What a lovely story. He’s not only a really good musician but a natural story teller. ❤️❤️

I'm so inspired by his work. Truly amazing! I recorded a song of him and Marketa Irglova, Falling Slowly, and before then I have no idea who's the singer and I hardly even know that there's a movie which where the song came from, but the piece is so beautiful! I wonder why I didn't search for the name of the singers or the history(movie) of that song. I'm so uplifted! Thank you Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova for creating or composing such a wonderful song!

What a great perspective to hear, and really says something about his upbringing and how that flies in the face of what we in America deem to be a "normal" childhood environment. It seemed to work out well for him, though, because he seems to possess a measured perspective of life, at least based off of these interviews. Off Camera is now my favorite interview show on the Internet.

Glen actually had some issues because of his father drinkin, he discuss it a bit deeper in the film documentary The Swell Season. Anyway he has music in his veins and he's so generous about it. I saw him three times in concert in Italy and he's one TRUE musician and artist. He breathes music. Amazing man.
