Pick a scale, select a mode within that and just improv from a scale degree while outlining the mode unique intervals. That doesn't make it "less music" though, it's just a way to visualize what the fuck they are doing
That bassist is insane, its cool to see a band where the highlight is the bass playing because typcally bass is turned so quiet in the mix an is just a simplified version of what the rhythmn guitarist is playing.

This song is AMAZING! A fretless player who actually plays it like a fretless...in a death metal band! This is truly unique...it sorta has a danceable feel to it as well...damn I'm trying to explain this band to a friend but words cannot describe what I'm hearing!

I kind of find their stuff just exhausting after a certain point. Whereas with Beyond Creation, I want to listen to the same song over again and again. I don't get that desire with FF.
The bass player here is the main reason why I switched from playing with a pick to playing with fingers. His raw fucking sound comes from that sweet fretless, but the instrument follows the musician. Love this band, this is probably the tenth time I've commented on this video.

I've always wondered what is wrong with the audio in this video. At around 3:18 it sounds like they've faded in some weird thundering SFX. It's not there in the album version, so I'm guessing it's either something wrong with the audio here or they did it intentionally (which I doubt).
I was looking for a comment like this! I can only assume they are from the raw video itself. During music video shoots, they typically mimic playing but try to make as little sound as possible. That sound is probably the drums and song's playback. They probably forgot to mute it or something!

Way better than typical modern metal production, its nice to hear the actual instruments when the players are so skilled

Another good band to check out with really cool taps is Rings of Saturn, I'd recommend their songs Natural Selection and Eviscerate.
