Lost again - Motorcycle ride to solo hike in a state park - saw a submarine & got lost in the woods!

I rode my motorcycle to go hiking for the first time. I packed my hiking gear in a backpack then moved my motorcycle gear into the backpack to go hiking.
The hiking trip is at Muskegon State Park in Muskegon, Michigan, a 20 mile ride each way from my house (the ride was in the last video).
I set out into the woods, my pack heavy from the motorcycle boots and jacket. I walk through dunes with overlooks onto Lake Michigan. I walk along the Muskegon Channel where I see the USS Silversides - a World War II submarine that is now a museum. I walk along the shore of Muskegon Lake until the trail veers back into the woods.
In the woods, the trail disappears and I wander through the woods off-trail for a bit. I am directionally challenged, but I eventually find my way out!

Thank you! Yeah, the sand is tough. I went on another hike about a week after this and forgot the chain to lock up the helmet, so I had to carry that, too. That was miserable - but I don't think I'll ever forget the chain again! Another reason I want a top box...
