Es interesante escuchar la evolución de estos alemanes pasaditos de rosca.
En "Retribution", se nota un acercamiento más a lo 'Death' con los riffs estruendosos y sucios de Kummerer. En "Cosmogenesis", Münzner y Grossman cambian totalmente el estilo de la banda a un adicto sonido más técnico y limpio. Para "Omnivium" sólo se notan ligeros cambios y líricas más instrospectivas. Ya en "Akróasis" Linus y Steffen explotan su potencial logrando una atmósfera más solemne y con tendencia 'speed'.
Pero ahora, con el estreno de Diluvium, se esperaba la propuesta del fermattaconservatorioboy de Trujillo (fanático del jazz fusion y funk), y mezclada con la pasadadevergues de Linus y una batería curiosa y distinta de Lanser, estoy que me mojo al escuchar el disco entero una y otra vez.

Holy shit, the guitar and drums are so much more crisp in this recording, the prog elements are also more apparent than any other Obscura release yet, what an incredible track.

It gives me chills everytime i listen to Obscura. It feels like i'm transcending to the infinite, releasing me from my mortal bonds. Looking god(cosmos) in the eyes. Mindfuck and eargasm at the same time. Fucking awesome.
The chords during the chorus are so catchy (and ominous)!
But 2:25 takes the cake in this song. Along with the new Beyond Creation, this is my most anticipated release this year. One song out, and you delivered! Can't wait for Diluvium!!!

3 days ago they posted the following: "While we prepare content and announcements for our new album, we still have one more music video of a song from Earthborn Evolution coming up very soon..." So we'll get more news before too long, I hope.

Wow! I was kinda afraid on how it would sound, but it's amazing, pretty brutal, way more straight forward, i would say a very Spawn of Possession esque vibe. The solo... excited to see what more Rafael have under the sleeves, pretty jazzy. Clip was cool too, cosmic sage Steffen got me xD
Well, Rafael and Sebastian are also Jazz musicians. Both wrote this song so it's pretty obvious that it would have some influences lol.
It has taken me nearly a year to come to terms with the fact that there will never be anything written that can top this and I'm absolutely fine with that.
I envy you! I HATE this song, and always skip it whenever I hear the album - often starting with Mortification - An Epilogue to Infinity and then Clandestine Stars - Emergent Evolution. The title track here is so forgettable to me :(

Just got home from seeing them on their first night of their Diluvium World Tour. They absolutely killed. In order of performance: Anisoptera, Exist, Inferi, Archspire, Beyond Creation, and Obscura. Every group ripped it up tonight. I think Archspire won best performance. Obscura has the deep catalog of songs, but Archspire whipped the crowd into a frenzy. Most fierce pit I've seen in a long time. Made the pit at the recent Slayer concert look like a cake walk at an old folk's home.
