EDIT: Brown's ED REJECTION rate is 60%, DEFERRAL rate is ~20%, and ACCEPTANCE rate is ~20%.

i also got deferred from Brown. keep your head up; the deferral rate for this year was only 25% (the statistics were sent out through email to all guidance counselors), so a deferral is much better news than it would have been in previous years!

Unlike all the other schools, the problem with being "deferred" by Harvard is that they're waiting for one of their regularly accepted students to deny the offer and go somewhere else, and who does that to Harvard? Not many, few, if any, or so i would assume. But i DO wish you both good luck.
