I think this film is what made me an environmentalist at the age of nine. My 4th grade teacher, Mary Matulich, showed us this film in class. I loved it!

Only viewed this twice, once at school + another time at home 5 decades ago as a child. I remember the dancing bird doing the cha-cha. This is my 3rd time viewing this at home in 2021 with my high-tech tablet via internet as a middle-aged adult.

I remember watching this in elementary school in the early 1960s. Like on a rainy day.

Haven't seen this in 50+ years ! I saw this at Evans Elementary School, I remember all us kids laughing @ the 4:30 mark. I can still hear that projector clicking away Heck I can almost smell those purple Mimeo Graph work sheets.

It was one of the standard viewing in my school in the late 60's and early 70's, along with The Living Desert and Hemo the Magnificent. It's good to find this and rewatch it.

Great motion picture!Time-lapse and regular photography of God's half-acre creatures, the music of Mr. Paul Smith, and the voice of Mr. Winston Hibler all combine to reveal some of the many aspects of Jesus Christ's grandeur as the Master Artist of His creation.

You'll smile, Pa Co -- I was trying to remember the name of this today, not having seen it for 50 years, and I thought it was "God's Half Acre" -- because, well, it is God's creation :-) But we couldn't find it using that search term, so I searched other ways and found its original title. So fun to see it again!

I kind of prefer this to the current formulas of "Everything is endangered and it's your fault," or "animals really like to eat each other."

What in the world is a chameleon doing in this documentary? I just caught this on Disney+ and was left baffled as to what in the world an old world lizard is doing in what by all accounts is North America.

They have been introduced to southern california and Hawaii. Ive seen them in the wild in my area, maybe released by pet owners? I live in Northern california in a temperate Oak dominated environment.
