@matthewwright9217 You understand my personal flying style. My first flight at this airport. The trick to landing without engines is to imagine that you're flying a hang glider; then it's easy.

@@skies6546 I find S-turns in a 747 is not as easy as in a smaller plane. Turning earlier will put you too high. Flying slower is OK as long as you are overshooting your landing point - but then you have to dive down to burn off more energy to hit your aiming point, which means you will go faster. Remember that headwind will reduce as you go lower which could cause you to stall if you are going too slow. Energy loss increase as V-squared, so I find it better to manage energy loss through speed adjustments - but maybe that's just me. IRL th-cam.com/video/9nKstzGHfuE/w-d-xo.html

@@CreativeRealityAU could have easily done S swerves on approach, or turned earlier and do a slow airspeed approach
