the make-up, the outfit, the clones and the vocal performance!!!
    Wish you a very Happy and safe Halloween, my dear friend!!!🎃😈🦇🎀🎊🍭🍫🍬🌕🔥

    2:12 is just an F#1 (and Eb by piano). He might have a chest Eb1 when he gets much older, but I think it’s almost impossible for now. If he really has a chest Eb1, why hasn’t he done F1 and E1 in chest yet? His lowest recorded chest note (F#1) hasn’t been broken since 2016.

    • @hugobasilio1303
      @hugobasilio1303 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      In the case if you don't know, he actually did a slided E1 in pure chest in one of the oldest videos with his Acapella Group in Cheerlander, and he did an F1 in chest voice, with Voiceplay in Friends on the Other side, (and it was a held note, since it occurred a bit over half of a second) in Phantom of the Opera with Rachel Potter and in Daddy Sing Bass, so his lowest recorded held chest note is technically an F1.

    • @hugobasilio1303
      @hugobasilio1303 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Maybe he is already capable of pushing down to E1-D1 in pure chest at this point, but he probably doesn't feel comfortable with how it sounds. It's just a question of time, until we get to know his absolute limit. Basically, if he would go to his absolute limit, he would have no freedom to change his tone without breaking the maintaining of the sounding in chest voice.

    Are those really chest notes? or are they a subharmonic, or vocal fry or fry mix?

    • @hugobasilio1303
      @hugobasilio1303 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      All full chest down to F#1 in this song, though he has a slided F1 in this song.
      The only extended techniques here are a subharmonic E1, and chest-fry, to add effect to the vocal acting!!!
      Geoff always tends to switch from the bottom of his chest register for anything below F1/F#1, to achieve the lowest notes he can sing with quality.
      Beyond his subharmonics, he also does growl, though he doesn't use it much and a little sort of fry or chest-fry, to add effect for his sung phrases.

  • @stevegoldson67

    That C5 is 100% chest. The "like I can" right after is definitely chest, and his cadence doesn't change from "scream" to "like I can"

      @rtsbass7829  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I'm not sure about that, the more I listen to it, the more it sounds like mixed voice, that A4 was very chest-like tho, mb it is chest

    • @hugobasilio1303
      @hugobasilio1303 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It's definitely pure chest, it sounds so gritty, you can just compare that high C to the B4, in the Oggie Boogie Song, and you can tell the C5 sounds so much more screaming and fuller, than the D5 in Little Mermaid, which sounds softly.
      That being said, Geoff has the ability to go up to a B4 in pure chest, being a true bass, and has proved he can get to the 5th octave notes on a good day.
      Something like most basses, cannot do.
      Incredible and amazing!!!🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

      I can guarantee you it's 100% pure chest, his singing that F#1 without compressing or pushing, which means he is singing that note leeting it flow naturally, so it's logic it has that breathy texture, because it is VERY relaxed.
