4:10 what a great scene. A lot of people wonder why Billy was chosen champion and Freddy wasn’t, well if you think about it, if Freddy had the choice between Shazam and the sins, he would choose the sins because he would want to get revenge on his bullies and everyone who looked down on him.
Billy, even though he shows off and was cocky, he was focused more on using his powers to help others including himself, he actually stands up to bullies and enemies instead of trying to be like one. Billy is just a little more mature and more pure of heart, he just doesn’t realize it.

Physics doesn't work in these superhero fiction...
I mean it wasn't falling for that long tbh. And they were all in their seats minus the guys in the front, I think a few of them would be dead(aka the guys at the front) but its likely that the people in their seats would only really suffer from stuff like whiplash or a couple broken bones from bracing against the seats to keep them from falling.
Mythbusters did one a while ago in season 2-3 where they drop buster and a bunch of other dummies from a considerable hight in braced and non braced positions with stickers that reveal if a certain amount of Gs was reached, both braced and unbraced survived but unbraced had more damage and one death and then they did it themselves to prove how bracing could save you.
His powers come from magic. He can break a few rules.

Similar, but instead of hitting the ground and stopping instantly, he can slow it down between his outstretched arms until it's next to his face, granted it's a short distance and a huge object but it does reduce the impact slightly. Like catching a ball, your hands go back with the ball slightly, vs it hitting a wall.

I love how WB/DC can make dark thriller films and light-hearted films like this one. Honestly, I am genuinely happy to be a DC fan. No matter what ppl say... I really love how they’re able to give us adult films like Joker, The Dark Knight, Man of Steel, Constantine, and family movies like Aquaman, Wonder Woman, and Shazam. I love my DC. My family made it our casual hangout movie on Christmas week just like we did for Home Alone movies. Merry Christmas and Happy new year fellas. God Bless.

It's because shazam power are based on magic not science because of magic science doesn't apply on him/his powers(read this somewhere,not sure where). That's why glass didn't shatter

I feel for Freddy. He raises some good points...
The only problem is, he encouraged Billy to use his powers for material gain. He tested his limits to dangerous extents (even setting him on fire without consent) and all the while, uploaded the videos onto his personal channel.
Hell, him asking Billy to show up for him (as Shazam) is yet another example of his selfishness. Sure, he needs friends, but why not ask Billy to show up as BILLY?
Freddy is all take and no give and for him to compare Billy to the Bryers is ridiculous. Billy doesn't delight in watching other people suffer. He's self-absorbed and withdrawn, but he's not a bully.

Guys, it's a superhero movie. Physics works differently in these movies.
Not to mention all of Shazam’s powers are magic based, even the strength focused ones. It’s entirely possible that different physics can come into play when he uses his strength.
After all, we have even the Flash whose Speedforce prevents dangerous force from forming after going so fast. In this movie, Shazam(s) moves similarly to the Flash, able to grab civilians during a hyperspeed run without hurting them.
Like, many movies break basic physics, not necessarily Superhero movies themselves. ;)

Your argument is flawed.
Billy needed to be told that so he could've become a true hero, but Freddy was absolutely exaggerating here. Billy didn't become a bully at all. It truly was just jealousy clouding Freddy and he wasn't entirely right in this scene. Which is good, because characters shouldn't be just right or wrong or good or bad.
How was he wrong though?
Whether it stops suddenly on Shazam or on the concrete doesn't matter. It still stopped in the same amount of time. So it's basically like Shazam did nothing but show off how strong he is when he caught the bus.

Surprisingly the bus with so much kinetic energy and mass falling from such a height ,the front window didnt break and the window glass had just cracks.The glass must be really tough to withstand weight of whole bus,passangers plus collision impact with Shazam.Enjoyed the movie though i feel the actor looks more mature with sudden transition.Could have picked a slightly young actor though his acting is cool.Agreed its a movie but directors directing big budget movies should check all things in the movie and ponder if they are reasonable at least even hypothetically
