- Here are 2 trains from 2 places very far from each other. The first train is from Friday night in Glendale, Ohio that I got when the wife and I went to dinner at the Glendale Trackside Pub. There was a clear signal for a Northbound, but after waiting 2 hours and no train came we left. However, I did get this Southbound with CSX #391 "Spirit of Dante" heritage locomotive leading.
Then there is a short video of the Deshler CPL signals at twilight, followed by a long Southbound mixed manifest. I turned the volume down 35% in the editing process to try and reduce the loud squealing from the train wheels on the curve. This is the last train from Deshler!
Thanks for watching!
Wow! Excellent catching all the trains, I like them, they're awesome, @1960gambit, Scott, thank you very much and have a nice day and night.
Morning Scott & everyone have a blessed Sunday, enjoy the last video from Deshler! Fab horn show in a no horn zone! WOW the Deshler train has to be the longest I've ever seen! Monster train. 😅❤😊👍
Good morning, Carol. Yes, that was a long one. Made me wish I had my tripod again! 😅 Have a great day!
An excellent mixed manifest to open with Scott! Long and picking up speed as it went along. It had a nice variety of freight and a good strong horn! I'm glad the engineer is safety conscious enough to blow his horn because that's the feds wrote that law. It's saved me more than once at blind intersections! If people don't like hearing train horns, they should have bought or rented somewhere else! 😃😃😃😃❤❤❤❤
I agree 100%!
@1960gambit Thank you very much, Scott! 😃😃❤️❤️
Lovely video from Deshler at Sunset with the CPLs, hate to hear that they'll be gone soon... What a lovely job from CSX at Glendale by not obeying the no horn through town, hope that the engineer got in hot water over that...
I wonder if there's any disciplinary action taken against an engineer using the horn in a "no horn zone"? Thanks for another great vid, Gambit.
Good question! I doubt there is to be honest with you because it happens at least once or twice a day. Have a great day Kenneth! 😁
I want to thank you for another spectacular video, Scott! You caught 2 amazing trains today, and I liked both very much! I'm sorry to hear they want to replace the signal lights. It's really to bad the powers to be, whomever they are, feel the need to dumb down everything. If we have people that no longer have the capacity to learn new things, this country's in worse shape than I thought it was! What is the world coming to? I apologize for my rants. I guess I'm just getting fed up with it. I sure hope you and Mrs Gambit have a wonderful weekend, and please be safe out there. We'll chat again later. 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I agree! You should always be learning. Have a great weekend Gary!
@@1960gambit Thank you, Scott ¡!!😃😃😃❤️❤️❤️
The fabulous mixed manifest knocking down the CPL was 184+/- cars long, Scott! It was amazing. I enjoyed seeing the vintage B&M cars. I wonder how many miles they've traveled? It certainly must be a lot! Thank you for the awesome catch, my friend. 😃😃😃😃😃❤❤❤❤❤
You're very welcome Gary! 😁

Good made video, mr 1960gambit.
Safe in your brains the old CPL signals that is old stuff. For the safety on the railway the new signals are the best. When the railway companies in Europa going installer the new system ( ERTMS ) all signals out off order. The train driver see the signal on the display in the cabin of the train. Thx for this topvideo 🚆🚆👍👍💪💪👌🚆 in Glendale and Deshler Ohio.
Greet from Zandvoort the Netherlands.
That's the way it works here now too with PTC. They have in cab signalling for the crews to see as well as the block signals.
WOW! That wonderful roar of hard working diesel powered locomotives - and train horns in Glendale! SWEET!
Even though I live in the Ozarks, having watched your videos since you began your channel and Jaw Tooth's videos for over 7 years, I've grown fond of the old B&O railroad signals and the old train depots. When they took out that beautiful train depot in Deshler, that was a sad, sad thing. Other depots have burned while others have been demolished, so it was great to see that the one in Hamilton was moved to a new location. Too much of our history is being erased when it is still quite functional and worth keeping. I'm with you on the sentiments of some railroad and government decisions when it comes to our historic railroads.
DANG! That last train was longer than a Texas rattlesnake!
Great video, Scott!
Sorry I haven't watched in a few weeks. I've been pretty busy doing research and preparing to do a major interview on my Rumble channel. I'll let you know when that happens. I'm gonna do my best to watch your videos regularly because they're a great respite from the insanity that is going on all over earth. God bless you and all that you put your hands, mind, and heart to, in Jesus' name, Scott!
Thanks Mike! Yes, I prefer the old stuff too. The Deshler station had to be torn down because it was falling apart. When that loaded coal car hit it years ago, it destroyed the foundation to the point that it was in a several pieces near the point of impact. CSX offered to sell it for a dollar to anyone that wanted it, if they could move it off the property. They got no takers and after waiting a couple of years, it had to go.
Let me know when your interview thing is going to happen. I`m not on Rumble but I should be able to find it.
I love it🔥🔥🔥🔥💪👍. HORN SHOW in Glendale, Ohio. I miss those days! I go to Wyoming Ohio and Lockland a lot just so I get Horns, Baby Horns!💪💪💪
I hope that someday that no horn zone is gone.
Amazing video, Scott. I love the old signals. Keep up the great work! Thanks!
Thanks! Will do!
I love the 'Wrong Way' sign.
I watch at least 3 adds every time.
I love 'olde' but then again, they run steam any more.
I wonder what it would take to *buy* one of those old signals. Wouldn't it be cool to have one on your lawn?
'G' is definatly an olde New England car. Along with Maine Central and Pan Am..
Amusingly I had to come down to Washington DC to see / record them.
Thank Gray! I have a couple of friends that have old signals in their yards, and they are actually operating. I want to do a video of them sometime because they look really cool!
I do like Glendale Ohio because it’s historic, has great areas to sit and eat. Also the place I would take my children back in the 1990’s to watch trains. 👍👍🙏❤️💪🔥
I totally agree!
Just A friendly reminder I will be in Glendale next week on Monday the 30th hoping to meet you and jawtooth I tried to get in touch with jawtooth but he never got back with me .
Thanks for reminding me. I will let him know. He`s tough to get ahold of! Lol
Great video Scott. Super long train. Horns in Glendale. Historic signals. Take care, stay safe. ❤
Thanks Margie, have a great day! 😁
Hi Scott does CSX or NS get fined if they blow there horns in Glendale unless it's an emergency.
I really doubt it. I would think the cops would have to write them a ticket and in that town it will never happen. They won't write a ticket for people running the stop sign on the other side of the tracks from the station, and that happens 24/7/365!
Brilliant I just loved the horn in the no horn zone. I have a funny sense of humour. Still smiling yet. Another enjoyable video. Many thanks. Uk yellow weather warning from midnight tonight till midnight tomorrow night. Torrential rain with flooding.
Wow! We need that rain here desperately. We are on track to have the driest September since they started keeping records in the 1800s. It hasn't rained at my house in more than a month!
Scott that last train in Desler that thing had to be over 2 miles long, but anyway, my friend another awesome video and as always you stay safe out there and watch your back and we’ll see you on the next one
Oh yeah, that would be a great video for you to put together in Glendale before it was a no Horn zone. Make it about a 30 minute or more long video. Yeah, that would be bad to the bone.
You got that right, Timmy! Have a great week!
I`ll have to try and dig up those old videos. They aren`t much to look at but at least you could see how it was less than 7 years ago!
Sir! 193 cars, sir! Whew!!😊
yes the g on the box car stands for guilford.they were purchased by pam am railroad
That`s what I was thinking. I knew they were from up in the Northeast area of the country.
Do you ever follow the Toledo Sub south of Deshler? The next town south has an at-grade crossing with NS and I&O, and the I&O has trackage rights south to Lima, I think. Still more CPL signals and the track is fairly easy to follow..
No, I have not done that. Deshler is 3 hours from home, so I really just go there because I want to get as much action as I can and with the 2 lines crossing there it works out the best for me. Which town are you talking about?
@1960gambit Leipsic is the next town south with the NS crossing and I&O. Ohio highway 65 generally follows the tracks down to Lima.
Good Sunday morning my friend, I hope you’re weekend is going good. Great video this morning, will you and the gang be heading anywhere to film this week? If so please be safe out there and God bless🙏🏻🇺🇸
Good morning Bill. I have to get a hold of JT and see what he's up to this week. I'd like to go LaGrange again before the weather gets lousy!
@@1960gambit you know Scott I hope we get some snow this winter, I like to see trains in the snow. What ever y’all do be safe and careful out there and have a blessed week 🇺🇸🙏🏻
I remember when 110 car unit coal trains were long. 😂❤
I do too. It`s insane how long these trains are today!
Hey Scott, remember the old B & O signals in Glendale, Ohio. I am with you my friend🙏🙏👍❤️
Right on! The old stuff has character!
@@1960gambit indeed 👍
Morning Scott long trains today I've seen a NS it's waiting for a southbound I'm waiting for it too
Very cool! I hope you get it soon!
I did get it 119 cars
Awesome video Scott! Monster catch..twilight..and highlighting the old signals..FANTASTIC!!
🚂🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃💯👍🇺🇸
Thank you very much, Jim! I lime the old signals more than the new stuff. They have character and history! Have a great day!
Excellent video. I hste seeing those CPLs go
Thank Rick! I hate to see them go too!
I thought Glendale was a horn free zone
It is, but every now and then the engineers will blow the horn there. I don't know if they forget or they are new guys to the line.
So retro love it … good memories sir we are blessed
Thanks Kim!
So cool!
Thanks!
1620; Track needs a greaser.
They need them on all those connecting tracks. The squeal there is unreal!
Awesome!!👍🏼👍🏼💯🇺🇸
Thanks Dale! 😁
spirit of dante!
It sure is!
