A rainy start that ended in an awesome day! We got 14 trains before it was over!

- I spent Wednesday in Hamilton, Ohio with Buckeye Freight Railin` @GY51360 @AdventureswithJoeyBoats and @CSXF40PH-2Productions (Ninja Railfan) getting all the action that the CSX Toledo Sub could throw at us!
I got there before anyone else and was greeted by a NS / CSX meet right off the bat! We got a very long Southbound NS intermodal with autoracks on the rear that took the NS New Castle District to Cincinnati, Ohio. A short while later, here comes a Northbound CSX autorack train moving at a good clip! Once the CSX train cleared the crossing, the NS intermodal was still going through. It was a monster!
Then we get a long Southbound CSX mixed manifest that takes the NS New Castle District to Cincinnati.
It was followed by the CSX local that went South to switch industries South of Hamilton. It would return later in the day.
Finally, we get a very long Northbound NS mixed manifest with about every kind of car possible in it, and it has a mid-train DPU shoving things along!
I got enough trains to make 2 more videos from this trip, so make sure you are here to see them. There are a couple of surprises in those remaining trains too!

The last long mixed manifest was excellent, Scott!! I counted 148 +/- cars. I really liked the artwork on the box car! UN 1993 is Flamable Liquid N.O.S. N.O.S. means not otherwise specified. It looked to me like the bottom of the placards were white. If so, that indicates "empty, residue". Those are for viscous liquids that don't easily empty completely. If that was indeed the case, it could have been resin solution, Scott. Some of those products are 1993 while others are 1866. 😃😃😃😃❤❤❤❤

I was once staying in Hamilton at a local church families home. Our youth group from Saint Albans, WV First Baptist Church, was visiting a Hamilton Baptist Church. Was a neat city then...46 years ago.

That`s cool! Hamilton to be quite honest has gone downhill in a big way since then. Tons of industry has moved out and left plenty of empty buildings that the homeless live in now because they got nowhere else to go and they have a drug problem there too. I am always watching my surroundings when I`m up there.

You counted wrong that first NS train with the BNSF that was a double train. NS have to short locomotives. And maybe he had a DPU but that CSX in the main line 1 blocked the rumbling.

Nice rain we got all over the Cinti area yesterday, and much needed for the farmers out past Hamilton! (Remember when Hamilton had the exclamation point after its name?!😁) The train is moving on in Hamilton and I think Norfolk and the surrounding towns and villages are are trying to work together to keep from blocking the tracks- especially, and mostly for the EMS personnel. It can mean life and death. Great video Scott! 👍🏼👍🏼 (24 miles from Hamilton to Lockland, Ohio) 👍🏼
We didn`t get much rain at my house yesterday out in Clermont County. We could use it too! I do remember the exclamation point too. Not too much to be excited about in Hamilton these days though unfortunately.

Thanks Timmy! Hamilton has its good and bad spots like any other town, but this area can be "interesting" at times. I do have a CCW if you know what I mean.

Yep, we got a couple of nice days coming then back into the oven! The cars inside the autoracks have an adhesive plastic sheet on them that the dealers peel off to keep them from getting paint on them from these fools that tag the trains.

1993 placard is for diesel fuel (fuel oil), per my internet search. That mid train DPU sure sounded cool !

Yes, with the way it was raining when I got there, I wasn't even sure I was going to be able to catch the first 2 at all, but the rain slowed down and stopped pretty fast and I was able to get out and get both of them. I drove through a monsoon on my way there and I really wasn`t sure if I was going to get a thing and ended up getting 14! Lol

hey Scott have to use my backup account here due to the tube nazi's bullshit time out! apparently telling the truth on someone is a no no anymore with the goose stepping fascists! anyway 1993 is fuel oil AKA diesel fuel!! something i noticed on this one that gate only goes slow when they take the curve if they go straight it goes up normally!!
I know what you mean about speaking the truth. I`ve been in Fakebook jail many times for saying it. They were working o the gates yesterday and at one point they didn`t go up for almost a half hour. I ad one of their guys mouth off at me because he thought I was filming him when the train went by and I wasn`t. I told him to shut the #### up because I didn`t care one bit what he was doing.

Most of the time I just go where I feel like driving to. If my buddies are going to be somewhere, then I`ll meet up with them. If I`m alone I just get in the car and end up someplace! Lol
