    Thank you very much. Aspiring writer ako na may mga characters na architects and engineers kaya nag-seself study ako. Yet hiindi ako magaling sa math. At medyo hirap makasunod sa pagmemorize ng mga numbers. Pero I noticed hindi ganun kahirap ang computations sa pag-estimate. More on geometry lang pala. Lxwxh. At may nadadag na thickness. Akala ko dati may sin, cosign, etc pa. Thank you very much. Mabusisi din pala mag-estimate. Pero worth it na rin kesa magpatayo ng kulang pala sa budget. Mas makakatipid. Very informative. Kudos to engineers and architects who makes informative videos like this. Now I can see some mistakes sa bahay at mga bahay ng mga kapitbahay namin which I hope one day maayos din. Thank you very much.
    Anyways. I hope one day makagawa ka din ng structural design for a skyscraper or a mall na may mga condo units sa taas.☺️

    Salute to your organized, well explained and easy to understand estimates for the earthworks. I just have some clarification on the volume displaced by the columns and walls up to the FFL where you perhaps forgot to consider. Thanks

    parang di nasali ang concrete volume of column from top of footing-ngl to determine the backfilling. if im not mistaken ang na compute only is the: footing, tie beam and gravel bed. the column is missing.

    good eve engr. tanong lang po about sa backfill bakit po tau nag cut sa porch and fill naman sa ibang areas?.
    at paano po malalaman ung elevation NGL?
    lastly po, paano po malalaman base sa actual ung elevation between NGL and Finish floor level? mostly po kasi sa mga plano "varies" po nakalagay.
    Pasensya na po engr. Dpa po kasi ako masyadong familiar about construction.

      NGL is a Natural Grade line or Undisturbed Soil.
      For the sake of Sample Estimate I assume na Na UNDISTURBED yung ating lupa therefore yung NGL natin siya narin ang magsilbing Finished Ground Line. Sa mga plan nilalagay ni Varies dahil meaning hindi nila sigurado kung gaano kalalim yung Tambak or Disturbed Soil. Sa design kasi anh basehan ng lalim ng hukas ay sa NGL dahil hindi narin pwedeng i rest yung ating Footing sa tambak always below NGL.
      ENTRY PORCH
      Elevated ito ng 0.15m from Finish ground line.
      Ang kapal ng Slab or S.O.G ay 0.1m Gravel Bed 0.1m in total 0.2m ang kailangan lng natin na Elevation from FGL ay 0.15 meaning kailangan natin naghukay or mag Cut ng Lupa para ma attain natin yung 0.15m elevetion na Elevation ng FFL sa Entry Porch.
      Cut height = 0.20m - 0.15m = 0.05m or 2 inches.

    Sir question, doon po sa 13:53. Sa Backfilling and Compaction, san niyo po nakuha yung 9.62 na volume of Gravel? Doon po kasi sa gravel bedding, yung nakuha niyo po is 18 cu.m. Sorry if medyo nalito lang po, hopefully you can answer my question. Thank you!

    Good afternoon po engineer, ask ko lang po regarding sa pagsolve natin ng backfilling. Saan po nakuha yung volume of gravel na 9.62? I computed it po kasi based sa mga nakuha natin it should be 10.something po.

    Sir, ask ko lang po kung cover ng gravel bed yung allowance na naka-set para doon sa excavated part for formwork ng footing.

      Yes po kasama sa lalagyan ng graba pero kung masiyado ng malapad kahit wag lagyan lahat atleast 100mm mulas sa mismong footing pwede na
