Perfect song done by the perfect performer. It was designed to showcase Geoff's talents. This was a Broadway worthy performance and I think it's safe to say he hit god level with this one. This is why he's my favorite singer ever.
Yess you react to this!! Geoff Skellington, the Real Pumpkin King!!! 🖤💜🖤💜🖤 The only problem with this song is that it is way too short. I need more Geoff Skellington in my world!
Awesome reaction Josh. You should watch to the very end with Geoff and Voiceplay. You missed alot in this one. Snow falling on Geoff at the piano and then a little bit of behind the scenes while he was giving a speech and thank you. They also do a running thank you list to their patreons.
Voiceplay and Geoff have alot of past Halloween videos. They won't be putting out any more this year. They usually do one video per month. Every other for Geoff. And some minis/shorts videos.
Great reaction. It is my favorite song and I think he captured Jack’s duality perfectly! Halloween is the favorite holiday of both VoicePlay and Geoff. Each year VoicePlay has put out in a spooky season release. They aren’t all specifically Halloween but they all have something sort of spooky about them. I think I went through and found them all and I’m listing the ones I don’t think you’ve done. They have covered four songs from Nightmare before Christmas. You haven’t seen What’s This and Kidnap the Sandy Claws. Last year they did DingDong/Hide and Seek with Lauren Paley who made this song viral by singing it in her stairwell to scare her neighbors. They have also done Stevie Wonder’s Superstition, and I’ve Got Friends on the Other Side from Disney’s Princess and the Frog. They have two versions of Grim Grinning Ghosts from Disney’s haunted mansion. One while they were backstage between sets which is performed live. In the other they are the singing busts from the mansion. There is also a very old cover of Once Upon a Dream, I think done about the time the second Maleficent movie was released, that is haunting. Although not specifically Halloween, last year they also did in the Hall of the Mountain King from the Peer Gynt suite. It’s a classical orchestral piece with no words. But they told a story anyway of a group of trolls surrounding a cauldron adding a new ingredient each time they wanted their voices to change. It’s pretty amazing. Geoff already had done three, starting when he launched his solo channel. The first year he did Headless Horseman which was featured in a 1958 animated short by Disney. Bing Crosby sang the song in the animated cartoon the legend of Sleepy Hollow which is the story of Ichabod Crane. Later Disney put out an album featuring Thurl Ravenscroft and that is one of Geoff’s favorite singers. So when he did that song he sort of channeled his inner Thurl. That was followed by Monster Mash, and last year he did Ghost Riders in the Sky which you reacted to.
If you want to see him change octaves all in the same breath watch Oogie boogie song also from the nightmare before Christmas. Voiceplay did this and it is phenomenal.
That is a great idea that you have about a live remake of "The Nightmare Before Christmas." Hopefully someone might pitch it to Tim Burton😂 Geoff would be perfect for that lead but he definitely has to keep his great hair. Love the range he possess with his voice. Thanks for a wonderful reaction 💀💜💀🎃
Geoff's video was delayed because he and his wife had Covid and it threw their schedule into disarray. If you had watched the outro you would have seen snippets from the making of this video, showing the makeup man applying his face.
You need to let Geoff and VoicePlay videos play through to the Patreon list. You missed some cool stuff on this one after the gramophone logo. He's only been doing solo stuff since late 2020. His spooky play list includes Monster Mash, Headless Horseman, and Ghost Riders In the Sky. VP has an entire Halloween play list on their channel. They LOVE Halloween! This now makes five songs from Nightmare Before Christmas they've done. He brought in Rick Underwood to do the makeup. Rick did such a good job. It took Geoff a couple days to get all the black off, but what's two days when he spent ten years dancing and singing in green makeup as Frankenstein's Monster at Universal? LOL!
Hey 👋🏻 Josh I just watched your Journey Voiceplay did, and wanted more oldie request. Would you please react to their cover of Prince’s song Kiss. I llove that song . Hopefully you will too 🙂. I love this video and your reaction on Geoff’s video 🎃🤘🏻

Great reaction! Geoff really pulls out the stops now and then and I’m so there for it. So much to admire here.
Never stop a Geoff song, before you are sure its over, you missed out of stuff 😂
Same woth VP. ❤❤❤
But awsome reaction as always ❤❤

What they said! LOL! You need to watch until the patrons roll. Geoff and VP often have little outros after the black screen.
Love your reactions!
Enjoyed the reaction! Probably no more for Halloween, so check out his version of the Headless Horseman. Trust me!

Excellent reaction. 👏🏻
Voiceplay (and Geoff) are the kings of Halloween. There’s plenty of rabbit hole to go down. 👻
I thought I was watching the reaction of Geoff's video, but in the second half I found myself just gawking at the handsome guy's face lol.
It just dawned on me who you remined me of, you look like Jason Mamoa you could totally pull off Aquaman for Halloween.
Small correction : make up by the amazing Rick Underwood.

And Kathy creating Zero!

❤❤❤😊😊😊
You should also check out Hound + Fox's version of Jack & Sally's love song - I don't recall the title, but it's good. This is a great Geoff! Thanks.
