Love the way this looks! I have been using Canvas for 4 years now and hope that my courses look like yours one day! How do you set up your modules? Are they weekly, by unit, by needs (such as the Station Rotations), or a mixture?
Thank you so much! That's so sweet of you to say ❤ For my subject (science), it is a mix of Lesson Modules (created based on specific Standard(s) we were covering) and projects/station activities. I tried organizing it by week, which did work, I just found there to be more flexibility when I switched to focusing on Lessons. There was way less confusion for students navigating content, especially if we were working on something specific for multiple days!
@canvaslmsqueen thank you! I have organized mine by week, and starting this year by unit with weekly pages for students to go through, but it can be hard for students to navigate, even when I unpublished the modules. I teach English so it makes it hard because our units are so long.
@@jaceylawson4143 Of course! Yes, that is why I started doing "by Lesson" instead of unit. For example, I would teach "Forces & Motion" unit - this would be my "Module 1" but then the Module got way too long and complicated so I shortened it to the Module title "Module 1 Lesson 1." The next Module would then be "Module 1 Lesson 2" and so on until the Unit changed. I hope this makes sense! I can do a video on Module organization/labling if that helps!
@@canvaslmsqueen I would love that! Could you also do a video on how you created the station pages? I think you might have already done a video on creating the different colored boxes with rounded edges, but if not, I would love to see how you created them and put each of the pages together!
@ I am currently teaching plate tectonics, do I just search reading passages on the internet ? Also, thank you for teaching me how to use Canvas. I want to get better at it. I a,m on my schools PD committee teaching canvas and sharing your videos! I created a hyper doc!
Hello. I loved watching your video. I down loaded the stations module. When I went through the steps to import on my canvas page, I received rhe error message of "failed.....unsupported". Do you have any ideas as to why it failed during the import process?
Hello queen of canvas! I have a question for you, I saw something interesting in your video. I wanted to ask you how you enabled the editing menu for the task that you show in minute 9. Apparently it is like a PDF with the editing options similar to those of the teachers in speed grader, but the What shows would be for students? Sorry for the inconvenience, your content is very nice! thanks and greetings from Argentina!
Wow! Argentina! Thanks so much for watching my video. This is a great question! The PDF editing is enabled when you use the Student Annotation Assignment type. If you would like to learn how to create this kind of assignment, I have included a link to my other video where I show you how to do it! Hope this helps! Also, asking me questions is never an inconvenience! I love answering your questions - so feel free to comment/message me anytime! ❤ th-cam.com/video/cBUBRp5pWrQ/w-d-xo.html
Your video was very helpful to me, I did not take that configuration into account, thank you very much for your willingness to share your knowledge Canvas Queen❤@@canvaslmsqueen

@@jaceylawson4143 Great! Thanks for the inspiration! I am planning on doing an entire Page Layout video soon, which should cover the boxes again! :)

How do you get the reading materials to put in your TPT? M

@@TgeGreenMM usually texts that are considered Public Domain or also AI (but copyright can be a bit tricky with AI).

How do they get confetti?
This is within the Canvas Admin Setting. From the Dashboard click: Admin>Settings>Feature Options>Confetti for On-Time Submissions. Hope this helps!
