Shaping Machine - Butler 18" Super Shaper

Went to my frind to give the Butler its 1st cuts after full restoration. Also he machined all the parts for the automatic tool lift for the clapper box. It does work like a treat. You can not beat the old time machines that built our todays world. Hope you enjoy the video.

Brilliant job restoring the vintage shaper. I've always like Butlers but they seem to be pretty hard to get these days. I bet those 1/4" deep chips travel some distance. Cheers Tony

That's a very nice restoration. I have one of these for sale in it's original condition. Mine also has the more versatile rotary table
