@@Prodigy_ad it does. 5 cylinder is such an amazing and rare sound, the older ones are even better
Scubie dude isn’t launching hard or shifting hard. Lol, I get it. He’s not tearing up his car for a video. Respect Scubie guy.
Subaru guy isn’t even close to limiter on any gear-shift…
Rs3 is a serious machine love them
M140i
A serious mom car
Slicker than carwow.
Spot on about the gearbox & modern cars being souless.
We need a "Gapperoni" t-shirt. ASAP
Greets from Australia brother
Even though the Subaru is so much lighter, the torque delivery and the dsg gearbox is what makes the RS3 so fast.
I’d take the subaru any day rather than the soulless box of modern rubbish
Handshift means working for the driver. In automatic it's the car who drives. Respect !
I've got a 360bhp STI WR1 and there's nothing like it in terms of driving... Don't get me wrong it's a rocket but you just feel so connected whilst driving it, it feels so nimble and direct whereas a lot of modern cars are overweight and disconnected. Don't get me started on the gearbox, I know dsg's are much quicker but you can't beat a rifle bolt accurate 6 speed manual.
I had wrx back in the day blob Eye, 2003 ,it was a black beauty, stock, with 3,half inch straight through, kakimitsu exhaust, what beast of a sound they make,240 hp, nice video Jamie, now I love my bmw E93,335I, MANUAL black,i love it............
And I’ll STILL choose manual every single time tho🤷🏾♂️🤙🏾
Been an EVO owner it's a shame it couldn't make it, I would have loved to have seen that, still great content as always jamie
Yo Jamie, you need to find a small track like top gear test track and do OG lap battles, that’s where old stripped out cars might come good ;)
Exactly what I was thinking, time attack on a top gear style test track🙏, would make the OG channel even greater than it already is 💜🤙
Thank you for including Trap Speeds! Helps represent a car’s total speed better IMO than times which can vary to a much greater extent based on launch. Traps help you see what kind of speed the car generates in non-standing start situations also!!! Excellent content OG.
I am surprised with the scooby Doo! My 2009 TTs mk2 is only on a REVO stage one and that does 0-60mph in 4.2 secs.Great races loved it.Think it’s just old technology vs new 😢
What power figres is your revo map stage one designed to make?
I have a TTS mk2 but on a 63, never had a 0-60 test but the map makes 300 bhp and 420 nm soposidly...it feels bloody quick though
@@paulstevens9409 333bhp 450 NM RamAir induction, miestershaft GT sports exhaust running V power fuel, carbon cleaned.NGK R plugs and APR coil pack.DSG gear box.Got some weight savings too because of the exhaust and upgraded honey cone grill 😊
@@strikeeaglemodels1588 You are pretty much in RS territory with that power and torque, yeah mines the DSG too, can't really get any better apart from no gearbox at all...tesla style!
@@paulstevens9409 Yeah your correct mine is basically like a stock TT RS Paul 👍
I'd love to see how they both do a twisty circuit personally - i think the scoob would match its times. Audi RS3 are beasts tho
Haven't seen the vid yet but i love these og battles
Should do a track battle, certain cars will be quick in a straight line but not all of them iwll handle well.
I'll still take the scoob all day every day
Strom / Rick should get the Subaru mapped by Andy Forrest up in Scotland 🤘🤘🤘
That RS3 is awesome! I'm happy Audi brought back the five cylinder. Definitely an Audi signature sound.
Really wanted the scooby to win
Yea ok old jdm’s ain’t as fast as modern cars but there so much more fun, and nothing beats the sound of a subi!
Ive had a rolling race with the Subaru in my m135i, proper fast car was no competition for him. Proper nice man
Mlites are good eh
Issue is power band, Subaru’s ej257’s have such a peaky power curve, nothing happens below 4000 rpm and they fall on there face past 7000. Whereas those BMW’s and this Audi are spooling up at like 1800 rpm and hold right until like 7500 rpm. JDM ej207 version 8 is a whole different beast, Subarus best engine to date hands down.
I think a pretty built b5 s4/rs4 vs that rs3 would be a fun race to watch.
Driving an RS3 is more like playing xbox than actually driving change my mind
Wow, stage 1 rs3 moving like that, awesome 😎
I do love an old scooby and i know I'll have one eventually.
theyre inflating like mad
I had a GC8 WRX back in 2001 and I STILL wish I never sold it. Loved it but I went for an MR2 Turbo 😬
I prefer Garys WRX wagon to this one 👌
I still miss mine from 2007. Was only running 280bhp but felt great and never went wrong
I own a standard Impreza bugeye WRX and I absolutely love it. Golf R’s and Audi RS’s are slow so I never even bother racing them! 😜
For pure driving fun, scooby every day over the Audi
Bullshits
Kinda the reason why there are so many big power cars around these days. They are so unengaging that people need to stuff so much power into them to feel a thrill. A car with 3 pedals and limited driver aids wit far less power is much more focused and driver oriented.
Scooby sounds sick 🔥
We are not gonna lie, we are here for the Subaru
Shame for the Subaru but damn I’d still pick that over the Audi.
I drive a 3000GT had it 13 years,, it spanks 95 % of whats on the road and is full of drama and fun doing it, I find the new stuff all a bit samey and washing machine like.
I don’t understand how so many Subaru owners cannot launch their own cars (Subaru wrx Owner before the comments)
A 12.8 for that power is ridiculously shit. Either he’s sandbagging the power figure or he’s a very bad straight line racer
Standard 280bhp classic type r can do 12.8😖😖😖
Probably doesn't want to destroy his clutch
15 years ago that stripped out Scooby woulda been one of the kings, but sadly that day has now passed…….
Long live the King 😎
RS3 👑
Dang i saw these cars in the last video. My man's is making multiple videos same day. What a life! Jealous of the JOB brotha
would still prefer owning the scooby though 😉 sick video jamie!
I haven’t checked in on you in a while bro. But seeing this video it’s no surprise why you have 400k subs. Sick quality vids and wicked content 👍🏼
The RS3 is mad lol, and that was the full car. Imagine if stripped
But Subaru is manual and 15 years old
@@mohamedvaliyullah5388 hence why it got smoked. Should’ve lined it up with something alike
I wanted that scooby to win
Get them on a wet gravel track blasting through a forest and see what happens. 😂
Seriously though. Modern DSG’s are super impressive. But I would rather walk in my garage and see a Scooby with rally pedigree than a 5 door Audi hatchback
So cool to see Mr Strom himself on your channel. Never expected that until I saw him post about it on his instagram
The real versus had too be, the wagon sti
Love that RS3... Amazing the power that comes out of the 2.5.
