Most actual robbers tend not to shoot someone unless as a last resort, they'd rather threaten and intimidate someone before actually spilling blood (even so, if someone's pointing a gun at you, never give them a reason to shoot, because they will if provoked). Not to mention that there's still the cultural stigma against harming women and children, who the robbers also likely viewed as less of a threat compared to the well-built adult male who may or may not have superpowers.
Honestly this was one of the best superhero movies in recent years. It feels like it actually has some soul in it, like the people that made it actually wanted it to be fun. I'll take this over the normal broody DC movies or the quip infested MCU any day.

He probably had no doubt in his mind. I mean especially for a kid whom the Wizard considers to be “pure of heart,” kids don’t truly change who they are underneath. Read the concept notes from Zack Snyder on his social media posts. Man had plans introduce the Green Lantern corp and Martian Manhunter in Justice League. Darkside butchering Stephenwolf at the end of JL1 for his failure. No Suicide Squad , each justice league hero having their own film, the teen titans. And not another batman origin film, with Deathstroke as the main villain for batman
amazo88 there’s a difference, with Hawkeye and Black Widow their backstories are simple enough to get across in simple dialogue and still make them interesting, with Spider-man everybody knows his backstory and with Black Panther the mystery of his culture in Civil War was one of the things that made his movie good as it allowed them to show everything in Wakanda for the first time. With Flash, Cyborg and Aquaman their backstories are too complex to not dive deeply into them before you introduce them especially with Cyborg who requires something beforehand to help build pathos in JL we just see him as Cyborg we don’t get to know him before what happened so you get less emotional investment, with Flash they give you two brief appearances (one without dialogue at that) then suddenly you’re meant to feel sorry for him because his dad is in jail with no emotional buildup to why and how it’s effecting him as a character and as for Aquaman they could’ve did what BP did and hint at Atlantis so the reveal in his own movie is even grander but no they have an entire poorly CGI’ed fight scene in there in Justice League between him and a badguy with less depth than a microscopic shot glass

Billy had SO much fun when trying to figure out what he could do as Shazam/Captain Marvel, like you'd expect from a kid who found out he can become the World's Mightiest Mortal with the utterance of a single word, and you feel that energy from Zachary Levi when he depicts Billy transformed. :)

bRUh Cause there are some Marvel fans that go out of their way to hate dc, particularly a few years ago as it was quite easy to make fun of the films. Now that they’re on the upstreak it’s a little harder. It wasn’t meant to be directed at every marvel fan, just the ones that hate every other superhero genre film that isn’t owned by disney XD which given the scene will most likely be none once they own every company in existence in a decade or so

He probably had no doubt in his mind. I mean especially for a kid whom the Wizard considers to be “pure of heart,” kids don’t truly change who they are underneath. However, Billy definitely turned things around and proved himself worthy of Shazam’s powers when he realized his true mother purposely abandoned him.
Billy just realized his powers so he would've considered that a learning experience. As odd as it may be.

Could you imagine the possibilities of Shazam if the DCEU was consistent since Man of Steel? Imagine every hero having it's own movie(Superman, WW, Batman, Flash, Shazam and Aquaman) and then Justice League movie being about Green Lantern and some space bad guy. (Cyborg for me is better as a Teen Titan)

Man had plans introduce the Green Lantern corp and Martian Manhunter in Justice League. Darkside butchering Stephenwolf at the end of JL1 for his failure. No Suicide Squad , each justice league hero having their own film, the teen titans. And not another batman origin film, with Deathstroke as the main villain for batman

amazo88 there’s a difference, with Hawkeye and Black Widow their backstories are simple enough to get across in simple dialogue and still make them interesting, with Spider-man everybody knows his backstory and with Black Panther the mystery of his culture in Civil War was one of the things that made his movie good as it allowed them to show everything in Wakanda for the first time. With Flash, Cyborg and Aquaman their backstories are too complex to not dive deeply into them before you introduce them especially with Cyborg who requires something beforehand to help build pathos in JL we just see him as Cyborg we don’t get to know him before what happened so you get less emotional investment, with Flash they give you two brief appearances (one without dialogue at that) then suddenly you’re meant to feel sorry for him because his dad is in jail with no emotional buildup to why and how it’s effecting him as a character and as for Aquaman they could’ve did what BP did and hint at Atlantis so the reveal in his own movie is even grander but no they have an entire poorly CGI’ed fight scene in there in Justice League between him and a badguy with less depth than a microscopic shot glass
