I only have three from the Les Exclusives line and they are Coromandel, Beige and Gardenia. The rest I don’t love enough to buy a full bottle of. I too collect Niche and Brand name perfumes, and unique perfumes from lesser known houses. I’d say I own about 50-60 full size bottles and hundreds of 2,5,10 and 20ml samples. That said, I will not buy any perfume from eBay ever again.I have shopped on eBay since 2001 and have sold a lot too and I do know how to buy, still whenever i buy perfumes, I always get fakes or watered down perfumes. Or you’ll spray it on and it smells good but 5 mins later the smell is completely gone. Amazon is the same. Then I have the hassle of returning the perfume and getting my money back. So no I do not recommend buying expensive perfume on eBay. Same with those discount perfume websites such as Fragrance net or Fragrance X, Max Aroma, etc. they are also rip off sites. I have ordered about 25 perfumes from each of those sites and each and every bottle was watered down or had no smell at all or they’ll send me weak testers with a quarter of the juice missing. I’ve had all kinds of problems buying from discount perfume websites. i had to return all of them.
Finally, someone who loves Beige! I absolutely adore it. My body chemistry usually destroys fragrances and turns them tannic, sharp, and awful. This isn't the case with most Chanel fragrances (or Cartier). The best fragrance on me is Beige, hands down. The honey comes to the foreground and is absolutely amazing, very unique. It isn't a sweet honey but it is a warm, rich, 'cozy' honey. My sister also happens to wear Beige but on her the floral notes are in the foreground, very fresh, bright and femine and the honey is barely noticeable but sweet. It smells gorgeous on her but you would never know we were both wearing the same perfume! We didn't know we both wore Beige until I visited her on a trip. We both said, "Wow, you smell fantastic! What fragrance are you wearing?" The Beige took on our personalities - she is very sweet, I'm, well, not so sweet. Beige is fantastic - I wouldn't be without it.

I just got Beige and testing it with my body chemistry, it changes so much throughout the day, sometimes I get honey, other times hawthorn is super strong. Usually their collection comes out first before other brands but, it looks like they will be the last ones trickling in. Did you see their collection with Kristen Stewart ( not sure of spelling)? +Princess Wendala I saw the Kristen Stewart/Mario Testino photos for Chanel Eyes but it was hard to formulate any ideas about the product from such arty black and white shots. I can see how her image meshes a bit with Keira Knightley who also models some of their makeup campaigns (less so Gisele Bunchen who is the face of Les Beiges).
Ambrette seeds are sourced from hibiscus and used to mimic animal sourced musk. I used to have body shop white musk in the 90s too but grew out of it. loved this review. thank you.

I wore No. 22 in college after my Georgio lost it's charm. Was all fragrance so heavy in the '80s? Now I can't stand it! I bought Jersey last summer and loved it at first but then it got heavy after wearing it all day. Gardenia is one of my favorites and I have an old bottle with the hole in the top instead of the atomizer. I love it but it reminds me of the turmoil (relative of course!) of my 20's. I'll have to check out your favorites when I make it downtown to Chanel again. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for the info! I'm waiting for Chanel to hopefully bring back the limited edition Une Fleur, such a distinctively unique scent that I find soothing. Any bottles around are over a decade old now. Some do keep surprisingly well, though. I recommend checking out the luxury Agonist brand. Quite different. Have a wonderful week! xx

I bought Misia and liked it at the beginning but ..... LOL .... so happy when the bottle ran out and I felt the same with Beige - too sicky for me . I do like La Pausa and maybe this might be my next Exclusif - love iris ---- the best Iris was by Guerlain - Iris Ganache which is sadly discontinued .
+LadyKoKo B So we went the opposite way on Misia - although there's time for me to go off it!! Have you tried Bel Respiro - you might like that if you like La Pausa.
I generally prefer EDP but in the case of Beige I have both and, other than price, there isn't much difference. EDP longevity is better as you would expect but both smell very similar on the skin.
My favourite is Coromandel & I collect Chanel, but I believe everyone should try most of them if possible, our skin will react differently to someone wearing the same Parfum! I’d like to try Beige & 22!

Beige can be quite sweet and cloying sometimes, that honey is very strong
On my skin the floral notes ring stronger but it is a very sweet perfume.

I think anything is suitable if you like it but it is not an immediately obvious 'masculine' fragrance.
what age group would suit 22?
I think it is a 'grown-up' fragrance whatever the chronological age!

I wish I could remember but I've had it for years. I think I bought it in a charity shop but it isn't European - from Asia I think.
so, was it just my nose? I found it very...so so soft. almost undetectable seconds after putting it on.
Not sure which one you meant. 1932 is faint on me (but not my clothes!) but the others have reasonable longevity I find.
