    I think the hook length (if necessary) should reflect in the plan para kita agad at para hindi na magcompute at malito pa si estimator/QS.

      Yes Idol, May Staad foundation para sa Design ng Footing and RCDC para sa Design ng super Structure.
      Yung istaad itself ay para sa Structural Analysis, kaya may separate plug-ins ito para sa design.

    ask ko lang boss dun sa Cut length ng Footing 1 ang ginamit nyo pong length don is 6meters then ang lumabas pang ni divide yung 96pcs. sa 6meters is 16pcs. bakit nakalagay po dun eh 16pcs of 12mm x 7.5? kasi kung 7.5 po yung ginamit meron po syang waste na 1.5meters. then kung 6 meters po talaga yun 16pcs. wala syang waste san po galing yung yung waste ng 16pcs na ni minus sa F-3??

      F-1 1.1m po, mas makakatipid kung gagamit ng 7.5m dahil bitin po yung 6m
      Dinivide ko po sa 6 dahil sa 7.5m makakakuha tayo ng 6pcs na 1.1m at 0.9m po ang wastage ng bawat piraso ng 7.5m

    @14:26 For footing F3 cutting length required 0.9m, pero young wastage sa F1 is only 0.82m (see @12:15 mali po young 0.9m)... Kulang po...
    Pero maganda sana if may same na size. However, I usually go for the least wastage sa rebars.

      Mali po kayo Sir, F1 cut length 1.1 sa 7.5m po natin nakuha so makakakuha po tayo ng 6pcs. na 1.1m sa 7.5 so ang wastage po 7.5m - 6(1.1) = 0.9m

      @@ARONJAMESGARCIA Ay sorry, nka focus ako sa 6.82 tapos minus sa 6. Nakalimutan kong e-multipy by 1.1pa.

      1pc. Po na bakala yan na may haba na 6m. kasi yung result sa naunang computation ay 11.66pcs. tapos ginawa nating 12pcs. Kaya naging (1pcs 6m bawas nating yung 0.66 na galing sa 11.66 para makuha yung sobra na 0.44 yang 0.44 pcs. naman na yan ay imumultiply natin sa haba ng bakal na gimamit which is 6m para makuha kung ilang pirasong 1m ang magiging sobra.

      Same lng naman Idol, pero kapag ang lubas na result ay hook not needed, obligado ka parin maglagay ng hook para nakayakap yung bottom at top bars at para , and add chair bars para hindi mag sag yung top bars

    Engr Aron, @6:54, paano mo po nacompute yung 175 mm for F-3 given this formula of ld = (800 - 2(75)-200)/2 using C2 width na 200 mm, result po ng sa akin is 225 mm which is greater than the ld.. Thank you Engr..

      Tama po kayo 200mm po kung yung icoconsider natin ay yung isang sides lng along 200mm na size ng column but we need to consider also yung isang side along 300mm na size ng column
      ld= (800-2(75)-300)/2 = 175mm

      Since we only need 70pcs. na may cut length na 1m ang makukuha natin na 1m sa 12pcs. na 12mmx6m ay 72pcs
      Meaning meron tayong wastage na 2pcs. na 1m or 1pc. na 2m.

      Sa footing 3, ang Column niya is 200mm x 300mm, dili 250mm bai...
      so (800-2*75-200)/2= 225... no hooks needed
      (800-2*75-300)/2 = 175... need hooks

    Sir my professor told me na bending the hooks less than 90° will compromise the strength of the steel. So he requires na if maglalagay ng hook 90° lang. Idk if that's true since I'm still a student and haven't experience doing it personally.

      Meron po tayong seismic hook na 135 deg bend. And nagkakaroon ng testing ng bending to test kung ang bakal ay kaya ibend up to 135 deg. now kung may crack yung bakal after bending hangang 135 deg. Ibig sabihin bagsak po ang bakal kahit ito ay pumasa sa Tesile test

      Yung 16 pcs. Po buo po yun na 12mm x7.5m para sa Footing 1 kasama na diyan yung wastage na 16pcs.x0.9m pero ibabawas natin ito sa F3 para hindi madoble yung bakal na oorderin

    Hi Engr! Ask lang regarding sa Hook Length at 7:52 16db vs 9db, if kukunin natin kung ano mas mahaba, 16db ang ang mas mahaba. bakit 9db parin ung kinuha mo engr? thanks po

      You can also 16db as long as mas mahaba sa value ng required which is 23mm 9db can accomodate 23mm.

    Hello Engineer, pwde ba kita makontak? Ask ko lng if natanggap ka ng consultations sa labas.. Architect ako for quite some time, and plan ko mangontrata narin. Gusto kita maging partner bilang project manager at Q.S sa mga magiging project ko sana start tayo sa small residential.. diko kasi kaya isabay ang design at construction, kasi design and build sana ako.. at wala ako experience in methodology.

      Yung first formula mo idol instead of L-2cc-hook dapat L-2cc+2hook yung second i'll try to analyze kasi parang Development Lenght + Hook yan ng Beam.

      Kuha ko na Idol yung Second Formula mo.
      Kinonsider yung Arc Lenght or yung ma iistretch na haba ng bakal kaya nagkaroon yan ng 2r theta na circumference ng bakal na naka bend pero maliit nlng yun idol kaya hindi ko na binabawas pa pwedeng ibawas yan kapag ang pinaguusapan natin ay Stirrups at Lateral ties binabawas yung maiistretch na bakal sa apat na corner ntio. Pwede mo nman gamitin yang Formula na na arrive mo idol. But exactuhan yan meaning 0,0. Yung ginawa ko nman ay base parin naman sa CODE test the Footing rebar kung kailangan na hook and after that its up to you kung gaano kahaba yung hook na ilalagay mo pwede ka maglagay pwede ring hindi as long as na prove mo na hindi kailangan ng Hook.

      @9:05 1000mm - 2*cover + 0.125(2) = 1100mm or 1.1m
      nakalito, no need of hook pero nag add nalang for uniformity sa F3.

      Yes po, kaya dapat kapag magpuputol gumamit ng mechanical or Manual para magputol ng bakal.

      Sorry for that I understand, I can't make it shorter. Rebars estimate is the most complicated part of Structural estimate.
      Estimate make easier if you use Excel, but now i want to show the basic.

    pano po mag solve sir ang sa spacing na 75? standard po ba yan sir? kasi yung sa plano po na binigay sakin di po nakalagay. salamat po.

      Spacing? Haba po ng hook yung 75, kung naverify niyo na hook not needed pwede kayo gumamit ng haba ng hook na 100mm 75mm 150mm as long as na prove niyo na hook not needed.

      Baka po yung tinutukoy niyo na 75 ay yung concrete cover, standard po yan kapag ang isang structural member ay directly contact sa lupa 75mm minimum ang conncrete cover kapag column beams naman na hindi nakapatong sa lupa 40mm minimum kapag suspended slab naman 20mm minimum
