Lynn and Ron working together equals the best knife work I've ever seen. I've seen Ron (not to mention his wife and legendary father-in-law) doing traditional Filipino knife work, which has application, but when I've seen him work with Lynn it is all about the down and dirty reality where you don't sacrifice your off-hand with parries or try to catch the other person's blade hand and do fancy disarming techniques that could get you seriously wounded or killed if you aren't dead on accurate when real life-or-death pressure is on. They focus on quick cuts to the nearest target with their longest weapon, as Bruce taught.

Hey Mike, I most say I watch Lynn put on 7 to 8 five to ten min. sparring demos with only five min breaks in between each demo. Lynn is actually in great condition. Not only was he sparring with Ron threw out the demos but he was also giving speeches as he was fighting. I was very impressed.
Heh, I see a lot of Escrima/Kali fundamentals in what Lynn preaches. He knows what he's talking about. Sparring with him must be fun. I hope you were able to do that with him that day.

I would do stuff like this with spydercos compression lock and benchmade axis lock. Those are plenty strong enough and easier to use, nice video.

They are using metal blades. They are unsharpened but imagine how bad it would hurt to have someone hit you in the knuckles with a piece of metal.

craze wolfe Most of those don't have the reach. The Spyderco Police, Military, and Tatanka are probably the best. Benchmades are short.
