Here's my question, which I don't you really showed the solution to: How did you go about removing the parking brake cable from the bracket assembly? You popped it out of the retaining mechanism and then immediately cut to the underside.
If I remember, the parking brake cable attaches to the pedal the same way it does everywhere else, by sliding a 13mm wrench over the prongs it just pops out

i just picked up a comanche and it needs alot of love rear end is bad and has the same rust yours has. keep up the videos they are very helpfull.
