Is there any way that you can link the "buttons" you create on your "Home Page" to actually direct students to the appropriate page?

to recap - if you use it as an assignment, the student needs to sign in to lucid but if you use it as a page collaborative they do not need to - is that correct?

I have the free version... would you possibly know if this classic function of adding question banks is not available anymore? Whenever I type a title for the bank it just disappears.

This video was more teacher focused than ANYTHING Canvas has provided- the trainings I have attended have been so frustrating and show nothing useful. I had to figure out that a module is a unit - which let’s me know, there is no way the people who built this platform have EVER been a classroom teacher or nor have they ever seen a content unit because where did they get some of these terms that mean something quite different in the real world of a classroom. I love your enthusiasm for the platform and maybe if I had time to build an entire course inside of Canvas, I would see more value with it but currently Canvas is just MORE WORK for little outcome. I liked your tips, especially the annotation, although that is NOT how that word is typically used. We have been DRILLED for years to teach kids to annotate text, annotate standards but annotate a worksheet or graphic organizer, that is not a familiar use of the term so I will research this idea of “annotating” because while I understand, why is Canvas trying to create something that just makes teachers have to work HARDER by now having to explain more to students that already can barely remember to write their name on a paper [?]. I am looking for videos in an ELA classroom that a current teacher has and can show how they use Canvas. I also want to know how and when ELA teachers sit in front of a computer to grade or give feedback electronically to 100+ students and how often they do this because grading inside a platform is not something I see myself ever doing. However, I am not a fan of children being on devices all day or even half the day. I am so thankful that I learned during a time when building connections and having real discourse with people was encouraged and celebrated. I’d love to see the sales pitch from Canvas as they clearly have not spent enough time speaking to actual teachers. Not former teachers, superintendents or “specialists” but actual teachers because even the teachers at my school that use Canvas more often don’t like it and don’t know any of what your just shared in 5 minutes!!
