@@Mysticmountainforge You are very welcome.
Hi, came over from His Way Homestead Y’all. It is fantastic to see just what you can do with a piece of HOT metal. You really have a God given gift. God bless you.
Thanks for coming! I appreciate you watching!
@@Mysticmountainforge You are very welcome.
this is cool one
Very nice video. I am definitely going to give this a shot. Turned out very well there. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Forge On. God Bless.
Thanks I appreciate you watching!

Thank you for the kind words, I appreciate you watching!
Looks great Matt!
This is a cool build,
Would a 24oz ball ping hammer work well for this project.
Thanks! It should work great for one. I appreciate you watching!
@@Mysticmountainforge thanks
Good job love your video
Thank you! I appreciate you watching!
Yeah. Good job :)
i like that :)
That's BADASS !!
Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
THAT is a masterpiece! I love the care and heart YOU put into it! Do you know what steel the head was made of?
I want to make one, too however, my grinder s toast and I have no press! For a NORMAL Blacksmith that would only mean a lot more hammering! My problem is, that not too long after I began to get good, I was hit with Still's Disease. In my case it is eating all the cartilage from ALL of my joints! Heck, I'm 6 and seven eighths inches SHORTER than I was in 2001 when I was diagnosed with this rare disease!
I WILL do it but, it is going to take me a month or more to get it done! EVERYTHING I do is slower, now!
I love the build and the straight grained Hickory you had there in the axe handle was amazingly straight! I am going to try this as I have way more ball pein hammers than I need! What was the weight of the head you used?
Best wishes for continued success!
Keep these wonderful videos coming! You are a good man and a VERY GOOD craftsman!
Thanks, I appreciate you watching! That's sucks that you had that happen but the fact you didn't give up is truly inspiring! I would keep an eye out for a cheap log splitter and convert it into a forge press, as for the hammer I found it at a garage sale, I'm not sure of the weight but it did harden up nice in the quench.
@@Mysticmountainforge Thanks for the inspiration and the info! I was thinking that a log splitter might do, nicely! I live in WOOD country and should be able to save my shekels and pick up a decent one! Appreciate the tip!
you got a good sized axe outta that one. If you use a fullering die on top and a flat on the bottom before you draw out the bit, it will save you a lot of hammering on the next one... you will basically push the fuller to the bottom while eliminating the top fuller
Thanks, I will keep that in mind moving forward, I plan on making proper dies for my new forge press. I appreciate you watching!
It takes awhile to hammer out tomahawk out of a ball peen hammer, I have been hammering one day today.
That it can, definitely a project that takes a little time when using just a hammer. I appreciate you watching!
I don't think I would try making one with out a press ,it would be a lot of hammer work . :)
Thats the truth, It would have been interesting doing it with just a hammer.
good......................................
Yep. I appreciate you watching.
That axe head is so hot you can smoke your weed on it
Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
хорошая работа
