Still the best video on TH-cam!!! This is such a great technique. I am able to deploy two Voyager Vaqueros left and right handed simultaneously. But can’t get the Recon Ones reliably, probably too short. It is probably the safest way to open the Espada XL one handed. Thanks again!
I carry the xl espada with the g10 handle. It is in my rotation. It fits in my 501s front right pocket . Not uncomfortable at all . I love the positive lockup when I open that bad boy . I adjust or tighten the screws on all my knives. After I get the screws the way I like them I put a drop of super glue or nail polish on them . It keeps them from backing out .
That sounds cool, I thought about trying to weld it 😂, that's 1 reason I like spyderco karahawk because the Emerson is apart of the blade. But tbh I prefer carrying the talwar and the holdout from cold steel. The holdeout I'm trying to get custom scales that offer better slip protection.
That makes me happy, it's not hard and definitely not easy 😆 but after practice it's so simple. Please let me know if you need anymore tips on getting it perfect I'd be happy to help.
Very nice it work well with my Spartan by Cold Steel. I need a little more practice but the first 8 out of 10 times went great in the first minute of trying it. It time I'll be 10 out of 10 or 100% with it.
That's awesome bro, took me a little bit to get it down but we are creating force from the hand turning over all the way and then you will feel your forearm muscles used. Keep your arm bent from bicep to forearm 90 degrees and elbow 3 Inches away from your side. When you do it at the same time move your elbow inward towards your stomach while hand turn over. I like to think of it like gears working together. I'll share more with you just need a person to demonstrate with. Thanks again brother.
Wrist flicking and wave seem to be the best ways to open the Espada XL one handed, closing it one handed is easy once the tri ad lock breaks in. For a smaller one like a Luzon Large I do a reverse flick on the fuller combined with a wrist flick or just wave.
I found out how to open it slowly with one hand and no flick btw. If you just put your index finger on the tang (while closed), put your thumb on the thumb plate corner, and put the rest of your fingers on the handle you can slowly turn the blade out safely. And to close it with one hand safely, hold the top of the handle downwards slightly, and the bottom upwards slightly, and with your index finger in the finger groove press the tri ad lock. The blade will fall only 10% closed if your holding it correctly and the ricasso of the blade won't hit your index finger, but your finger and the ricasso act as a safety in case it does touch you. Then get your fingers out of the way and use momentum to get it to shut all the way.
I think it's a reverse camera that makes the clips appear to be on the left side ,a lot of videos is see made in cars be like that also 💰 The technique he use is good and works great ,much better than swinging your arm and possibly losing you knife because of it being to far out away from your body. His method is much better and efficient.
Ewwwww this was so lit!!! Thanks for this, now I'm going to look into getting one of these! and using this tech. Im also inspired to do vids as well to on Kung-fu. Thanks for the inspiration!
@@kungfulovenyc4273 yeah I'm wanting to get that butterfly knife and I'm definitely going to get the trailmaster with the cpm 3v steel. What are you planning on getting?
@@adamarthur9672 solid choices, the butterfly knife has a lot of people interested I noticed. The trail master is a monster of a knife. I'm looking at the drop point voyager to add to the voyager collection, I'm definitely getting the fully serrated hold out and talwar. I am also seriously considering the oyabun limited since it's limited to 3500. Lol so excited 😆.
@@kungfulovenyc4273 yeah I may have to add the xl drop point voyager, I already own the clip point and the tanto version lol. And the oyabun does look pretty rad 😎. I was a little bit disappointed in the prices of the talwar and hold outs though.

Yup I have a Large Espada that had a loose thumb disk when I received it.
Nice video and opening technique.
Thanks a lot bro, 1 thing I'd really prefer if they made it apart of the knife like Emerson wave but maybe that would be a copyright problem.
Beautiful video all around!
@ALMIGHYKEEF thank you so much
Very nice technique! I was looking for a way to quickly open it! Hopefully this will be what I was looking for!
Hey brother, I hope so if you have any difficulties please let me know so I can help you through them.

You know what they say bro don't bring a knife to a sword fight 🤔😆
I’d get this knife if it were bigger.
